ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

And an angel of the Lord went up from Galgal to the Place of Weeping, and to Baithel, and to the house of Israel, and said to them, Thus says the Lord: I brought you up out of Egypt and led you into the land which I swore to your fathers; and I said, I will never annul my covenant with you.
And you shall make no covenant with those settled in this land, nor shall you bow down to their gods; but you shall break their carved images in pieces and pull down their altars. And you did not listen to my voice, for you have done these things.
And the people served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who lived long days along with Joshua, who had known all the great work of the Lord which he did in Israel.
And indeed all that generation were gathered to their fathers; and another generation arose after them who did not know the Lord, nor indeed the work which he did in Israel.
And they forsook the Lord, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and went after other gods, from among the gods of the nations round about them, and bowed down to them, and provoked the Lord to anger.
And the Lord was angry with fury against Israel, and delivered them into the hands of plunderers, and they thoroughly plundered them; and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, and they could no longer stand before their enemies.
In all things in which they went out, the hand of the Lord was against them for evil, as the Lord had spoken and as the Lord had sworn to them; and he afflicted them exceedingly.
And indeed they did not obey the judges, for they went whoring after other gods and bowed down to them; and they quickly turned aside from the way in which their fathers had walked, the way of listening to the words of the Lord. They did not do so.
And when the Lord raised up judges for them, the Lord was with the judge, and he saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for the Lord was moved to pity by their groaning before those who besieged them and pressed them hard.
And it came to pass, when the judge died, that they turned back and again acted more corruptly than their fathers, going after other gods, serving them and bowing down to them; they did not cast away their practices, nor their stubborn ways.
And the Lord was angry with wrath against Israel, and said: Because this nation has forsaken my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and they have not listened to my voice,
I also will no longer continue to remove from before them a single man of the nations which Joshua son of Naue left in the land. And he let them remain,
