撒迦利亞書 第 8 章

And a word of the Lord Almighty came, saying:

Thus says the Lord Almighty: I have been jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy, and with great wrath I have been jealous for her.

Thus says the Lord: And I will return to Zion and encamp in the midst of Jerusalem; and Jerusalem shall be called the true city, and the mountain of the Lord Almighty a holy mountain.

Thus says the Lord Almighty: Old men and old women shall yet sit in the squares of Jerusalem, each holding his staff in his hand because of the multitude of days.

And the squares of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in her squares.

Thus says the Lord Almighty: If it shall be impossible in the sight of the remnant of this people in those days, shall it also be impossible in my sight? says the Lord Almighty.

Thus says the Lord Almighty: Behold, I am saving my people from the land of the east and from the land of the west;

and I will bring them in, and I will encamp in the midst of Jerusalem; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God in truth and in righteousness.

Thus says the Lord Almighty: Let your hands be strong, you who in these days hear these words from the mouth of the prophets, from the day when the house of the Lord Almighty was founded and since the temple was built.

For before those days the wages of men brought no profit, and the hire of cattle did not exist, and there was no peace for the one going out or coming in, because of the affliction; and I let all people loose, each against his neighbour.

But now I will not deal with the remnant of this people as in the former days, says the Lord Almighty.

But I will show peace: the vine shall give its fruit, and the land shall give its produce, and the sky shall give its dew; and I will give all these things as an inheritance to the remnant of my people.

And it shall be: just as you were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you, and you shall be a blessing. Take courage and be strong in your hands.

For thus says the Lord Almighty: Just as I purposed to afflict you when your fathers provoked me to anger, says the Lord Almighty, and I did not relent,

so I have determined and purposed in these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Take courage.

These are the words that you shall do: Speak truth each to his neighbour, and render a peaceable judgment in your gates.

And let none of you devise in your hearts the harm of his neighbour, and do not love a false oath; for all these things I have hated, says the Lord Almighty.

And a word of the Lord Almighty came to me, saying:

Thus says the Lord Almighty: The fast of the fourth and the fast of the fifth and the fast of the seventh and the fast of the tenth shall be for the house of Judah for joy and for gladness and for good feasts; and you shall rejoice, and love truth and peace.

Thus says the Lord Almighty: Many peoples shall yet come, and those inhabiting many cities.

And those inhabiting five cities shall come together into one city, saying: Let us go to entreat the face of the Lord and to seek the face of the Lord Almighty; I will go too.

And many peoples and many nations shall come to seek the face of the Lord Almighty in Jerusalem and to entreat the face of the Lord.

Thus says the Lord Almighty: In those days, if ten men from all the languages of the nations take hold, and take hold of the hem of a Jewish man, saying, We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.
