ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

And it came to pass in those days that the Philistines gather together in their camps to go out to fight with Israel. And Anchous said to David, Knowing you shall know that you shall go out with me to war, you and your men.
And David said to Anchous, Thus now you shall know what your servant will do. And Anchous said to David, Thus I will make you chief of my bodyguard all the days.
And Samuel died, and all Israel lamented him, and they bury him in Armathaim, in his own city. And Saul had removed the ventriloquists and the wizards from the land.
And Saul said to his servants, Seek out for me a woman who is a ventriloquist, and I will go to her and enquire by her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman, a ventriloquist, in Aendor.
And Saul disguised himself and put on other garments, and he goes, he and two men with him, and they come to the woman by night. And he said to her, Divine for me, I pray, by the ventriloquist spirit, and bring up for me whomever I shall tell you.
And the woman said to him, Behold now, you know how much Saul has done, how he utterly destroyed the ventriloquists and the wizards from the land. And why do you ensnare my soul, to put it to death?
And he said to her, What did you perceive? And she said to him, An upright man ascending out of the earth, and he was wrapped in a double cloak. And Saul knew that this was Samuel, and he bowed upon his face to the ground and did obeisance to him.
And Samuel said, Why have you troubled me, to bring me up? And Saul said, I am greatly distressed, and the Philistines are making war against me, and God has departed from me and no longer listens to me, either by the hand of the prophets or in dreams; and now I have called you to make known to me what I shall do.
And the Lord has done to you as he spoke by my hand; and the Lord will tear your kingdom out of your hand and will give it to your neighbour, to David.
Because you did not listen to the voice of the Lord and did not execute the wrath of his anger upon Amalek, therefore the Lord has done this thing to you this day.
And the Lord will deliver Israel with you into the hands of the Philistines; and tomorrow you and your sons with you shall fall; and the camp of Israel the Lord will give into the hands of the Philistines.
And Saul hastened and fell, standing, upon the ground, and he was greatly afraid because of the words of Samuel; and there was no strength in him any more, for he had eaten no bread the whole day and the whole of that night.
And the woman came in to Saul and saw that he was greatly terrified, and said to him, Behold now, your handmaid has listened to your voice, and I have put my life in my hand and have listened to the words that you spoke to me.
And now listen, I pray, to the voice of your handmaid, and I will set before you a morsel of bread; and eat, and there shall be strength in you, for you will go on your way.
But he was unwilling to eat; and his servants and the woman constrained him, and he listened to their voice and rose from the ground and sat upon the stool.
