3:1
ወዝክቱሰ፡ ወልድ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ ሀለወ፡ ይትለአክ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ቅድመ፡ ኤሊ፡ ካህን፡ ወክቡር፡ ውእቱ፡ ቃል፡ በእማንቱ፡ መዋዕል፡ ዘእግዚአብሔር፡ ወአልቦ፡ ራእየ፡ ዘይከውን።
童子撒母耳在以利面前事奉耶和華。當那些日子，耶和華的言語稀少，不常有默示。
The child Samuel ministered to Yahweh before Eli. Yahweh’s word was rare in those days. There were not many visions, then.
3:2
ወእምዝ፡ በይእቲ፡ ዕለት፡ እንዘ፡ ይነውም፡ ኤሊ፡ በውስተ፡ መካኑ፡ ወአዕይንቲሁኒ፡ አኀዛ፡ ይክብዳ፡ ወኢይክል፡ ርእየ ፤
一日，以利睡臥在自己的地方；他眼目昏花，看不分明。
At that time, when Eli was laid down in his place (now his eyes had begun to grow dim, so that he could not see),
3:3
ወማኀቶተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዓዲ፡ ኢያሠነዩ፡ ለአቢቶ፡ ወይነብር፡ ሳሙኤል፡ ውስተ፡ ቤተ፡ መቅደስ፡ ኀበ፡ ታቦተ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤
上帝的燈在上帝耶和華殿內約櫃那裏，還沒有熄滅，撒母耳已經睡了。
and God’s lamp hadn’t yet gone out, and Samuel had laid down in Yahweh’s temple where God’s ark was,
3:4
ወጸውዖ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወይቤሎ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ ሳሙኤል፡ ወይቤሎ፡ ነየ፡ አነ።
耶和華呼喚撒母耳。撒母耳說：「我在這裏！」
Yahweh called Samuel. He said, “Here I am.”
3:5
ወሮጻ፡ ኀበ፡ ኤሊ፡ ወይቤሎ፡ ነየ፡ አነ፡ መጻእኩ፡ እስመ፡ ጸዋዕከኒ፡ ወይቤሎ፡ ኤሊ፡ ኢጻዋዕኩከ፡ ግባእ፡ ስክብ።
就跑到以利那裏，說：「你呼喚我？我在這裏。」以利回答說：「我沒有呼喚你，你去睡吧。」他就去睡了。
He ran to Eli and said, “Here I am; for you called me.” He said, “I didn’t call. Lie down again.” He went and lay down.
3:6
ወደገመ፡ ዓዲ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ጸውዖቶ፡ ወይቤሎ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ ወተንሥአ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ ወሖረ፡ ኀበ፡ ኤሊ፡ ዳግመ፡ ወይቤሎ፡ ነየ፡ መጻእኩ፡ እስመ፡ ጸዋዕከኒ፡ ወይቤሎ፡ ኢጸዋዕኩከ፡ ግባእ፡ ስክብ።
耶和華又呼喚撒母耳。撒母耳起來，到以利那裏，說：「你呼喚我？我在這裏。」以利回答說：「我的兒，我沒有呼喚你，你去睡吧。」
Yahweh called yet again, “Samuel!” Samuel arose and went to Eli and said, “Here I am; for you called me.” He answered, “I didn’t call, my son. Lie down again.”
3:7
ወሳሙኤልሰ፡ ዓዲ፡ ኢያእመሮ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወኢተከሥተ፡ ሎቱ፡ ቃለ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
那時撒母耳還未認識耶和華，也未得耶和華的默示。
Now Samuel didn’t yet know Yahweh, neither was Yahweh’s word yet revealed to him.
