10:1
ወልድ፡ ጠቢብ፡ ያስተፌሥሕ፡ አባሁ፡ ወወልድ፡ ዓብድ፡ ያኃዝና፡ ለእሙ።
所羅門的箴言： 智慧之子使父親歡樂； 愚昧之子叫母親擔憂。
The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father; but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.
10:2
ኢይበቊዕ፡ መዛግብት፡ ለኃጥአን፡ ጽድቅሰ፡ ታድኅን፡ እሞት።
不義之財毫無益處； 惟有公義能救人脫離死亡。
Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death.
10:3
ኢያስተፄንስ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ነፍሰ፡ ጻድቅተ፡ ወሕይወተ፡ ረሲዓንሰ፡ ያአትት፡ እምድር።
耶和華不使義人受飢餓； 惡人所欲的，他必推開。
Yahweh will not allow the soul of the righteous to go hungry, but he thrusts away the desire of the wicked.
10:4
እድ፡ ሀካይ፡ ብእሴ፡ ያቴሕት፡ ወእደ፡ ጽኑዕ፡ ብእሴ፡ ያብዕል።
手懶的，要受貧窮； 手勤的，卻要富足。
He becomes poor who works with a lazy hand, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth.
10:5
ወልድ፡ ምሁር፡ ጠቢበ፡ ይከውን፡ ወዓብድሰ፡ ላእከ፡ ይሬሲ፡ ርእሶ፡ ድኅነ፡ እመርቄ፡ ወልድ፡ ጠቢብ።
夏天聚斂的，是智慧之子； 收割時沉睡的，是貽羞之子。
He who gathers in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during the harvest is a son who causes shame.
10:6
ወልድ፡ ጠቢብ፡ ይትጌበር፡ በማእረር፡ ወወልድሰ፡ ዓብድ፡ ይነውም፡ በማእረር፡ ነሣኤ፡ ነፍስ፡ ይከውን፡ በውስተ፡ ዓውድ፡ ወልድ፡ ኃጥእ።
福祉臨到義人的頭； 強暴蒙蔽惡人的口。
Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
10:7
በረከተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ውስተ፡ ርእሰ፡ ጻድቃን፡ አፈረሲዓንሰ፡ ይፌጽም፡ ላህ፡ ግብተ።
義人的紀念被稱讚； 惡人的名字必朽爛。
The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot.
10:8
ዝክረ፡ ጻድቃን፡ ምስለ፡ ውዳሴ፡ ወስመ፡ ረሲዓንሰ፡ ይጠፍእ።
心中智慧的，必受命令； 口裏愚妄的，必致傾倒。
The wise in heart accept commandments, but a chattering fool will fall.
10:9
ልብ፡ ጠቢብ፡ ይትዌከፍ፡ ትእዛዘ፡ ወዘኢይትዔገሥ፡ በከናፍሪሁ፡ በማዕቅፍ፡ ይወድቅ።
行正直路的，步步安穩； 走彎曲道的，必致敗露。
He who walks blamelessly walks surely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out.
10:10
ወዘየሐውር፡ በየዋሃት፡ የሐውር፡ እሙነ፡ ወዘይትሀወክ፡ ፍናዊሁ፡ ይትከሠት።
以眼傳神的，使人憂患； 口裏愚妄的，必致傾倒。
One who winks with the eye causes sorrow, but a chattering fool will fall.
10:11
ዘይትቃጸብ፡ በአዕይንቲሁ፡ ለእከይ፡ ያስተጋብእ፡ ለሰብእ፡ ኃዘነ፡ ወዘሰ፡ ይዘልፍ፡ ገሃደ፡ ሰላመ፡ ይገብር።
義人的口是生命的泉源； 強暴蒙蔽惡人的口。
The mouth of the righteous is a spring of life, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
10:12
ነቅዐ፡ ሕይወት፡ ውስተ፡ አፈ፡ ጻድቃን፡ ወለአፈ፡ ረሲዓን፡ ይከድኖ፡ ኃጒል።
恨能挑啟爭端； 愛能遮掩一切過錯。
Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all wrongs.
10:13
ጽልአ፡ ያነሥእ፡ መዓት፡ ወለኵሎሙ፡ እለ፡ ይትገአዙ፡ ይከድኖሙ፡ ፍቅር።
明哲人嘴裏有智慧； 無知人背上受刑杖。
Wisdom is found on the lips of him who has discernment, but a rod is for the back of him who is void of understanding.
10:14
ብእሲ፡ ጠቢብ፡ እምከናፍሪሁ፡ ያወጽእ፡ ጥበበ፡ በበትር፡ ይዘብጥ፡ (ይዘበጥ)፡ ብእሲ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ልብ።
智慧人積存知識； 愚妄人的口速致敗壞。
Wise men lay up knowledge, but the mouth of the foolish is near ruin.
10:15
ጠቢብ፡ የኃብእ፡ አእምሮ፡ ወአፍ፡ ጒጒእ፡ ይቀርብ፡ ለቅጥቃጤ።
富戶的財物是他的堅城； 窮人的貧乏是他的敗壞。
The rich man’s wealth is his strong city. The destruction of the poor is their poverty.
10:16
ጥሪቶሙ፡ ለአብዕልት፡ ሀገር፡ ጽንዕት፡ ወቅጥቃጤሆሙ፡ ለረሲዓን፡ ንዴተ፡ አእምሮ።
義人的勤勞致生； 惡人的進項致死 。
The labor of the righteous leads to life. The increase of the wicked leads to sin.
