10:1

ወኢሎፍሊ፡ በውእቱ፡ መዋዕል፡ ገብሩ፡ ቀትለ፡ ምስለ፡ እስራኤል፡ ወእስራኤልኒ፡ ጐዩ፡ እምቅድመ፡ ገጾሙ፡ ለኢሎፍሊ፡ ወወድቁ፡ ቅቱላን፡ እምእስራኤል፡ በደብረ፡ ጌላቡሄ።

非利士人與以色列人爭戰，以色列人在非利士人面前逃跑，在基利波山有被殺仆倒的。

Now the Philistines fought against Israel; and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain on Mount Gilboa.

10:2

ወሰደድዎሙ፡ ኢሎፍሊ፡ ለሳኦል፡ ወለደቂቁ፡ ወቀተልዎሙ፡ ኢሎፍሊ፡ ለዮናታን፡ ወለአሚናዳብ፡ ወለመልክሱዕ፡ ደቂቀ፡ ሳኦል።

非利士人緊追掃羅和他兒子們，就殺了掃羅的兒子約拿單、亞比拿達、麥基舒亞。

The Philistines followed hard after Saul and after his sons; and the Philistines killed Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua, the sons of Saul.

10:3

ወከብደ፡ ጥቀ፡ ቀትል፡ ላዕለ፡ ሳኦል፡ ወረከብዎ፡ ነዳፍያን፡ በነዲፈ፡ ወሐመ፡ ጥቀ፡ እምኃይለ፡ አቅስስቲሆሙ።

勢派甚大，掃羅被弓箭手追上，射傷甚重，

The battle went hard against Saul, and the archers overtook him; and he was distressed by reason of the archers.

10:4

ወአውሥአ፡ ሳኦል፡ ወይቤሎ፡ ለዘይፀውር፡ ንዋየ፡ ሐቅሉ፡ ምላሕ፡ ሰይፈክ፡ ወርግዘኒ፡ ባቲ፡ ወኢይምጽኡ፡ እሉ፡ ቆላፋን፡ ወኢይሣለቁ፡ ላዕሌየ፡ ወኢፈቀደ፡ ብእሲ፡ ዘይፀውር፡ ንዋየ፡ ሐቅሉ፡ ከመ፡ ይቅትሎ፡ እስመ፡ ይጌርም፡ ቀቲሎቶ፡ ወመልሐ፡ ሰይፎ፡ ሳኦል፡ ወአቀማ፡ ወወድቀ፡ ላዕሌሃ።

就吩咐拿他兵器的人說：「你拔出刀來，將我刺死，免得那些未受割禮的人來凌辱我。」但拿兵器的人甚懼怕，不肯刺他；

Then Saul said to his armor bearer, “Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me.” But his armor bearer would not, for he was terrified. Therefore Saul took his sword and fell on it.

10:5

ወርእዩ፡ ዝኩ፡ ብእሲ፡ ዘይፀውር፡ ንዋየ፡ ሐቅሉ፡ ከመ፡ ሞተ፡ ሳኦል፡ ወድቀ፡ ውእቱኒ፡ ዲበ፡ ሰይፉ።

掃羅就自己伏在刀上死了。拿兵器的人見掃羅已死，也伏在刀上死了。

When his armor bearer saw that Saul was dead, he likewise fell on his sword and died.

10:6

ወሞተ፡ ሳኦል፡ ወሠለስቱ፡ ደቂቁ፡ በይእቲ፡ ዕለት፡ ወኵሉ፡ ሰብኡ፡ ወደቂቁ፡ ወድቆ፡ አሜሃ።

這樣，掃羅和他三個兒子，並他的全家都一同死亡。

So Saul died with his three sons; and all his house died together.

10:7

ወርእዩ፡ ኵሉ፡ እደወ፡ እስራኤል፡ እለ፡ ሀለዉ፡ በቈላት፡ ከመ፡ ጐዩ፡ እስራኤል፡ ወከመ፡ ሞተ፡ ሳኦል፡ ወደቂቁኒ፡ ሞቱ፡ ኃደጉ፡ አህጉሪሆሙ፡ ወጐዩ፡ ወመጽኡ፡ ኢሎፍሊ፡ ወኃደሩ፡ ውስቴቶሙ።

住平原的以色列眾人見以色列軍兵逃跑，掃羅和他兒子都死了，也就棄城逃跑，非利士人便來住在其中。

When all the men of Israel who were in the valley saw that they fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, they abandoned their cities, and fled; and the Philistines came and lived in them.

10:8

ወኮነ፡ አመ፡ ሣኒታ፡ መጽኡ፡ ኢሎፍሊ፡ ከመ፡ ይስልቡ፡ ቅቱላነ፡ ወረከብዎሙ፡ ለሳኦል፡ ወለሠለስቱ፡ ደቂቁ፡ ውዱቃነ፡ ውስተ፡ ደብረ፡ ጌላቡሄ።

次日，非利士人來剝那被殺之人的衣服，看見掃羅和他兒子仆倒在基利波山，

On the next day, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, they found Saul and his sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.

10:9

ወሰለብዎሙ፡ ወለሳኦልኒ፡ መተርዎ፡ ርእሶ፡ ወነሥኡ፡ ምስለ፡ ንዋየ፡ ሐቅሉ፡ ወፈነዉ፡ በበሐውርቲሆሙ፡ ከመ፡ ይዜንዉ፡ ለአማልክቲሆሙ፡ ወለአሕዛቢሆሙ።

就剝了他的軍裝，割下他的首級，打發人到非利士地的四境報信與他們的偶像和眾民，

They stripped him and took his head and his armor, then sent into the land of the Philistines all around to carry the news to their idols and to the people.
