17:1
~267~ בעת ההיא אמר ה׳ אל משה הן קרבו ימיך למות, קח לך את יהושע בן נון משרתך והתיצבו באוהל מועד ואצונו, ויעש משה כן. וירא ה׳ באוהל בעמוד ענן, ויעמוד עמוד הענן על פתח האוהל. ויצו ה׳ את יהושע בן נון ויאמר לו, חזק ואמץ כי אתה תביא את בני ישראל אל הארץ אשר נשבעתי להם ואנוכי אהיה עמך. ויאמר משה אל יהושע, חזק ואמץ כי אתה תנחיל את הארץ אל בני ישראל וה׳ יהיה עמך לא ירפך ולא יעזבך אל תירא ואל תחת. ויקרא משה אל כל ישראל ויאמר להם, אתם ראיתם את כל הטובה אשר עשה לכם ה׳ אלוקיכם במדבר. ועתה שמרו לכם את כל דברי התורה הזאת ולכו בדרך ה׳ אלוקיכם, אל תסורו מכל הדרך אשר ציוה ה׳ אתכם ימין ושמאל. וילמד משה את בני ישראל חוקים ומשפטים ותורות לעשות בארץ, כאשר ציוהו ה׳. וילמדם את דרך ה׳ ואת תורותיו, הלא הם כתובים על ספר תורת האלוקים אשר נתן אל בני ישראל ביד משה. ויכל משה לצוות את בני ישראל, ויאמר ה׳ אליו לאמור. עלה אל הר העברים ומות שם והאסף אל עמך, כאשר נאסף אהרון אחיך. ויעל משה כאשר ציוהו ה׳ וימת שם בארץ מואב על פי ה׳, בשנת הארבעים לצאת בני ישראל מארץ מצרים. ויבכו בני ישראל את משה בערבות מואב שלושים יום, ויתמו ימי בכי אבל משה.
那時神對摩西說：「你的死期將近，帶你的僕人嫩之子約書亞站在會幕裡，我要囑咐他。」摩西便照辦。神在會幕中顯現雲柱，雲柱立在會幕門口。神囑咐嫩之子約書亞對他說：「你當剛強壯膽，因你必領以色列人進我向他們起誓的地，我必與你同在。」摩西對約書亞說：「你當剛強壯膽，因你必使以色列人承受那地為業，耶和華必與你同在，必不撇下你、不丟棄你，不要懼怕、不要驚惶。」摩西召一切以色列來對他們說：「你們見了耶和華你們的神在曠野向你們所行的一切善。如今你們要謹守這律法書一切的話，行耶和華你們神的道，不可離開耶和華所吩咐你們的道左右。」摩西把律例典章訓誨教導以色列人叫他們在那地遵行，照神所吩咐他的。他把神的道與祂的訓誨教導他們，就是寫在神藉摩西的手所賜以色列人的律法書上的。摩西吩咐完以色列人，神對他說：「你上希伯人山死在那裡歸到你列祖那裡，如你哥哥亞倫所歸的。」摩西照神所吩咐的上去死在那裡，在摩押地照神所說的，是以色列人出埃及地第四十年。以色列人在摩押平原為摩西哀哭三十日，摩西的哀期便滿了。
~267~ At that time, God said to Moses, your days are drawing near to death, take your servant Yehoshua son of Nun and stand in the tent of meeting and judge him, and Moses did so. And God saw a pillar of cloud in the tent, and the pillar of cloud stood at the entrance of the tent. And God commanded Joshua son of Nun and said to him, be strong and courageous because you will bring the children of Israel to the land that I swore to them and I will be with you. And Moses said to Joshua, be strong and courageous because you will inherit the land to the children of Israel and the Lord will be with you and will not let you down or leave you. Do not be afraid and do not suffer. And Moses called all Israel and said to them, You have seen all the good that the Lord your God did for you in the wilderness. And now keep all the words of this Torah and walk in the way of the Lord your God, do not deviate from the way that the Lord has commanded you to the right and to the left. And Moses taught the children of Israel laws and judgments and teachings to do in the land, when God commanded him. And he taught them the way of God and His teachings, which are written on the book of God's law that He gave to the children of Israel by the hand of Moses. And Moses was able to command the children of Israel, and God said to him to say. Go up to the mountain of the Hebrews and die there and gather to your people, when your brother Aaron was gathered. And Moses went up when God commanded him and died there in the land of Moab according to God, in the fortieth year of the children of Israel leaving the land of Egypt. And the children of Israel wept for Moshe in the plains of Moab thirty days, and the days of Moshe's mourning ended.
