And Avraham hastened and brought before them cow's butter and sheep's milk, and gave them to eat before he cooked the veal and they ate. And after that he brought the veal that he had made, and set it before them and they ate. And when they had finished eating, they said to him again, "I will return to you now. I am alive, and here is a son to Sarah your wife." In those days all the people of Sodom and Gomorrah and all the five cities of God were very bad and sinned against God, and they angered God with all their abominations. And they exalted him and did abominations and abominations before God, and their anger increased and they cried out very much before God in those days. And they had a valley in their land very wide, about a day and a half's walk, and in it there were springs of water and a lot of grass on the water. And all the people of Sodom and Gomorrah went there four days a year, they and their wives and their sons and all that they had, and they rejoiced there with drums and dances. Even when a foreigner came to their cities and brought his goods that he wanted to buy or that he wanted to sell, all the people of these cities gathered around him, women, young men and old men. And they all approached the man and forcefully took from all the goods, little by little, until the end of all the goods from the hand of her husband, which she had brought into the country. And when the owner of the goods argued with them to say what is this deed you have done to me, and they all approached him one by one and one by one showed him the little that he had taken and he said, I have not taken anything from you but a little that you have given me. And when the merchant heard this thing, he got up and went away from them in sadness and bitterness, and they all stood over him and followed him and drove him out of the city with a shout and a great uproar. And there was a man from the land of Elam, and he came on the way to go to his object. And with him one clothed donkey carries one good blanket dyed in every kind of color, and the blanket is tied with a rope on the donkey. And the man went on his way, and the sun came to him in the evening like the street of Sodom, and he sat there to spend the night, and no one gathered him home. And there was in Sodom in those days an evil man and a goat and a wicked man, and his name was Hidor.

~52~ And he raised his eyes and saw the man visiting in the street of the city, and he came before him and said to him, "Where do you come from and where are you going?" And the man said to him, I will go from Hebron to Elam, from there I will go. And I will pass this far and the sun will come upon me here, and I will sit in the street and no one will pick me up home. I also have bread and water, and hay and fodder for my donkey, there is no lack of anything. And Hidor answered and said to him, only all your needs are on me, but don't complain in the street. And he sat and ate with him, also on the second day. And the man got up to go on his way, and Hidor said to him, "Here, please turn today, now, rest here, and your heart will be good, and in the morning you will be fine and go on your way." And the man did not want to spend the night, but got up and tied his donkey. And it came to pass that he was dressing the donkey, and Hidor's wife said to him, Here is the man. He sat in the house for two days with us, eating and drinking, and did not give us any money for his food and drink. Now he will leave us without anything. And Hidor said to her, look like you. And the man tied his donkey to go and told Hidor to give him the rope and the blanket, to tie them on the donkey. And Hidor said to him, what do you say, and the man said to him that the master will give me the rope and the blanket dyed in every color that I have, which you hid with you in the house to keep them. And Hidor answered and said to the man, this is the solution to your dream that you saw the rope, your life will be very long in the land like a rope. And when you saw a blanket painted in every color, you will have a vineyard and plant a tree of every fruit in it. And the guest answered and said, "No, sir, because in the summer I gave you a rope and one blanket woven in all kinds of colors that you carried on the donkey for hiding." And Hidor answered and said, didn't I tell you that the solution to your dream is good, and such and such is the solution. Now the people will give me four pieces of silver as my reward for solving his dreams, and I did not ask from your hand but three pieces of silver.