3:8
ወጸውዖ፡ ዓዲ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ በሣልስ፡ ለሳሙኤል፡ ወተንሥአ፡ ወሖረ፡ ኀበ፡ ኤሊ፡ ወይቤሎ፡ ነየ፡ አነ፡ መጻእኩ፡ እስመ፡ ጸዋዕከኒ፡ ወሐለየ፡ ኤሊ፡ ከመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ጸውዖ፡ ለውእቱ፡ ወልድ።
耶和華第三次呼喚撒母耳。撒母耳起來，到以利那裏，說：「你又呼喚我？我在這裏。」以利才明白是耶和華呼喚童子。
Yahweh called Samuel again the third time. He arose and went to Eli and said, “Here I am; for you called me.” Eli perceived that Yahweh had called the child.
3:9
ወይቤሎ፡ ግባእ፡ ወስክብ፡ ወልድየ፡ ወእመቦ፡ ዘጸውዐከ፡ በሎ፡ በል፡ እግዚእየ፡ እስመ፡ ይሰምዐከ፡ ገብርከ ፤ ወሖረ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ ወሰከበ፡ ውስተ፡ ምስካቡ።
因此以利對撒母耳說：「你仍去睡吧；若再呼喚你，你就說：『耶和華啊，請說，僕人敬聽！』」撒母耳就去，仍睡在原處。
Therefore Eli said to Samuel, “Go, lie down. It shall be, if he calls you, that you shall say, ‘Speak, Yahweh; for your servant hears.’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
3:10
ወመጽአ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወቆመ፡ ወጸውዖ፡ ከመ፡ ቀዳሚ፡ ወይቤሎ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ በል፡ እስመ፡ ይሰምዐከ፡ ገብርከ።
耶和華又來站着，像前三次呼喚說：「撒母耳啊！撒母耳啊！」撒母耳回答說：「請說，僕人敬聽！」
Yahweh came, and stood, and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” Then Samuel said, “Speak; for your servant hears.”
3:11
ወይቤሎ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ለሳሙኤል፡ ናሁ፡ አነ፡ እገብር፡ ቃለ፡ ላዕለ፡ እስራኤል፡ ከመ፡ ኵሉ፡ ዘሰምዖ፡ የአኀዝ፡ ክልኤሆን፡ እዘኒሁ።
耶和華對撒母耳說：「我在以色列中必行一件事，叫聽見的人都必耳鳴。
Yahweh said to Samuel, “Behold, I will do a thing in Israel at which both the ears of everyone who hears it will tingle.
3:12
ወበይእቲ፡ ዕስት፡ ኣቀውም፡ ኵሎ፡ ዘነበብኩ፡ ላዕለ፡ ኤሊ፡ ወላዕለ፡ ቤቱ ፤ አእኀዝኒ፡ ወእፌጽምኒ።
我指着以利家所說的話，到了時候，我必始終應驗在以利身上。
In that day I will perform against Eli all that I have spoken concerning his house, from the beginning even to the end.
3:13
ወአይዳዕክዎ፡ ከመ፡ አትቤቀሎ፡ አነ፡ ለቤቱ፡ ለዓለም፡ በኀጢአት፡ ደቂቁ፡ እስመ፡ አሕሠሙ፡ ቃለ፡ ላዕለ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ደቂቁ፡ ወኢገሠጾሙ።
我曾告訴他必永遠降罰與他的家，因他知道兒子作孽，自招咒詛，卻不禁止他們。
For I have told him that I will judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knew, because his sons brought a curse on themselves, and he didn’t restrain them.
3:14
አኮኑ፡ ከመዝ፡ መሐልኩ፡ ለቤቱ፡ ከመ፡ ኢይደመሰስ፡ ኀጢአተ፡ ቤቱ፡ ለኤሊ፡ ኢበዕጣን፡ ወኢበመሥዋዕት፡ እስከ፡ ለዓለም።
所以我向以利家起誓說：『以利家的罪孽，雖獻祭奉禮物，永不能得贖去。』」
Therefore I have sworn to the house of Eli that the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be removed with sacrifice or offering forever.”
