You wrote to me, both you and Ignatius, that if anyone should go to Syria he might carry your letters there also; which I will do, if I get a suitable opportunity, either I myself or the one whom I send to be an ambassador on your behalf as well.
The letters of Ignatius which were sent to us by him, and others which we had with us, we have sent to you, just as you directed; they are appended to this letter, and from them you will be able to derive great profit. For they contain faith and endurance and all edification that pertains to our Lord. And concerning Ignatius himself and those who are with him, whatever you learn more certainly, let us know.