~53~ And the man lashed out at Hidor's words and shouted a loud and bitter cry, and the man brought Hidor to the judge of Sodom, El Sherk. And the man spoke his words before only the judge, and Hidor answered him and said no because such and such was the matter. And the judge said to the guest, the handsome man will tell you the truth because he is known in the cities of God because dreams are solved because he is right. And the man shouted at the judge's words and said, No, my lord, because in the day I gave him a rope and one blanket was on the donkey to hide in his house. And his opponent is both in front of the judge, it means this is how it was and it means this is how it was. And Hidor said to the man, now give me four pieces of money that I take on the basis of dreams, I will not leave you anything, and give me the money for all the four meals that you ate in my house. And the man said to Hidor, tell the truth, I will pay you what I ate in your house, but give me the rope and the blanket that you hid in your house. And Hidor answered before the judge and said to the man, didn't I tell you that this is the solution to your dream, a rope, let my days be long like a rope and the blanket, you will have a vineyard and you will plant a tree of every fruit in it. This is a solution to your dream about right, but give me four pieces of money which I take as my salary because I won't let you have anything. And the man cried out for the words of Hidor and they both fought before the judge, and the judge ordered his servants to write and take them away from him in a panic. And they went out from the judge when they quarreled and all the people of Sodom heard them, and they gathered around them and they all shouted at the guest and drove him out of the city in a panic. And the man went his way on his donkey in bitterness of soul and sadness and weeping. And all the people ceased from them not to come to their cities, when they heard all the things that all the people of the cities of Sodom would do. And if the desolation sat in the land for days, and died of hunger because he would not find a mouthful to eat. And when he died, all the people of the city came and took their money and gold that they had given him. And every man who knew his money and the gold that he had given him, would take it and go. And all the poor man's clothes and all his clothing will be stripped from him at his death, and they will all fight over them, and whoever is stronger than his neighbor will take them. And after that they will carry him and bury him naked under one of the bushes in the desert, this is how they will do all the days to everyone who comes to them who dies in their country. And it came to pass that Sarah sent Eliezer of Sodom to Lot, to visit him in peace and to see him. And Eliezer went to Sodom and found a man from Sodom fighting with a poor foreigner, and the Sodomite stripped the poor man of all his clothes and went to him. And that poor man cried out before Eliezer, and begged him about what the man of Sodom had done to him. And Eliezer ran to the man of Sodom and said to him, Why do you do this to the man of misery who came to your land. And the man of Sodom answered Eliezer, saying, Your brother is that man, or we will give the people of Sodom to the judge today because you will speak about that man. And Eliezer argued with the man of Sodom about the poor man, and Eliezer came to take the clothes of the poor man from the man of Sodom. And the man rushed and hit Eliezer in the forehead with a stone, and a lot of blood came out of Eliezer's forehead. And the man saw the blood on Eliezer's forehead and the man strengthened Eliezer saying, Give my reward for that bad blood that I took from your forehead because that is the law and the Torah in our land. The wounded Eliezer said to him, You have wounded me and I will also give you a reward, and Eliezer did not listen to the words of the Sodomite.

~55~ And the man strengthened Eliezer and brought him to the judge of Sodom, to the one who called for judgment. And the man spoke to the judge and said, My Lord, this man did such and such to me, and I beat him with a stone, and bad blood came out of his forehead, and I did not want to pay my wages. And the judge said to Eliezer, this man will tell you the truth, give him his wages because that is the law with us in the land. And Eliezer heard the words of the judge and Eliezer picked up a stone and struck the judge and the stone sank into his forehead, and a lot of blood came out of the judge's forehead. And Eliezer said, "The same is your judgment in the land that I will give to this man, you will give it to him, for so are your judgments, you are diligent." And Eliezer left the man of Sodom with the judge, and went out and went his way. And it came to pass when the kings of Elam fought the kings of Sodom, and the kings of Elam recovered all the possessions of Sodom. And they also settled Lot and all his possessions with them. And her soul was filled with amnesty for that poor man and she provided him with bread in secret for many days, and that man's soul lived. And it came to pass that she went out to draw water and put the bread in the water jar, and when she came to the poor man's place, she took the bread out of the jar and gave it to the poor man, and he ate like this, she did for him for many days. And all the people of Sodom and Gomorrah wondered at that man why he lived in hunger for so many days, and they said to each other, "It is not that if he eats and drinks, for a man cannot live from hunger for many days when it is there and his face does not turn."

~56~ And three people will hide in the place of that poor man's seat secretly to know who will bring the bread for that man to eat. And Pelati daughter of Lot went out today to draw water and put the bread in the water pot and went to draw water and went to the poor man's place and took the bread out of the pot and gave it to the poor man and he ate. And the three men saw the thing that Pelati had done to that poor man and said, "But now here she is in his wealth, therefore he did not starve and his face did not change and he did not die like the first ones." And the three men came out of the place where they were hiding, and took the plate and the bread from that poor man's hand. And they took Pelati and brought her before their judges and said to them, such and such shall she do who provided that man with bread, therefore he did not die for many days. Now tell us what is the judgment of this woman who has crossed our religion. And all the people of Sodom and Gomorrah will gather, and light the fire in the street of the city, and bring the woman and throw her into the fire, and she will burn and be reduced to ashes. Also in the city of Adama there was a girl who was the daughter of a rich man from the people of Adama, and they did this to her. And he will come and go to the city of Adama to spend the night in the city and tomorrow he will go to his house, and sit opposite the door of the girl's father to spend the night there because the sun came to him in that place. And that girl will see him sitting at the door of the house and he will ask her for water to drink, and she will tell him who you are. And he said to her, "I have come today from my way, and the sun will come to me here, and I will lament it until tomorrow, and I will wake up in the morning and go on my way." And that girl came home, and brought out bread and water for that man to eat and drink. And that thing became known to the people of Adama, and they all gathered and brought the girl before the judges to judge about this thing. And the judge said, this girl has a death sentence for violating our religion, and such and such is her sentence. And all the people of those cities gathered, and brought that girl out and anointed her with honey from her foot to her crown when the judge spoke. And they hung her before the swarm of bees in the place of their cluster, and all the bees came upon her and stung her and destroyed all her flesh. And the girl screamed in front of the bees and no one looked at her and no one took pity on her, and her cry went up to heaven. And God was jealous of this thing and of all the deeds of the cities of Sodom that they had done, He said that they had plenty of bread and peace of peace and yet they did not hold poverty and poverty. And their wickedness and their sin before God increased greatly in those days, and God sent the two angels who came to Abraham's house to Sodom and Aria to destroy them.

