36:1
Addens quoque Eliu, haec locutus est :
Elihu also continued, and said,
以利戶又接着說:
36:2
Sustine me paululum, et indicabo tibi : adhuc enim habeo quod pro Deo loquar.
“Bear with me a little, and I will show you; for I still have something to say on God’s behalf.
你再容我片時,我就指示你, 因我還有話為上帝說。
36:3
Repetam scientiam meam a principio, et operatorem meum probabo justum.
I will get my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
我要將所知道的從遠處引來, 將公義歸給造我的主。
36:4
Vere enim absque mendacio sermones mei, et perfecta scientia probabitur tibi.
For truly my words are not false. One who is perfect in knowledge is with you.
我的言語真不虛謊; 有知識全備的與你同在。
36:5
Deus potentes non abjicit, cum et ipse sit potens :
“Behold, God is mighty, and doesn’t despise anyone. He is mighty in strength of understanding.
上帝有大能,並不藐視人; 他的智慧甚廣。
36:6
sed non salvat impios, et judicium pauperibus tribuit.
He doesn’t preserve the life of the wicked, but gives justice to the afflicted.
他不保護惡人的性命, 卻為困苦人伸冤。
36:7
Non auferet a justo oculos suos : et reges in solio collocat in perpetuum, et illi eriguntur.
He doesn’t withdraw his eyes from the righteous, but with kings on the throne, he sets them forever, and they are exalted.
他時常看顧義人, 使他們和君王同坐寶座, 永遠要被高舉。
36:8
Et si fuerint in catenis, et vinciantur funibus paupertatis,
If they are bound in fetters, and are taken in the cords of afflictions,
他們若被鎖鍊捆住, 被苦難的繩索纏住,
36:9
indicabit eis opera eorum, et scelera eorum, quia violenti fuerunt.
then he shows them their work, and their transgressions, that they have behaved themselves proudly.
他就把他們的作為和過犯指示他們, 叫他們知道有驕傲的行動。
36:10
Revelabit quoque aurem eorum, ut corripiat : et loquetur, ut revertantur ab iniquitate.
He also opens their ears to instruction, and commands that they return from iniquity.
他也開通他們的耳朵得受教訓, 吩咐他們離開罪孽轉回。
36:11
Si audierint et observaverint, complebunt dies suos in bono, et annos suos in gloria :
If they listen and serve him, they will spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
他們若聽從事奉他, 就必度日亨通,歷年福樂;
36:12
si autem non audierint, transibunt per gladium, et consumentur in stultitia.
But if they don’t listen, they will perish by the sword; they will die without knowledge.
若不聽從, 就要被刀殺滅,無知無識而死。
36:13
Simulatores et callidi provocant iram Dei, neque clamabunt cum vincti fuerint.
“But those who are godless in heart lay up anger. They don’t cry for help when he binds them.
那心中不敬虔的人積蓄怒氣; 上帝捆綁他們,他們竟不求救;
36:14
Morietur in tempestate anima eorum, et vita eorum inter effeminatos.
They die in youth. Their life perishes among the unclean.
必在青年時死亡, 與污穢人一樣喪命。
36:15
Eripiet de angustia sua pauperem, et revelabit in tribulatione aurem ejus.
He delivers the afflicted by their affliction, and opens their ear in oppression.
上帝藉着困苦救拔困苦人, 趁他們受欺壓開通他們的耳朵。
36:16
Igitur salvabit te de ore angusto latissime, et non habente fundamentum subter se : requies autem mensae tuae erit plena pinguedine.
Yes, he would have allured you out of distress, into a wide place, where there is no restriction. That which is set on your table would be full of fatness.
上帝也必引你出離患難, 進入寬闊不狹窄之地; 擺在你席上的必滿有肥甘。
36:17
Causa tua quasi impii judicata est : causam judiciumque recipies.
“But you are full of the judgment of the wicked. Judgment and justice take hold of you.
但你滿口有惡人批評的言語; 判斷和刑罰抓住你。
36:18
Non te ergo superet ira ut aliquem opprimas : nec multitudo donorum inclinet te.
Don’t let riches entice you to wrath, neither let the great size of a bribe turn you aside.
不可容忿怒觸動你,使你不服責罰; 也不可因贖價大就偏行。
36:19
Depone magnitudinem tuam absque tribulatione, et omnes robustos fortitudine.
Would your wealth sustain you in distress, or all the might of your strength?
你的呼求 ,或是你一切的勢力, 果有靈驗,叫你不受患難嗎?
36:20
Ne protrahas noctem, ut ascendant populi pro eis.
Don’t desire the night, when people are cut off in their place.
不要切慕黑夜, 就是眾民在本處被除滅的時候。
36:21
Cave ne declines ad iniquitatem : hanc enim coepisti sequi post miseriam.
Take heed, don’t regard iniquity; for you have chosen this rather than affliction.
你要謹慎,不可重看罪孽, 因你選擇罪孽過於選擇苦難。
36:22
Ecce Deus excelsus in fortitudine sua, et nullus ei similis in legislatoribus.
Behold, God is exalted in his power. Who is a teacher like him?
上帝行事有高大的能力; 教訓人的有誰像他呢?
36:23
Quis poterit scrutari vias ejus ? aut quis potest ei dicere : Operatus es iniquitatem ?
Who has prescribed his way for him? Or who can say, ‘You have committed unrighteousness’?
誰派定他的道路? 誰能說:你所行的不義?
36:24
Memento quod ignores opus ejus, de quo cecinerunt viri.
“Remember that you magnify his work, about which men have sung.
你不可忘記稱讚他所行的為大, 就是人所歌頌的。
36:25
Omnes homines vident eum : unusquisque intuetur procul.
All men have looked on it. Man sees it afar off.
他所行的,萬人都看見; 世人也從遠處觀看。
36:26
Ecce Deus magnus vincens scientiam nostram : numerus annorum ejus inaestimabilis.
Behold, God is great, and we don’t know him. The number of his years is unsearchable.
上帝為大,我們不能全知; 他的年數不能測度。
36:27
Qui aufert stillas pluviae, et effundit imbres ad instar gurgitum,
For he draws up the drops of water, which distill in rain from his vapor,
他吸取水點, 這水點從雲霧中就變成雨;
36:28
qui de nubibus fluunt quae praetexunt cuncta desuper.
which the skies pour down and which drop on man abundantly.
雲彩將雨落下,沛然降與世人。
36:29
Si voluerit extendere nubes quasi tentorium suum,
Indeed, can anyone understand the spreading of the clouds and the thunderings of his pavilion?
誰能明白雲彩如何鋪張, 和上帝行宮的雷聲呢?
36:30
et fulgurare lumine suo desuper, cardines quoque maris operiet.
Behold, he spreads his light around him. He covers the bottom of the sea.
他將亮光普照在自己的四圍; 他又遮覆海底。
36:31
Per haec enim judicat populos, et dat escas multis mortalibus.
For by these he judges the people. He gives food in abundance.
他用這些審判眾民, 且賜豐富的糧食。
36:32
In manibus abscondit lucem, et praecepit ei ut rursus adveniat.
He covers his hands with the lightning, and commands it to strike the mark.
他以電光遮手, 命閃電擊中敵人 。
36:33
Annuntiat de ea amico suo, quod possessio ejus sit, et ad eam possit ascendere.
Its noise tells about him, and the livestock also, concerning the storm that comes up.
所發的雷聲顯明他的作為, 又向牲畜指明要起暴風。
