Ecce omnia haec vidit oculus meus , et audivit auris mea , et intellexi singula .
“Behold, my eye has seen all this. My ear has heard and understood it.
這一切,我眼都見過; 我耳都聽過,而且明白。

Secundum scientiam vestram et ego novi : nec inferior vestri sum .
What you know, I know also. I am not inferior to you.
你們所知道的,我也知道, 並非不及你們。

Sed tamen ad Omnipotentem loquar , et disputare cum Deo cupio :
“Surely I would speak to the Almighty. I desire to reason with God.
我真要對全能者說話; 我願與上帝理論。

prius vos ostendens fabricatores mendacii , et cultores perversorum dogmatum .
But you are forgers of lies. You are all physicians of no value.
你們是編造謊言的, 都是無用的醫生。

Atque utinam taceretis , ut putaremini esse sapientes .
Oh that you would be completely silent! Then you would be wise.
惟願你們全然不作聲; 這就算為你們的智慧!

Audite ergo correptionem meam , et judicium labiorum meorum attendite .
Hear now my reasoning. Listen to the pleadings of my lips.
請你們聽我的辯論, 留心聽我口中的分訴。

Numquid Deus indiget vestro mendacio , ut pro illo loquamini dolos ?
Will you speak unrighteously for God, and talk deceitfully for him?
你們要為上帝說不義的話嗎? 為他說詭詐的言語嗎?

numquid faciem ejus accipitis , et pro Deo judicare nitimini ?
Will you show partiality to him? Will you contend for God?
你們要為上帝徇情嗎? 要為他爭論嗎?

aut placebit ei quem celare nihil potest ? aut decipietur , ut homo , vestris fraudulentiis ?
Is it good that he should search you out? Or as one deceives a man, will you deceive him?
他查出你們來,這豈是好嗎? 人欺哄人,你們也要照樣欺哄他嗎?

Ipse vos arguet , quoniam in abscondito faciem ejus accipitis .
He will surely reprove you if you secretly show partiality.
你們若暗中徇情, 他必要責備你們。

Statim ut se commoverit , turbabit vos , et terror ejus irruet super vos .
Won’t his majesty make you afraid and his dread fall on you?
他的尊榮豈不叫你們懼怕嗎? 他的驚嚇豈不臨到你們嗎?

Memoria vestra comparabitur cineri , et redigentur in lutum cervices vestrae .
Your memorable sayings are proverbs of ashes. Your defenses are defenses of clay.
你們以為可記念的箴言是爐灰的箴言; 你們以為可靠的堅壘是淤泥的堅壘。

Tacete paulisper , ut loquar quodcumque mihi mens suggesserit .
“Be silent! Leave me alone, that I may speak. Let come on me what will.
你們不要作聲,任憑我吧! 讓我說話,無論如何我都承當。

Quare lacero carnes meas dentibus meis , et animam meam porto in manibus meis ?
Why should I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in my hand?
我何必把我的肉掛在牙上, 將我的命放在手中。

Etiam si occiderit me , in ipso sperabo : verumtamen vias meas in conspectu ejus arguam .
Behold, he will kill me. I have no hope. Nevertheless, I will maintain my ways before him.
他必殺我;我雖無指望, 然而我在他面前還要辯明我所行的。

Et ipse erit salvator meus : non enim veniet in conspectu ejus omnis hypocrita .
This also will be my salvation, that a godless man will not come before him.
這要成為我的拯救, 因為不虔誠的人不得到他面前。

Audite sermonem meum , et aenigmata percipite auribus vestris .
Listen carefully to my speech. Let my declaration be in your ears.
你們要細聽我的言語, 使我所辯論的入你們的耳中。

Si fuero judicatus , scio quod justus inveniar .
See now, I have set my cause in order. I know that I am righteous.
我已陳明我的案, 知道自己有義。

Quis est qui judicetur mecum ? veniat : quare tacens consumor ?
Who is he who will contend with me? For then I would hold my peace and give up the spirit.
有誰與我爭論, 我就情願緘默不言,氣絕而亡。

Duo tantum ne facias mihi , et tunc a facie tua non abscondar :
“Only don’t do two things to me, then I will not hide myself from your face:
惟有兩件不要向我施行, 我就不躲開你的面:

manum tuam longe fac a me , et formido tua non me terreat .
withdraw your hand far from me, and don’t let your terror make me afraid.
就是把你的手縮回,遠離我身; 又不使你的驚惶威嚇我。

Voca me , et ego respondebo tibi : aut certe loquar , et tu responde mihi .
Then call, and I will answer, or let me speak, and you answer me.
這樣,你呼叫,我就回答; 或是讓我說話,你回答我。

Quantas habeo iniquitates et peccata ? scelera mea et delicta ostende mihi .
How many are my iniquities and sins? Make me know my disobedience and my sin.
我的罪孽和罪過有多少呢? 求你叫我知道我的過犯與罪愆。

Cur faciem tuam abscondis , et arbitraris me inimicum tuum ?
Why do you hide your face, and consider me your enemy?
你為何掩面、 拿我當仇敵呢?

Contra folium , quod vento rapitur , ostendis potentiam tuam , et stipulam siccam persequeris :
Will you harass a driven leaf? Will you pursue the dry stubble?
你要驚動被風吹的葉子嗎? 要追趕枯乾的碎稭嗎?

scribis enim contra me amaritudines , et consumere me vis peccatis adolescentiae meae .
For you write bitter things against me, and make me inherit the iniquities of my youth.
你按罪狀刑罰我, 又使我擔當幼年的罪孽;
13:27▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Posuisti in nervo pedem meum , et observasti omnes semitas meas , et vestigia pedum meorum considerasti :
You also put my feet in the stocks, and mark all my paths. You set a bound to the soles of my feet,
也把我的腳上了木狗, 並窺察我一切的道路, 為我的腳掌劃定界限。

qui quasi putredo consumendus sum , et quasi vestimentum quod comeditur a tinea .
though I am decaying like a rotten thing, like a garment that is moth-eaten.
我已經像滅絕的爛物, 像蟲蛀的衣裳。