At that time God will rain on Sodom and Gomorrah and on all the cities the God of brimstone and fire from God from heaven, and will overturn all the cities and the whole square and all the inhabitants of the cities and the vegetation of the earth. And Abraham got up in the morning to see the cities of Sodom, what was done to them, and he reflected and saw, and behold, the smoke of all the cities rose like the smoke of the furnace. And it happened on the Sabbath that Lot was in a cave with his two daughters and they made their father drink wine and lay with him, because they said there was no one in the land to live seed from them so they thought that the whole land was lost. And they both slept with their father and both of them were purified from their father, and she bore sons. And the firstborn called the name of his son Moab to say that from his father his daughter, he is the father of Moab to this day. And the young woman also called her son Ben Ami, he is the father of the children of Ammon to this day. And it came to pass after that that Lot himself and his two daughters traveled from there, and dwelt on the other side of the Jordan with his two daughters and their sons. And the sons of Lot grew up and went and took wives for them from the land of Canaan and bore them sons, and they multiplied and multiplied greatly.

~58~ And it happened at that time that Avraham traveled from Aloni from Mera and went to the land of the Philistines, and lived in Gerar. In the twenty-fifth year of Abraham's sabbath in the land of Canaan, which is the hundredth year of Abraham's life, Abraham came to the land of the Philistines. And it came to pass when they came to the land, that he said to Sarah his wife, Tell me, my sister, to all who ask you, that we may be delivered from the evil of the inhabitants of the land. And it came to pass when Abraham dwelt in the land of the Philistines, that the servants of Abimelech king of the Philistines saw Sarah, for she was very beautiful. And Sarah came to the house of Abimelech, and the king saw Sarah because she was beautiful and she was very good in his eyes. And he approached her and said to her, "What is the man with whom you came to our land to you?" Sarah answered and said, "He is my brother, and we will come from the land of Canaan to live wherever we find." Abimelech said to Sarah, "Here is my land before you. It is good in your eyes. Settle your brother in the land, but we must carry him and raise him over all the land after he is your brother." And Abimelech sent and called Abraham, and Abraham came before the king. And Abimelech said to Abraham, Behold, I have commanded to honor you in the land as is good in your eyes, for Sarah your sister's sake, and Abraham went out from the king's presence, and the king's burden went out after him. And it happened at evening time before the man went to bed and the king was sitting on his chair, and sleep fell on him and he lay down on the chair and slept until morning. And he dreamed, and behold, the angel of God came to him and his sword was drawn in his hand, and the angel stood over Abimelech and asked to kill him with the sword. And Abimelech was terrified in the dream and said to the angel, what have I sinned against you, that you have come to me to kill me with your sword. And the angel answered and said to Abimelech, "Are you dead for the woman you brought to your house last night, because she is the wife of Abraham's wife who came to your house?" Now answer that man's wife because she is his wife, and if you don't answer know that you will die and everything you have will die. And that night there was a great shout in the land of the Philistines and all the inhabitants of the land saw the form of a man standing with his drawn sword in his hand and he struck all the inhabitants of the land with his sword and struck them. And the angel of God touched the whole land of the Philistines that night, and there was a great commotion among them that night and the next day. And all their strength and all their origin was stopped for them, and the hand of God was with them at the word of Sarah, Abraham's wife, whom Abimelech had taken.

