ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

16:1
καὶἐγένετολόγοςκυρίουἐνχειρὶΙουυἱοῦΑνανιπρὸςΒαασα
And the word of the Lord came by the hand of Iou son of Anani to Baasa:
Because I raised you up from the earth and made you leader over my people Israel, and you walked in the way of Jeroboam and made my people Israel to sin, provoking me to anger with their vanities,
And the rest of the acts of Baasa and all that he did and his mighty deeds, behold, are these not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?
And by the hand of Iou son of Anani the Lord spoke against Baasa and against his house, concerning all the evil that he did before the Lord, provoking him to anger by the works of his hands, so as to be like the house of Ieroboam, and because he struck him down.
And Zambri, the commander of half the cavalry, conspired against him; and he was in Thersa drinking himself drunk in the house of Osa the steward in Thersa.
And the people in the camp heard them saying: Zambri has conspired and has struck the king. And on that day, in the camp, they made Ambri, the commander of the army over Israel, king over Israel.
And it happened, when Zambri saw that his city had already been taken, that he goes into the cavern of the king's house and burned the king's house down upon himself with fire, and he died,
for his sins which he committed, doing what was evil before the Lord, walking in the way of Ieroboam son of Nabat, and in his sins by which he caused Israel to sin.
And the rest of the acts of Zambri, and the conspiracies which he joined — behold, are these not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
The people who were after Ambri prevailed over the people who were after Thamni son of Gonath; and Thamni died, and Ioram his brother, at that time, and Ambri reigned after Thamni.
And Ambri bought the hill Semeron from Semer the owner of the hill for two talents of silver; and he built on the hill, and called the name of the hill which he built after the name of Semer the owner of the hill, Saemeron.
And he walked in all the way of Ieroboam son of Nabat, and in his sins by which he caused Israel to sin, provoking the Lord God of Israel to anger with their vanities.
And the rest of the acts of Ambri, and all that he did, and his might — behold, are these not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
And Ambri slept with his fathers and is buried in Samaria, and Achaab his son reigns in his place. And in the eleventh year of Ambri, Iosaphat son of Asa reigns; he was thirty-five years old at his accession, and he reigned twenty-five years in Jerusalem, and his mother's name was Gazouba daughter of Selei. And he walked in the way of Asa his father, and did not turn aside from it, doing what was right before the Lord; only the high places they did not remove — they kept sacrificing on the high places and burning incense. And the agreements which Iosaphat made, and all the might that he exercised, and those against whom he waged war — behold, are these not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Iouda? And the rest of the entanglements which they engaged in in the days of Asa his father, he removed from the land. And there was no king in Syria, only a nasib. And king Iosaphat made a ship for Tharsis, to go to Sophir for the gold; but it did not go, for the ship was wrecked at Gasiongaber. Then the king of Israel said to Iosaphat: I will send out your servants and my young men in the ship. But Iosaphat was not willing. And Iosaphat slept with his fathers and is buried with his fathers in the city of Dauid; and Ioram his son reigned in his place.
And it was not enough for him to walk in the sins of Ieroboam son of Nabat; he also took as wife Iezabel daughter of Iethebaal king of the Sidonians, and he went and served Baal and worshipped him.
And Achaab made a grove; and Achaab went on doing provocations, to provoke his own soul, so as to be destroyed; he did more evil than all the kings of Israel who were before him.
In his days Achiel the Baithelite built Iericho; with Abiron his firstborn he laid its foundation, and with Segoub his younger he set up its doors, according to the word of the Lord which he spoke by the hand of Iesous son of Naue.
