And he did what was evil in the eyes of the Lord, and he walked after the sins of Jeroboam son of Nabat, who made Israel sin; he did not turn away from them.
And the Lord was angry with wrath against Israel, and he gave them into the hand of Azael king of Syria and into the hand of the son of Ader, son of Azael, all the days.
And Joachas besought the face of the Lord, and the Lord listened to him, because he saw the affliction of Israel, for the king of Syria afflicted them.
And the Lord gave salvation to Israel, and he came out from under the hand of Syria; and the sons of Israel dwelt in their tents as yesterday and the day before.
For there was left to Joachas no people except fifty horsemen and ten chariots and ten thousand foot soldiers, for the king of Syria destroyed them and made them like dust for trampling.
And the rest of the acts of Joachas, and all that he did, and his mighty deeds—are these not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?

And Elisaie fell sick with his sickness of which he died. And Joas king of Israel came down to him and wept over his face and said, 'Father, father! The chariot of Israel and its horseman!'
And he said, 'Open the window toward the east.' And he opened it. And Elisaie said, 'Shoot.' And he shot. And he said, 'An arrow of salvation to the Lord, and an arrow of salvation in Syria; and you shall strike Syria at Aphek until it is finished.'
And Elisaie said to him, 'Take bows.' And he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, 'Strike into the ground.' And the king struck three times, and he stopped.
And the man of God was grieved over him and said, 'If you had struck five or six times, then you would have struck Syria until it was finished; but now you shall strike Syria three times.'
And it came to pass, as they were burying the man, behold, they saw the band, and they cast the man into the tomb of Elisaie; and he went and touched the bones of Elisaie, and he lived and stood up on his feet.

καὶΑζαηλἐξέθλιψεντὸνΙσραηλπάσαςτὰςἡμέραςΙωαχας
亞撒伊勒在約阿哈斯的一切日子,都苦害以色列。
And Azael oppressed Israel all the days of Joachas.
And the Lord had mercy on them and had compassion on them and looked upon them because of his covenant with Abraam and Isaak and Jakob; and the Lord was not willing to destroy them, and he did not cast them away from his presence.
And Joas son of Joachas turned back and took the cities out of the hand of the son of Ader son of Azael, which he had taken out of the hand of Joachas his father in the war. Three times Joas struck him, and he restored the cities of Israel.