~59~ And it came to pass in the morning, that Abimelech awoke with trembling and panic and great fear, and he sent and called all his servants and told them his dream, and the people were greatly afraid. And one man standing over the king's servants answered and said to the king, My lord the king, return this woman to her husband, for he is a woman. The same thing also happened to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, when this man came from Egypt and said of his wife, she is my sister, because that is his way of doing when he came to live in the land he was going to. And Pharaoh sent and took this woman as his wife, and the Lord came upon him with vigorous blows until they restored the woman to a wife. And now, my lord the king, didn't you know what happened last night to the whole country, because there was a great uproar and great pain and shouting, and we know that this is about the word of the woman you took. Now return this woman to a woman, lest it happen to us like Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and his servants, and we do not die. And Abimelech hastened and called Sarah and she came before him, and he sent and called Abraham also and he came before him. And Abimelech said to them, What is this deed that you have done to me by saying that you are brothers and I will take this woman to wife. And Avraham said because I said lest I die for my wife. And Abimelech took sheep and cattle and male and female slaves and a thousand pieces of silver, and gave it to Abraham and gave him Sarah. And Abimelech said to Abraham, Behold, the whole land is before you, as you see fit, dwell there. And Abraham and Sarah his wife went out from the king's presence with great honor, and dwelt in the land of Gerar. And all the inhabitants of the land of Philistines and the servants of the king, are still in great pain from the blows of the angel which struck them all night at Sarah's word. And Abimelech sent to Abraham to say, Please pray for your servants to the Lord your God and remove this death from us. And Abraham prayed for Abimelech and for his servants, and God heard Abraham's prayer and God healed Abimelech and all his servants.

~60~ And at that time it was the end of days and four months for Abraham to sit in the land of the Philistines in Gerar, and G-d visited Sarah and G-d remembered her and she conceived and gave birth to Abraham a son. And Abraham called the name of his son born to him whom Sarah bore him, Isaac. And Abraham weaned his eight-day-old son Isaac, when God commanded Abraham to make his seed after him. And Abraham was one year old, and Sarah his wife was ninety years old, when Isaac was born to them. And the child grew up and weaned, and Abraham made a great feast on the day he weaned Isaac. And they came there and passed over and all the great men of the land and Abimelech king of the Philistines and all his servants and Phichel the captain of his army to eat and drink and rejoice at the feast which Abraham made on the day he gave Isaac his son. And Ishmael saw Isaac sitting opposite him, and he took the bow and drew it and gave her the arrow and said to strike Isaac. And Sarah saw the deed that Ishmael wanted to do for her son Isaac, and she felt very bad for her son. And she sent and called Abraham and said to him, expel this mother and her son because her son will not inherit with my son because such and such sought to be done to him today. And Avraham heard Sarah's voice, and he got up in the morning and took twelve loaves of bread and a cup of water and gave it to Hagar and sent her away with her son. And Hagar went to her with her son the desert and they dwelt in the wilderness of Paran with the inhabitants of the desert, and Ishmael became a bowman and dwelt in the desert many days. And after that he and his mother went to the land of Egypt and dwelt there, and Hagar took her son a wife from Egypt and her name was Marisa. And Ishmael's wife conceived, and bore him four sons and one daughter.

~61~ And Ishmael went after that, he and his mother and his wife and his sons and all that belonged to him, and they went and returned to the desert. And they made tents for them in the deserts where they lived, and they would travel and camp always every month and every year. And G-d gave Ishmael sheep and cattle and sheep for Abraham his father, and the man broke out very, very much. And Ishmael sat in the deserts in tents, traveling and camping for many days, and did not see the face of Abraham his father. And there were days when Abraham said to Sarah his wife, I will go and see my son Ishmael, for I longed for him to see him, for I had not seen him for days. And Abraham mounted one of his camels and went into the desert to seek his son Ishmael, because he heard that he was sitting in a tent in the desert with all that he had. And Avraham went to the wilderness, and arrived at the camp of Ishmael at midnight. וישאל על ישמעאל וימצא את אשת ישמעאל יושבת באהל עם בניה, וישמעאל אישה ואמו אין עמה. And Ishmael's wife answered and said to Abraham we have neither water nor bread, and she sat in her house and did not look at Abraham and did not ask him who he was. But she beats her sons and curses them, and also curses her husband Ishmael and humiliates him. And Abraham heard all the words of Ishmael's wife to her sons, and he was very sorry for him and it was bad in his eyes. And Avraham called the woman to come out of the tent to him, and the woman came out and stood against Avraham while Avraham was still riding the camel. And Abraham said to Ishmael's wife, When Ishmael your husband came here and you spoke to him like these words. A very old man came here from the land of the Philistines to ask for you and such and such his appearance and description and I did not ask him who he was. And he saw that you were not here and spoke to me and said: When your husband Ishmael comes and you say to him this is what the man said when you came, remove this tent peg that you put here and put another peg under it. And Avraham was able to command the woman, and she swung and went on the camel and went on her way.