3:15
ወእምዝ፡ ሰከበ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ እስከ፡ ጸብሐ፡ ወነቅሐ፡ በጽባሕ፡ ወአርኀወ፡ ኆኃተ፡ ቤተ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ ወፈርሀ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ አይድዖቶ፡ ብኤሊ፡ ዘአስተርአዮ።
撒母耳睡到天亮，就開了耶和華的殿門，不敢將默示告訴以利。
Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the doors of Yahweh’s house. Samuel was afraid to show Eli the vision.
3:16
ወይቤሎ፡ ኤሊ፡ ለሳሙኤል፡ ወልድየ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ ወይቤሎ፡ ነየ፡ አነ።
以利呼喚撒母耳說：「我兒撒母耳啊！」撒母耳回答說：「我在這裏！」
Then Eli called Samuel and said, “Samuel, my son!” He said, “Here I am.”
3:17
ወይቤሎ፡ ምንትኑ፡ ነገሩ፡ ዘነገረከ ፤ ኢትኅባእ፡ እምኔየ ፤ ከመዝ፡ ለይረሲከ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወከመዝ፡ ለትምጻእከ፡ ለእመ፡ ኀባእከ፡ እምኔየ፡ ቃለ፡ እምኵሉ፡ ዘነገረከ፡ ወዘሰማዕከ።
以利說：「耶和華對你說甚麼，你不要向我隱瞞；你若將上帝對你所說的隱瞞一句，願他重重地降罰與你。」
He said, “What is the thing that he has spoken to you? Please don’t hide it from me. God do so to you, and more also, if you hide anything from me of all the things that he spoke to you.”
3:18
ወአይድዖ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ ለኤሊ፡ ኵሎ፡ ዘነገሮ፡ ወአልቦ፡ ዘኀብአ፡ እምኔሁ፡ ወይቤሎ፡ ኤሊ፡ ለይግበር፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ኵሎ፡ ዘአደሞ፡ ሎቱ።
撒母耳就把一切話都告訴了以利，並沒有隱瞞。以利說：「這是出於耶和華，願他憑自己的意旨而行。」
Samuel told him every bit, and hid nothing from him. He said, “It is Yahweh. Let him do what seems good to him.”
3:19
ወዐብየ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ ወሀሎ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ምስሌሁ፡ ወአልቦ፡ ዘወድቀ፡ እምነ፡ ኵሉ፡ ቃሉ፡ ውስተ፡ ምድር።
撒母耳長大了，耶和華與他同在，使他所說的話一句都不落空。
Samuel grew, and Yahweh was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground.
3:20
ወአእመሩ፡ ኵሉ፡ እስራኤል፡ እምነ፡ ዳን፡ እስከ፡ ቤርላቤሕ፡ ከመ፡ መሃይምን፡ ሳሙኤል፡ ወነቢዩ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር።
從但到別是巴所有的以色列人都知道耶和華立撒母耳為先知。
All Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of Yahweh.
3:21
ወደገመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አስተርእዮቶ፡ ከመ፡ አስተርእዮ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ለሳሙኤል፡ ወተአመነ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ ከዊነ፡ ነቢዩ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ በውስተ፡ ኵሉ፡ እስራኤል፡ አምአጽናፈ፡ ምድር፡ እስከ፡ አጽናፊሃ።
耶和華又在示羅顯現；因為耶和華將自己的話默示撒母耳，撒母耳就把這話傳遍以色列地。
Yahweh appeared again in Shiloh; for Yahweh revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by Yahweh’s word.
3:22
ወልህቀ፡ ኤሊ፡ ጥቀ፡ ወደቂቁሰ፡ ሐዊረ፡ ሖሩ፡ በፍኖት፡ እኪት፡ ቅድመ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
耶和華又在示羅顯現；因為耶和華將自己的話默示撒母耳，撒母耳就把這話傳遍以色列地。
Yahweh appeared again in Shiloh; for Yahweh revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by Yahweh’s word.
