13:1
Ecce omnia haec vidit oculus meus, et audivit auris mea, et intellexi singula.
這一切,我眼都見過; 我耳都聽過,而且明白。
“Behold, my eye has seen all this. My ear has heard and understood it.
13:2
Secundum scientiam vestram et ego novi : nec inferior vestri sum.
你們所知道的,我也知道, 並非不及你們。
What you know, I know also. I am not inferior to you.
13:3
Sed tamen ad Omnipotentem loquar, et disputare cum Deo cupio :
我真要對全能者說話; 我願與上帝理論。
“Surely I would speak to the Almighty. I desire to reason with God.
13:4
prius vos ostendens fabricatores mendacii, et cultores perversorum dogmatum.
你們是編造謊言的, 都是無用的醫生。
But you are forgers of lies. You are all physicians of no value.
13:5
Atque utinam taceretis, ut putaremini esse sapientes.
惟願你們全然不作聲; 這就算為你們的智慧!
Oh that you would be completely silent! Then you would be wise.
13:6
Audite ergo correptionem meam, et judicium labiorum meorum attendite.
請你們聽我的辯論, 留心聽我口中的分訴。
Hear now my reasoning. Listen to the pleadings of my lips.
13:7
Numquid Deus indiget vestro mendacio, ut pro illo loquamini dolos ?
你們要為上帝說不義的話嗎? 為他說詭詐的言語嗎?
Will you speak unrighteously for God, and talk deceitfully for him?
13:8
numquid faciem ejus accipitis, et pro Deo judicare nitimini ?
你們要為上帝徇情嗎? 要為他爭論嗎?
Will you show partiality to him? Will you contend for God?
13:9
aut placebit ei quem celare nihil potest ? aut decipietur, ut homo, vestris fraudulentiis ?
他查出你們來,這豈是好嗎? 人欺哄人,你們也要照樣欺哄他嗎?
Is it good that he should search you out? Or as one deceives a man, will you deceive him?
13:10
Ipse vos arguet, quoniam in abscondito faciem ejus accipitis.
你們若暗中徇情, 他必要責備你們。
He will surely reprove you if you secretly show partiality.
13:11
Statim ut se commoverit, turbabit vos, et terror ejus irruet super vos.
他的尊榮豈不叫你們懼怕嗎? 他的驚嚇豈不臨到你們嗎?
Won’t his majesty make you afraid and his dread fall on you?
13:12
Memoria vestra comparabitur cineri, et redigentur in lutum cervices vestrae.
你們以為可記念的箴言是爐灰的箴言; 你們以為可靠的堅壘是淤泥的堅壘。
Your memorable sayings are proverbs of ashes. Your defenses are defenses of clay.
13:13
Tacete paulisper, ut loquar quodcumque mihi mens suggesserit.
你們不要作聲,任憑我吧! 讓我說話,無論如何我都承當。
“Be silent! Leave me alone, that I may speak. Let come on me what will.
13:14
Quare lacero carnes meas dentibus meis, et animam meam porto in manibus meis ?
我何必把我的肉掛在牙上, 將我的命放在手中。
Why should I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in my hand?
13:15
Etiam si occiderit me, in ipso sperabo : verumtamen vias meas in conspectu ejus arguam.
他必殺我;我雖無指望, 然而我在他面前還要辯明我所行的。
Behold, he will kill me. I have no hope. Nevertheless, I will maintain my ways before him.
13:16
Et ipse erit salvator meus : non enim veniet in conspectu ejus omnis hypocrita.
這要成為我的拯救, 因為不虔誠的人不得到他面前。
This also will be my salvation, that a godless man will not come before him.
13:17
Audite sermonem meum, et aenigmata percipite auribus vestris.
你們要細聽我的言語, 使我所辯論的入你們的耳中。
Listen carefully to my speech. Let my declaration be in your ears.
13:18
Si fuero judicatus, scio quod justus inveniar.
我已陳明我的案, 知道自己有義。
See now, I have set my cause in order. I know that I am righteous.
13:19
Quis est qui judicetur mecum ? veniat : quare tacens consumor ?
有誰與我爭論, 我就情願緘默不言,氣絕而亡。
Who is he who will contend with me? For then I would hold my peace and give up the spirit.
13:20
Duo tantum ne facias mihi, et tunc a facie tua non abscondar :
惟有兩件不要向我施行, 我就不躲開你的面:
“Only don’t do two things to me, then I will not hide myself from your face:
13:21
manum tuam longe fac a me, et formido tua non me terreat.
就是把你的手縮回,遠離我身; 又不使你的驚惶威嚇我。
withdraw your hand far from me, and don’t let your terror make me afraid.
13:22
Voca me, et ego respondebo tibi : aut certe loquar, et tu responde mihi.
這樣,你呼叫,我就回答; 或是讓我說話,你回答我。
Then call, and I will answer, or let me speak, and you answer me.
13:23
Quantas habeo iniquitates et peccata ? scelera mea et delicta ostende mihi.
我的罪孽和罪過有多少呢? 求你叫我知道我的過犯與罪愆。
How many are my iniquities and sins? Make me know my disobedience and my sin.
13:24
Cur faciem tuam abscondis, et arbitraris me inimicum tuum ?
你為何掩面、 拿我當仇敵呢?
Why do you hide your face, and consider me your enemy?
13:25
Contra folium, quod vento rapitur, ostendis potentiam tuam, et stipulam siccam persequeris :
你要驚動被風吹的葉子嗎? 要追趕枯乾的碎稭嗎?
Will you harass a driven leaf? Will you pursue the dry stubble?
13:26
scribis enim contra me amaritudines, et consumere me vis peccatis adolescentiae meae.
你按罪狀刑罰我, 又使我擔當幼年的罪孽;
For you write bitter things against me, and make me inherit the iniquities of my youth.
13:27
Posuisti in nervo pedem meum, et observasti omnes semitas meas, et vestigia pedum meorum considerasti :
也把我的腳上了木狗, 並窺察我一切的道路, 為我的腳掌劃定界限。
You also put my feet in the stocks, and mark all my paths. You set a bound to the soles of my feet,
13:28
qui quasi putredo consumendus sum, et quasi vestimentum quod comeditur a tinea.
我已經像滅絕的爛物, 像蟲蛀的衣裳。
though I am decaying like a rotten thing, like a garment that is moth-eaten.
