35:1
Haec quoque locutus est Dominus ad Moysen in campestribus Moab supra Jordanem, contra Jericho :
耶和華在摩押平原－約旦河邊、耶利哥對面曉諭摩西說：
Yahweh spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,
35:2
Praecipe filiis Israël ut dent Levitis de possessionibus suis
「你吩咐以色列人，要從所得為業的地中把些城給利未人居住，也要把這城四圍的郊野給利未人。
“Command the children of Israel to give to the Levites cities to dwell in out of their inheritance. You shall give pasture lands for the cities around them to the Levites.
35:3
urbes ad habitandum, et suburbana earum per circuitum : ut ipsi in oppidis maneant, et suburbana sint pecoribus ac jumentis :
這城邑要歸他們居住，城邑的郊野可以牧養他們的牛羊和各樣的牲畜，又可以安置他們的財物。
They shall have the cities to dwell in. Their pasture lands shall be for their livestock, and for their possessions, and for all their animals.
35:4
quae a muris civitatum forinsecus, per circuitum, mille passuum spatio tendentur.
你們給利未人的郊野，要從城根起，四圍往外量一千肘。
“The pasture lands of the cities, which you shall give to the Levites, shall be from the wall of the city and outward one thousand cubits around it.
35:5
Contra orientem duo millia erunt cubiti, et contra meridiem similiter erunt duo millia : ad mare quoque, quod respicit ad occidentem, eadem mensura erit, et septentrionalis plaga aequali termino finietur, eruntque urbes in medio, et foris suburbana.
另外東量二千肘，南量二千肘，西量二千肘，北量二千肘，為邊界，城在當中；這要歸他們作城邑的郊野。
You shall measure outside of the city for the east side two thousand cubits, and for the south side two thousand cubits, and for the west side two thousand cubits, and for the north side two thousand cubits, the city being in the middle. This shall be the pasture lands of their cities.
35:6
De ipsis autem oppidis, quae Levitis dabitis, sex erunt in fugitivorum auxilia separata, ut fugiat ad ea qui fuderit sanguinem : et exceptis his, alia quadraginta duo oppida,
你們給利未人的城邑，其中當有六座逃城，使誤殺人的可以逃到那裏。此外還要給他們四十二座城。
“The cities which you shall give to the Levites, they shall be the six cities of refuge, which you shall give for the man slayer to flee to. Besides them you shall give forty-two cities.
35:7
id est, simul quadraginta octo cum suburbanis suis.
你們要給利未人的城，共有四十八座，連城帶郊野都要給他們。
All the cities which you shall give to the Levites shall be forty-eight cities together with their pasture lands.
35:8
Ipsaeque urbes, quae dabuntur de possessionibus filiorum Israël, ab his qui plus habent, plures auferentur : et qui minus, pauciores : singuli juxta mensuram haereditatis suae dabunt oppida Levitis.
以色列人所得的地業從中要把些城邑給利未 人；人多的就多給，人少的就少給；各支派要按所承受為業之地把城邑給利未人。」
Concerning the cities which you shall give of the possession of the children of Israel, from the many you shall take many, and from the few you shall take few. Everyone according to his inheritance which he inherits shall give some of his cities to the Levites.”
35:9
Ait Dominus ad Moysen :
耶和華曉諭摩西說：
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
35:10
Loquere filiis Israël, et dices ad eos : Quando transgressi fueritis Jordanem in terram Chanaan,
「你吩咐以色列人說：你們過約旦河，進了迦南地，
“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When you pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,
35:11
decernite quae urbes esse debeant in praesidia fugitivorum, qui nolentes sanguinem fuderint :
就要分出幾座城，為你們作逃城，使誤殺人的可以逃到那裏。
then you shall appoint for yourselves cities to be cities of refuge for you, that the man slayer who kills any person unwittingly may flee there.
35:12
in quibus cum fuerit profugus, cognatus occisi non poterit eum occidere, donec stet in conspectu multitudinis, et causa illius judicetur.
這些城可以作逃避報仇人的城，使誤殺人的不至於死，等他站在會眾面前聽審判。
The cities shall be for your refuge from the avenger, that the man slayer not die until he stands before the congregation for judgment.
35:13
De ipsis autem urbibus, quae ad fugitivorum subsidia separantur,
你們所分出來的城，要作六座逃城。
The cities which you shall give shall be for you six cities of refuge.
35:14
tres erunt trans Jordanem, et tres in terra Chanaan,
在約旦河東要分出三座城，在迦南地也要分出三座城，都作逃城。
You shall give three cities beyond the Jordan, and you shall give three cities in the land of Canaan. They shall be cities of refuge.
35:15
tam filiis Israël quam advenis atque peregrinis, ut confugiat ad eas qui nolens sanguinem fuderit.
這六座城要給以色列人和他們中間的外人，並寄居的，作為逃城，使誤殺人的都可以逃到那裏。
These six cities shall be refuge for the children of Israel, for the stranger, and for the foreigner living among them, that everyone who kills any person unwittingly may flee there.
35:16
Si quis ferro percusserit, et mortuus fuerit qui percussus est, reus erit homicidii, et ipse morietur.
「倘若人用鐵器打人，以致打死，他就是故殺人的；故殺人的必被治死。
“‘But if he struck him with an instrument of iron, so that he died, he is a murderer. The murderer shall surely be put to death.
35:17
Si lapidem jecerit, et ictus occubuerit, similiter punietur.
若用可以打死人的石頭打死了人，他就是故殺人的；故殺人的必被治死。
If he struck him with a stone in the hand, by which a man may die, and he died, he is a murderer. The murderer shall surely be put to death.
