ወልድየ ፡ ለእመ ፡ ተወከፍከ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ትእዛዝ ፡ ዘዚአየ ፡ ወኀባ ፡ እከ ፡ በልብከ ።
My son, if you will receive my words, and store up my commandments within you,
我兒，你若領受我的言語， 存記我的命令，
2:2▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ትሰምዕ ፡ ዕዝንከ ፡ ጥበበ ፡ ወትሁብ ፡ ልብከ ፡ ለአእምሮ ፡ ወታቀርብ ፡ ለተግሣፅ ፡ ልበከ ።
so as to turn your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding;
側耳聽智慧， 專心求聰明，
2:3▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወለእመኒ ፡ ለጥበብ ፡ ጸዋዕከ ፡ ወለአእምሮ ፡ ወሀብከ ፡ ቃለከ ፡ ወለለብዎ ፡ ኃሠሥከ ፡ በዓቢይ ፡ ግብር ።
yes, if you call out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding;
呼求明哲， 揚聲求聰明，
2:4▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወለእመኒ ፡ ኃሠሥካ ፡ ከመ ፡ ብሩር ፡ ወከመ ፡ መድፍን ፡ ፈተንካ ።
if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures;
尋找它，如尋找銀子， 搜求它，如搜求隱藏的珍寶，
2:5▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
አሜሃ ፡ ተአምር ፡ ፈሪሀ ፡ እግዚአብሄር ፡ ወጠይቆ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ትረክብ ።
then you will understand the fear of Yahweh, and find the knowledge of God.
你就明白敬畏耶和華， 得以認識上帝。
2:6▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
እስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ይሁብ ፡ ጥበበ ፡ ወእምቅድመ ፡ ገጹ ፡ ለብዎ ፡ ወአእምሮ ።
For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.
因為，耶和華賜人智慧； 知識和聰明都由他口而出。
2:7▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወይዘግብ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ይገብሩ ፡ መድኃኒተ ፡ ወቃውም ፡ ለፍኖቶሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ጽድቅ ፡ ወፍኖተ ፡ እለ ፡ ይፈርህዎ ፡ የዓቅብ ።
He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
他給正直人存留真智慧， 給行為純正的人作盾牌，
2:8▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
አሜሃ ፡ ተአምር ፡ ፍትሐ ፡ ወጽድቀ ፡ ወታረትዕ ፡ መንኰራኵረ ፡ ሠናያተ ።
that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints.
為要保守公平人的路， 護庇虔敬人的道。
2:9▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
እስመ ፡ እመ ፡ መጽአት ፡ ጥበብ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሕሊና ፡ ዚአከ ፡ ወአእምሮ ፡ ለነፍሰ ፡ ዚአከ ፡ ሠናይተ ፡ ኮነት ።
Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path.
你也必明白仁義、公平、 正直、一切的善道。
2:10▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
በምክር ፡ ሠናይ ፡ ተዓቅበከ ፡ ወበሕሊና ፡ ጽድቅ ፡ ትከድነከ ።
For wisdom will enter into your heart. Knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
智慧必入你心； 你的靈要以知識為美。
2:11▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ከመ ፡ ታድኅንከ ፡ እምፎኖት ፡ እኪት ፡ ወእምብእሲ ፡ ዘኢይነብብ ፡ ወኢምንተኒ ፡ ህልወ ፡ ቃለ ።
Discretion will watch over you. Understanding will keep you,
謀略必護衛你； 聰明必保守你，
2:12▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወይ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ የኀድጉ ፡ ፍናወ ፡ ርቱዓተ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሑሩ ፡ በፍናወ ፡ ጽልመት ።
to deliver you from the way of evil, from the men who speak perverse things,
要救你脫離惡道 ， 脫離說乖謬話的人。
2:13▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወእለ ፡ ይትፌሥሑ ፡ ብእኩይ ፡ ወእለ ፡ ይትኃሠዩ ፡ በሚጠተ ፡ እኪት ።
who forsake the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness,
那等人捨棄正直的路， 行走黑暗的道，
2:14▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
እለ ፡ ፍናዊሆሙ ፡ መብእስ ፡ ወደጋን ፡ መንኰራኵሮሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያርኅቁከ ፡ እምፍኖት ፡ ርትዕ ፡ ወነኪር ፡ እምፍኖተ ፡ አእምሮተ ፡ ጽድቅ ።
who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the perverseness of evil,
歡喜作惡， 喜愛惡人的乖僻，
2:15▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወልድየ ፡ ኢትርከብከ ፡ ምክር ፡ እኪት ፡ እንተ ፡ ታኃድግ ፡ ተምህርተ ፡ በውርዙትከ ።
who are crooked in their ways, and wayward in their paths,
在他們的道中彎曲， 在他們的路上偏僻。
2:16▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወልድየ ፡ ዕቀብ ፡ ቃልየ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይባልሕከ ፡ እምብእሲት ፡ እኪት ፡ ወነኪርት ፡ እንተ ፡ ቃላ ፡ ትምይንት ፡ ዘኃደገት ፡ ምታ ፡ ዘንእሳ ፡ ወሥርዓተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እንተ ፡ ረስዓት ።
to deliver you from the strange woman, even from the foreigner who flatters with her words,
智慧要救你脫離淫婦， 就是那油嘴滑舌的外女。
2:17▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወአንበረት ፡ ኀበ ፡ ሞት ፡ ወኀበ ፡ ሶኦል ፡ ወምስለ ፡ ኃያላን ፡ እምድር ፡ አርትዓት ፡ መንኰራኵራ ።
who forsakes the friend of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God;
她離棄幼年的配偶， 忘了上帝的盟約。
2:18▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ የሐውሩ ፡ ባቲ ፡ ኢይትመየጡ ፡ ወኢይረክቡ ፡ ፍናወ ፡ ርቱዓተ ፡ ወኢይትረከቡ ፡ በዓመተ ፡ ሕይወት ።
for her house leads down to death, her paths to the departed spirits.
她的家陷入死地； 她的路偏向陰間。
2:19▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ሶበሰ ፡ የሐውሩ ፡ ፍናወ ፡ ርቱዓተ ፡ እምረከቡ ፡ ፍናወ ፡ ጽድቅ ፡ ልሙፃተ ፡ ኄራነ ፡ ይከውኑ ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወየዋሃን ፡ ይተርፉ ፡ ውስቴታ ።
None who go to her return again, neither do they attain to the paths of life.
凡到她那裏去的，不得轉回， 也得不着生命的路。
2:20▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
እስመ ፡ ራትዓን ፡ የኃድርዋ ፡ ለምድር ፡ ወጻድቃን ፡ ይተርፉ ፡ ውስቴታ ።
Therefore walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
智慧必使你行善人的道， 守義人的路。
2:21▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ፍናወ ፡ ረሲዓን ፡ እምድር ፡ ይሤረዋ ፡ ወዓማፅያንሰ ፡ ይሰደዱ ፡ እምውስቴታ ።
For the upright will dwell in the land. The perfect will remain in it.
正直人必在世上居住； 完全人必在地上存留。