~62~ And it happened after that and Ishmael came from his side, he and his mother, and sat in his tent. And his wife spoke to him like these words, here came a very old man from the land of the Philistines to ask for you and such and such his appearance and I did not ask him who he was. And he saw that you are not here, and he said to me to say when your husband comes here and you said to him thus said the old man remove the tent peg that you put here and put another peg under it. And Ishmael heard his wife's words, and knew that he was his father and that his wife did not respect him. And Ishmael understood the words of his father that he spoke to his wife, and Ishmael heard his father's voice and Ishmael drove that woman away and went to her. And Ishmael went after that to the land of Canaan and took another wife, and brought her to his tent in the place where he was there. ויהי מקץ שלוש שנים, ויאמר אברהם אלך לי עוד ואראה את ישמעאל בני ואבואה כי לא ראיתיהו זה ימים רבים. And he mounted his camel and went through the desert, and arrived at the camp of Ishmael at half-day. And he asked about Ishmael, and his wife came out to him from the tent and said, "My lord is not here because he went hunting in the field and tending the camels." And the woman said to Abraham, Sura, Lord, to the tent, and eat a mouthful of bread, for your soul has departed from the way. And Avraham said to her, I will not sit down because I will soon go on my way, but please give me a little water and I will drink because I am thirsty. And the woman hastened and ran and came to her tent and brought water and bread to Abraham and put them before him and begged him very much to eat, and he ate and drank and his heart was good and he blessed his son Ishmael. And he was able to eat and blessed God, and he said to Ishmael's wife: When Ishmael came, you said to him these words. ~63~ And at that time Ishmael arose and took his wife and his sons and his inheritance and all that he had, and traveled from there and went to the land of the Philistines to his father. And Abraham told his son Ishmael about the first wife that Ishmael took who was like this and did like this. And Ishmael and his sons dwelt with Abraham for many days in the land. And Abraham stayed in the land of the Philistines for many days, and the days increased and they were twenty-six years. And it came to pass after that, that Abraham went with his servants and all that he had, and they went out of the land of the Philistines, and went very far from it, and came as far as Hebron, and dwelt there. And Abraham's servants dug water wells there, and Abraham and all that he had sat on the water. And the servants of Abimelech king of the Philistines heard this, Abraham's servants dug water wells on the border of the land. And they came and fought with Abraham's servants, and robbed them of the great well that they had dug. And Abimelech, king of the Philistines, heard this thing, and he and the captain of his army and twenty of his men came to Abraham. And Abimelech spoke to Abraham about his servants, and Abraham rebuked Abimelech about the well that his servants stole from him. And Abimelech said to Abraham, As the Lord lives, who created the whole earth, I have not heard the thing that his servants have done to your servants except today. And Avraham took seven sheep and gave them to Abimelech, saying, "Please take from me, for it will be my testimony because I dug this well." And Abimelech took the seven sheep of the flock that Abraham had given him and also gave him a lot of sheep and cattle, and Abimelech swore to Abraham about the well. That's why he called that well Beer Sheva, because that's where they both swore by him. And they both made a covenant in Beersheba, and Abimelech arose and Pichol, the chief of his army and all his men, returned to the land of the Philistines. And Abraham and all that belonged to him dwelt in Be'er Sheva, and they remained there in that land for many days. And Avraham planted a great bush in Be'er Sheva, and there he placed four gates for the four winds of the world and he planted a vineyard in it. למען כאשר יבוא הולך אל אברהם ובא לו משער אשר יהיה נגד דרכו, וישב שמה ואכל ושתה ושבע והלך לו. ~65~ And Zuba ben Terah lived thirty years, and begat Aram and Achluz and Merik. And Aram son of Zuba son of Terah had three wives, and begat twelve sons and three daughters. And God gave Aram son of Zuba wealth and possessions and a large and heavy endowment