10:17
ግብረ፡ ጻድቃን፡ ሕይወተ፡ ይገብር፡ ወፍሬ፡ ረሲዓን፡ ኀጢአት።
謹守訓誨的，乃在生命的道上； 違棄責備的，便失迷了路。
He is in the way of life who heeds correction, but he who forsakes reproof leads others astray.
10:18
ፍናወ፡ ሕይወት፡ የዓቅብ፡ ተግሣፅ፡ በተግሣፅ፡ ዘኢይዘለፍ፡ ይስሕት።
隱藏怨恨的，有說謊的嘴； 口出讒謗的，是愚妄的人。
He who hides hatred has lying lips. He who utters a slander is a fool.
10:19
ከናፍር፡ ልሙጻት፡ ይከድና፡ ጽልአ፡ ወእለሰ፡ ያወጽኡ፡ ጽእለተ፡ ዓብዳን፡ እሙንቱ።
多言多語難免有過； 禁止嘴唇是有智慧。
In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience, but he who restrains his lips does wisely.
10:20
እምብዝኀ፡ ነገር፡ ኢያመስጥ፡ ኃጥእ፡ እምኃጢአት፡ ወዘይምህከሰ፡ በከናፍሪሁ፡ ማእምረ፡ ይከውን።
義人的舌乃似高銀； 惡人的心所值無幾。
The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver. The heart of the wicked is of little worth.
10:21
ብሩር፡ ርሱን፡ ልሳነ፡ ጻድቅ፡ ወልበ፡ ረሲዓንሰ፡ የሐፅፅ።
義人的口教養多人； 愚昧人因無知而死亡。
The lips of the righteous feed many, but the foolish die for lack of understanding.
10:22
ከናፍረ፡ ጻድቃን፡ የአምራ፡ ነዋኀ፡ ወዓብዳንሰ፡ በንዴተ፡ አእምሮ፡ ይመውቱ።
耶和華所賜的福使人富足， 並不加上憂慮。
Yahweh’s blessing brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.
10:23
በረከተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ላዕለ፡ ርእሰ፡ ጻድቃን፡ ይእቲ፡ ታብዕል፡ ወኢታመጽእ፡ ኀዘነ፡ ውስተ፡ ልብ።
愚妄人以行惡為戲耍； 明哲人卻以智慧為樂。
It is a fool’s pleasure to do wickedness, but wisdom is a man of understanding’s pleasure.
10:24
ወስተ፡ ሐጒል፡ ይትመየጥ፡ ረሲዕ፡ ፍትወቱ፡ ለጻድቅ፡ ሥምረት፡ በኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
惡人所怕的，必臨到他； 義人所願的，必蒙應允。
What the wicked fear will overtake them, but the desire of the righteous will be granted.
10:25
በኅልፈተ፡ ዓውሎ፡ ይማስን፡ ረሲዕ፡ ጻድቅሰ፡ ተግኂሦ፡ ለዓለም፡ ይድኅን።
暴風一過，惡人歸於無有； 義人的根基卻是永久。
When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more; but the righteous stand firm forever.
10:26
ከመ፡ ቆዕ፡ ከንቱ፡ ለስነን፡ ወጢስ፡ ለዓይን፡ ከማሁ፡ ኃጢአት፡ ለእለ፡ አጥረይዋ።
懶惰人叫差他的人 如醋倒牙，如煙薰目。
As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to those who send him.
10:27
ፈሪሀ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ያነውኅ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ወዓመተ፡ ረሲዓንሰ፡ ይውኅድ።
敬畏耶和華使人日子加多； 但惡人的年歲必被減少。
The fear of Yahweh prolongs days, but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
10:28
ትጐነዲ፡ ትፍሥሕት፡ ምስለ፡ ጻድቃን፡ ተስፋሆሙሰ፡ ለረሲዓን፡ ትትኀጐል።
義人的盼望必得喜樂； 惡人的指望必致滅沒。
The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hope of the wicked will perish.
10:29
ፅንዑ፡ ለኄር፡ ፈሪሀ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወቀቅጥቃጤ፡ ለእለ፡ ይገብሩ፡ እኩየ።
耶和華的道是正直人的保障， 卻成了作孽人的敗壞。
The way of Yahweh is a stronghold to the upright, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.
10:30
ጻድቅ፡ ለዓለም፡ ኢይኤብስ፡ ወረሲዓንሰ፡ ኢየኀድሩ፡ ውስተ፡ ምድር።
義人永不挪移； 惡人不得住在地上。
The righteous will never be removed, but the wicked will not dwell in the land.
10:31
አፈ፡ ጻድቃን፡ ይነብብ፡ ጥበበ፡ ወልሳነ፡ ዓማፅያን፡ ይትኀጐል።
義人的口滋生智慧； 乖謬的舌必被割斷。
The mouth of the righteous produces wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut off.
10:32
ከናፍረ፡ ጻድቃን፡ ያውኅዛ፡ ሞገሰ፡ ወአፈ፡ ረሲዓንሰ፡ ይትከላእ፡ እምአእምሮ።
義人的嘴能令人喜悅； 惡人的口說乖謬的話。
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked is perverse.