35:18
Si ligno percussus interierit, percussoris sanguine vindicabitur.
若用可以打死人的木器打死了人，他就是故殺人的；故殺人的必被治死。
Or if he struck him with a weapon of wood in the hand, by which a man may die, and he died, he is a murderer. The murderer shall surely be put to death.
35:19
Propinquus occisi, homicidam interficiet : statim ut apprehenderit eum, interficiet.
報血仇的必親自殺那故殺人的，一遇見就殺他。
The avenger of blood shall himself put the murderer to death. When he meets him, he shall put him to death.
35:20
Si per odium quis hominem impulerit, vel jecerit quippiam in eum per insidias :
人若因怨恨把人推倒，或是埋伏往人身上扔物，以致於死，
If he shoved him out of hatred, or hurled something at him while lying in wait, so that he died,
35:21
aut cum esset inimicus, manu percusserit, et ille mortuus fuerit : percussor homicidii reus erit : cognatus occisi statim ut invenerit eum, jugulabit.
或是因仇恨用手打人，以致於死，那打人的必被治死。他是故殺人的；報血仇的一遇見就殺他。
or in hostility struck him with his hand, so that he died, he who struck him shall surely be put to death. He is a murderer. The avenger of blood shall put the murderer to death when he meets him.
35:22
Quod si fortuitu, et absque odio
「倘若人沒有仇恨，忽然將人推倒，或是沒有埋伏把物扔在人身上，
“‘But if he shoved him suddenly without hostility, or hurled on him anything without lying in wait,
35:23
et inimicitiis quidquam horum fecerit,
或是沒有看見的時候用可以打死人的石頭扔在人身上，以致於死，本來與他無仇，也無意害他。
or with any stone, by which a man may die, not seeing him, and cast it on him so that he died, and he was not his enemy and not seeking his harm,
35:24
et hoc audiente populo fuerit comprobatum, atque inter percussorem et propinquum sanguinis quaestio ventilata :
會眾就要照典章，在打死人的和報血仇的中間審判。
then the congregation shall judge between the striker and the avenger of blood according to these ordinances.
35:25
liberabitur innocens de ultoris manu, et reducetur per sententiam in urbem, ad quam confugerat, manebitque ibi, donec sacerdos magnus, qui oleo sancto unctus est, moriatur.
會眾要救這誤殺人的脫離報血仇人的手，也要使他歸入逃城。他要住在其中，直等到受聖膏的大祭司死了。
The congregation shall deliver the man slayer out of the hand of the avenger of blood, and the congregation shall restore him to his city of refuge, where he had fled. He shall dwell therein until the death of the high priest, who was anointed with the holy oil.
35:26
Si interfector extra fines urbium, quae exulibus deputatae sunt,
但誤殺人的，無論甚麼時候，若出了逃城的境外，
“‘But if the man slayer shall at any time go beyond the border of his city of refuge where he flees,
35:27
fuerit inventus, et percussus ab eo qui ultor est sanguinis : absque noxa erit qui eum occiderit.
報血仇的在逃城境外遇見他，將他殺了，報血仇的就沒有流血之罪。
and the avenger of blood finds him outside of the border of his city of refuge, and the avenger of blood kills the man slayer, he shall not be guilty of blood,
35:28
Debuerat enim profugus usque ad mortem pontificis in urbe residere. Postquam autem ille obierit, homicida revertetur in terram suam.
因為誤殺人的該住在逃城裏，等到大祭司死了。大祭司死了以後，誤殺人的才可以回到他所得為業之地。
because he should have remained in his city of refuge until the death of the high priest. But after the death of the high priest, the man slayer shall return into the land of his possession.
35:29
Haec sempiterna erunt, et legitima in cunctis habitationibus vestris.
這在你們一切的住處，要作你們世世代代的律例典章。
“‘These things shall be for a statute and ordinance to you throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
35:30
Homicida sub testibus punietur : ad unius testimonium nullus condemnabitur.
「無論誰故殺人，要憑幾個見證人的口把那故殺人的殺了，只是不可憑一個見證的口叫人死。
“‘Whoever kills any person, the murderer shall be slain based on the testimony of witnesses; but one witness shall not testify alone against any person so that he dies.
35:31
Non accipietis pretium ab eo qui reus est sanguinis, statim et ipse morietur.
故殺人、犯死罪的，你們不可收贖價代替他的命；他必被治死。
“‘Moreover you shall take no ransom for the life of a murderer who is guilty of death. He shall surely be put to death.
35:32
Exules et profugi ante mortem pontificis nullo modo in urbes suas reverti poterunt,
那逃到逃城的人，你們不可為他收贖價，使他在大祭司未死以先再來住在本地。
“‘You shall take no ransom for him who has fled to his city of refuge, that he may come again to dwell in the land before the death of the priest.
35:33
ne polluatis terram habitationis vestrae, quae insontium cruore maculatur : nec aliter expiari potest, nisi per ejus sanguinem, qui alterius sanguinem fuderit.
這樣，你們就不污穢所住之地，因為血是污穢地的；若有在地上流人血的，非流那殺人者的血，那地就不得潔淨 。
“‘So you shall not pollute the land where you live; for blood pollutes the land. No atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed in it, but by the blood of him who shed it.
35:34
Atque ita emundabitur vestra possessio me commorante vobiscum. Ego enim sum Dominus qui habito inter filios Israël.
你們不可玷污所住之地，就是我住在其中之地，因為我－耶和華住在以色列人中間。」
You shall not defile the land which you inhabit, where I dwell; for I, Yahweh, dwell among the children of Israel.’”