of sheep and cattle, and the man prospered greatly. And Aram ben Tzuba he and his brothers and all his household traveled from Haran, and they went to live wherever they could find. And Ishmael boasted about Isaac saying, I was thirteen years old when God spoke to my father to take us. And I will do the word of God, which he spoke to my father, and I will give my soul to God, and I will not transgress his word, which he commanded my father. And Isaac answered Ishmael saying, why do you brag about me in this matter for a little meat from your flesh which God commanded to remove from you. As God lives, the God of Abraham, my father, because if God says to my father, please take Isaac and bring him up before me as an ascension, I did not withhold my soul because I will do it with joy. And God heard the word that Isaac spoke to Ishmael and it was good in God's eyes, and He said to test Abraham in this matter. And it will come to pass today, and the sons of God will come to stand before God, and the devil will also come among them, to stand before God, to make the sons of men blind before God. And God said to the devil, where do you come from, and the devil answered God and said, Oar in the earth and how you walk in it. And the Lord said to the devil, what do you say to me about all the people of the earth, and the devil answered the Lord and said, "I have seen all the people of the earth who will worship you and remember you when they are in the rain from before you." ~66~ Because of all that he did, he did not offer before you a burnt offering, or wholes, or one ox, or one calf, or one goat, of all that he slaughtered on the day of the camel, his son. Even from the day our son was born, today thirty-seven years he did not build an altar before you and did not offer a sacrifice on it to you, because he saw that you gave him what he asked of you and he left you. And the Lord said to the devil, set your heart on my servant Abraham, for there is no man like him in the land, perfect and upright before me, who fears God and turns away from evil. I am alive because if I said to him, please offer your son Isaac before me for the Ulah, he will not prevent him from me, and even though I say to him, the Ulah before me is from the sheep or from the cattle. And the devil answered God and said, My Lord, please speak to Abraham according to this thing which you have spoken, if he does not pass and change your words today. At that time God spoke to Abraham, and Abraham said to him, and he said, "Here I am." And he said, "Please take your son, your only son, whom you loved, Isaac, and go to the land of the Moriahs, and raise him there to the altar on one of the mountains, where you will see a cloud and glory there." And Avraham said in his heart, How shall I do until I separate Isaac, the son of Mishra from his mother, to bring him up before the Lord for an offering. And Abraham came to the tent and sat before Sarah his wife, and spoke to her like these words. Our son Yitzchak has grown up and has not studied the worship of his God for days, now I will go to my place tomorrow and bring us there and beyond my son and there he will learn the ways of God. Because they will teach him to know God and to know when he prays before God at any time and he will be answered, and to know there the way of worshiping God his God. And Sarah said, You have spoken well, go, Lord, and do to him as you have spoken. However, don't take my son away from me and he won't sit there for many days, because my soul is very much tied to his soul. And Abraham said to Sarah, my daughter please heal the face of the Lord our God, who will do good to us. And Sarah took her son Yitzchak and slept with her at night, and she watered him and hugged him and kept him until morning. And you will say to him, my son, how can my soul be separated from you, and you will water him and hug him more and weep with him. And she commanded Abraham his father over him, and Sarah said to Abraham, My Lord, please keep your son and keep your eyes on him, for I have no other son and no daughter but his mother. Please do not leave us if he is hungry, feed him bread and if he is thirsty give him water, and do not let him walk on his feet or sit in the sun. And don't leave him to walk the road alone and don't force him for whatever he says, and do to him whatever he tells you. And your grief sang another great cry to Yitzchak that night, and you will mourn him until the morning.

