ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.

In their time the bishop of the church at Jerusalem was Narcissus, whose fame is widely celebrated among many even to this day. He held the fifteenth succession from the siege of the Jews under Hadrian, from which time, as we have shown, the church there was first constituted of the Gentiles, after those of the circumcision, and the first Gentile bishop set over them was Marcus.
After him, the local successions record that Cassian was bishop, and after him Publius, then Maximus, and after these Julian, then Gaius, after whom Symmachus and a second Gaius, and again another Julian, and besides these Capito, and Valens and Dolichianus, and after them all Narcissus, who according to the regular order of succession was the thirtieth from the apostles.
