Put to death, therefore, your members that are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry; for the sake of which the wrath of God comes upon the sons. The one even relieves himself upon silver, while the other has not so much as a share of bread.
What is this madness? What is this savagery so great? May it not come to pass that we should be brought to the trial of proceeding against the disobedient, nor to the indignation of permitting these things, but rather that willingly and with forbearance we should bear these.
that we may live unto the glory of God, and be delivered from the punishment yonder, and attain the good things promised to those who love Him, by grace and lovingkindness.