~67~ And it came to pass in the morning, that Sarah took a very good and beautiful garment from the clothes that she had in the house, than Abimelech had given her. And clothe your son Isaac and put a turban on his head, and put a precious stone on the turban. And she gave them a side on the way, and he went out, and Isaac and Abraham his father went, and their slaves went with them to Solomon on the way. And Sarah said, who knows if I will see you again my son from this day. And after that Sarah sat over Isaac weeping profusely, and all her maidservants and servants returned with her to the tent, and Abraham went with Isaac his son to bring him up before the Lord as they commanded him. And Avraham also took his two boys with him, Ishmael son of Hagar and his servant Eliezer, and they went with them. And they were walking along the road, and the boys talked to each other like these things. And Ishmael said to Eliezer, Behold, my father Abraham is going to sacrifice Isaac to God as he commanded him, and he was on his return and gave me all that he had for his inheritance because I am his firstborn son. And Eliezer answered Ishmael and said to him, didn't Abraham drive you and your mother away and swear not to bequeath to you all that he has from the nation. And to whom will he give all that he has and all his affections if not to his faithful servant in his house whom I served day and night and will do all that he tells me, because he will bequeath to me all that he has after his death.

~68~ And it happened that Abraham was walking with his son Isaac on the road, and the devil came and resembled Abraham as a very old man, very meek and very low spirited. And he came to Abraham and said to him, You are a fool or a fool that you are going to do this thing today to your only son. Because God gave you a son at the end of your days, at the time of your old age, and you went and slaughtered him today for no hams, and you lost the life of your only son from the earth. Didn't you know if you hadn't heard that this thing is not from the Lord, because the Lord will not do to a man in this land to tell him to slaughter your son. And Avraham heard this, and knew that it was the word of the devil who sought to make him stray from the path of God. And Avraham did not want to hear the voice of the devil, and Avraham challenged him and went to him. And the devil sat down and came to Isaac, and he resembled Isaac as a man, a handsome young man with a very handsome appearance. And he approached Isaac and said to him, "Didn't you know if you hadn't heard that your father, this foolish old man, is bringing you to be slaughtered today for nothing?" Now, my son, you will not listen to him and you will not love him because the old man is a fool, and you will not lose your precious soul and you will prolong pleasure from the earth. And Isaac heard this thing and said to Abraham his father, hear my father what this man spoke to me so and so spoke. And Abraham answered Isaac his son and said to him, beware of him and do not listen to his words and do not love him, because Satan is for us to divert us from the commandments of our God today. And Avraham challenged the devil again, and the devil went to him above them. And he saw that he could not do it for them, and he hid himself from them, and he went and passed before them on the road, and it was like a big stream full of water on the road, and Abraham and Isaac and his two boys came to that place and they saw a very large and huge stream with tremendous water. And they will come inside the stream and pass through it, and the water passes under their feet. And they walked in that stream and drowned, and the water came up to their necks, and they were all afraid together of the water. And they were passing by a stream, and Avraham knew that place and knew that there was no water in that place. And Abraham said to Isaac his son, I know this place where there is no stream or water. Now Satan is the one who will do all these to us, to move us from the commandments of our God this day. And Abraham challenged the devil and said to him, God challenges you, Satan, go away from us, for we have walked in the commandments of our God. And Satan was afraid of Abraham's voice and went over them.

~69~ And that place became dry as it was in the beginning, and Abraham and Isaac went to the place that God told him. And it came to pass on the third day, that Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place that God had told him from afar. And he saw upon him a pillar of fire from the earth to the heavens and a heavy cloud on the mountain, and the glory of God in the cloud. And Abraham said to Isaac his son, You have shown on that mountain which we see from afar what I see on it. And Isaac answered and said to his father, I saw and behold a pillar of fire and a cloud, and the glory of God was seen in the cloud above it. And Avraham knew that his son Yitzchak wanted to ascend before God. Abraham said to Eliezer and to his son Ishmael, you also showed what we saw on that mountain from afar. And they answered and said, We saw nothing but a mountain like the mountains of the whole earth, and Abraham knew that we would not be willing before God to go with them. And Abraham said to them, Come back here with the donkey, and I and Isaac my son, let us go up to that mountain, and we will bow there before God and return to you. And her name Eliezer and Ishmael dwelt in that place, when Avraham fasted. And Abraham took wood for the offering and put it on Isaac his son, and they took the fire and the food and they both went to that place. And when they were gone, Isaac said to his father, Here is a fire and the wood with us, and where is the lamb to sacrifice before God for the offering. And Abraham answered his son Isaac, saying, My son, God has chosen you to be an innocent sacrifice under the Lamb. And Isaac said to his father, All that the Lord has spoken to you, I will do with joy and kindness. And Abraham said further to Isaac his son, is there in your heart a thought about this or a counsel that is not right, tell me, my son, do not perish from me. And Isaac answered his father Abraham and said to him, As the Lord lives, my father, and as my soul lives, if there is anything in my heart to be right and wrong about the thing that the Lord has spoken to you. And neither bone of my body nor flesh of my flesh moved nor moved from this thing, nor did I think of any evil thing or advice in this matter in my heart, for if I have a happy heart and a good soul I am in God's word, but I said blessed is God, who desires me today to come before Him. And Abraham was very happy at Isaac's words, and they both went and came to that place of which God had spoken. And Avraham came to build the altar in that place, and Avraham was building and Isaac gave stones and material in his hand until they were all used up to build the altar.

~70~ And Avraham took the trees and piled them on the altar that he had built, and took his son Isaac and imprisoned him in his place on the trees that were on the altar to be slaughtered before the Lord. And Isaac said to his father, My father is very strict, and bind me, and then put me on the altar, lest I return and move and break away from the support of the food that is in my flesh and defile the burnt offering, and Abraham did so. And Isaac said to his father, Father, when you have slaughtered me and burned me as a sacrifice, take with you what is left of my ashes and bring it to Sarah my mother and tell her this is a smell for Isaac. But you shall not speak this thing to her on her Sabbath before a well or in a high place, lest she cast her soul upon me and die. And Abraham heard the words of Isaac, and Abraham raised his voice and wept at the words of Isaac, and Abraham's tears fell on his son Isaac. Isaac also wept very much and said to his father, Hurry my father and do the will of the Lord our God in me as he commanded. And the heart of Abraham and Isaac rejoiced in this thing, which is the Lord's fast, but the eye of Mr. will weep and the heart rejoice. And Abraham tied his son Isaac and placed him on the altar above the trees, and Isaac simply bowed his neck before his father on the altar. And Avraham sent his hand to take the food, to slaughter his son for the offering on the altar. And angels of mercy came at that time before G-d, and spoke to him on Isaac's behalf as mentioned. Please, Lord, you are a merciful and gentle king for all that you have created in heaven and on earth and you give life to them all, grant a ransom and redemption under your servant Isaac and have mercy on Abraham and Isaac his son who have done your word today. You showed, O God, that your servant Isaac, son of Abraham, was bound and bound for sacrifice on the altar as an animal. Now, O God, have mercy on them. At that time God appeared to Abraham and called to him from heaven and said to him, Do not lay your hand on the boy and do not do anything to him because now I know that you fear God in doing this thing, and you have not darkened your only son from me. And Avraham lifted up his eyes and saw, and behold a ram clinging to the thicket by its horns, it is the ram that the Lord God created in the earth on the day he made earth and heaven. And where is the Lord God that lamb from that day forward, to be under Isaac for the Ulah. And that ram went closer and closer to Abraham, and the devil took hold of him and entangled his horns in a thicket so that he would not come near Abraham so that Abraham would slaughter his son. And Avraham saw that ram coming closer and closer in front of Avraham, and the devil stopped us. And Abraham went and took him and brought him before the altar, released his son Isaac from his prison and placed that ram under him.

~71~ And Avraham slaughtered the ram on the altar, and brought it up as an offering under his son Isaac. And Abraham saw the blood of the ram on the altar and called and said, This is under my son and this will be counted today as my son's blood before God. And there was everything that Abraham did with that lamb on the altar, and he called and said, "This is under my son, and this will be considered today before God for my son." And Abraham finished all the work on the altar, and the work was pleasing before God and counted as Isaac, and God blessed Abraham and his seed that day. And the devil went to Sarah and looked like an old man, lowly and very humble, and Abraham still offered the burnt offering to God. And he said to her, Don't you know all the deeds that Abraham did for your son Isaac today? Because he took Isaac and built an altar and slaughtered him and sacrificed him on the altar, and Isaac cried out and cried before his father and no one looked at him and had no pity on him. And the devil spoke these things to Sarah several more times, and went before her. And Sarah heard all the words of the devil and thought that an old man was one of the human beings who was with her son and came and told her like these words, and Sarah lifted up her voice and cried and shouted a loud and bitter cry for her son and threw her soul to the ground and threw dirt on her head. And she said, My son Isaac, my son, who will let me die, I am under you this day. And she continued to weep and said, I feel sorry for you because you grew up and nurtured you, and my difference over you turned into mourning. Because my lust for you was for shouting and prayer until I gave birth to you for ninety years, and now you were for food and fire this day for a meal. But I myself console you with the word of God, my son, because you have done the commandments of your God, for who can transgress the words of our God, in whose hand is the soul of every living being. You are righteous, O Lord our God, for all your works are good and righteous, for I also rejoice in your word which you have commanded, but my eyes are filled with weeping and my heart rejoices. And Sarah will lay her head in the bosom of one of her families, after that she will stand still as a stone. And she got up after that and went away and asked and went all the way to Hebron and asked all the wayfarers whom she met on the way, and nothing was said to her as to what was done with her son.

~72~ And she came with her maidservants and servants to Kiryat Arba, which is Hebron, and asked about her son, and sat there, and sent her servants to ask for Anna, where Abraham and Isaac went. And they went to look for them in a house there and passed by and did not find them, and they looked all over the country and there was none. And behold, Satan came to Sarah in the form of a man and came and stood before her, and said to her, I have spoken a lie to you because Abraham did not slaughter his son Isaac and he did not die. And it came to pass when she heard this, that she was very happy for her son, and her soul went out of her joy, and she died and was gathered to her people. And Abraham finished his work and sat down with his son Isaac to his boys, and they got up and went together to Bara Sheva to their home. And they looked for Sarah, but he did not find her, and they asked about her, and said to them, "I have gone all the way to Hebron to ask for you. This is where you went, because such and such was betrayed to her." And Avraham went and went to Hebron and found her dead, and they all raised their voices and wept over her. And Isaac fell on his mother's face and wept for her, and said, "My mother, my mother, how have you left me, and you have gone here and there, and how you have left me." And Abraham and Isaac wept bitterly and all their servants wept with them for Sarah, and they mourned her in a great and heavy eulogy.
