17:1
ወነግሠ፡ ኢዮሳፍጥ፡ ወልዱ፡ እምድኅሬሁ፡ ወጸንዐ፡ ኢዮሳፍጥ፡ በመንግሥቱ፡ ላዕለ፡ እስራኤል።
亞撒的兒子約沙法接續他作王，奮勇自強，防備以色列人，
Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his place, and strengthened himself against Israel.
17:2
ወአንበረ፡ ሠራዊት፡ ፀናዕት፡ ውስተ፡ ኵሉ፡ አህጉረ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወውስተ፡ ኵሉ፡ በሐውርተ፡ ኤፍሬም፡ ወእለ፡ ገብኡ፡ በአሣ፡ አቡሁ።
安置軍兵在猶大一切堅固城裏，又安置防兵在猶大地和他父亞撒所得以法蓮的城邑中。
He placed forces in all the fortified cities of Judah, and set garrisons in the land of Judah and in the cities of Ephraim, which Asa his father had taken.
17:3
ወሀሎ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ምስሌሁ፡ ለኢዮሳፍጥ፡ እስመ፡ ሖረ፡ በፍናወ፡ አበዊሁ፡ ቀደምት።
耶和華與約沙法同在；因為他行他祖大衛初行的道，不尋求巴力，
Yahweh was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and didn’t seek the Baals,
17:4
ወኢኃሠሠ፡ አማልክተ፡ ነኪር፡ ዘእንበለ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አምላከ፡ አበዊሁ፡ ወበትእዛዛተ፡ አቡሁ፡ ሖረ፡ ወአኮ፡ በግብረ፡ እስራኤል።
只尋求他父親的上帝，遵行他的誡命，不效法以色列人的行為。
but sought the God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not in the ways of Israel.
17:5
ወአርትዐ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወአጽንዐ፡ መንግሥቶ፡ በእደዊሁ፡ ወአምጽኡ፡ ሎቱ፡ ኵሉ፡ ሕዝበ፡ ይሁዳ፡ አምኀ፡ ለኢዮሳፍጥ፡ ንጉሥ፡ ወኮነ፡ ብዙኀ፡ መዋዕል፡ ወኮነ፡ ሎቱ፡ ዓቢይ፡ ክብር፡ ወብዕል።
所以耶和華堅定他的國，猶大眾人給他進貢；約沙法大有尊榮資財。
Therefore Yahweh established the kingdom in his hand. All Judah brought tribute to Jehoshaphat, and he had riches and honor in abundance.
17:6
ወረትዐ፡ ልቡ፡ ውስተ፡ ፍናወ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወዓዲ፡ ደምሰሶሙ፡ ለአውግር፡ ወለአእዋም፡ እምኵሉ፡ ምድረ፡ ይሁዳ።
他高興遵行耶和華的道，並且從猶大除掉一切邱壇和木偶。
His heart was lifted up in the ways of Yahweh. Furthermore, he took away the high places and the Asherah poles out of Judah.
17:7
ወበሣልስ፡ ዓመተ፡ መንግሥቱ፡ ፈነወ፡ መሳፍንተ፡ ወውሉደ፡ ጸናዕት፡ አብድያስሃ፡ ወዘካርያስሃ፡ ወናታሄልሃ፡ ወሚካያስሃ፡ ከመ፡ ይምሀሩ፡ በኵሉ፡ ምድረ፡ ይሁዳ።
他作王第三年，就差遣臣子便‧亥伊勒、俄巴底、撒迦利雅、拿坦業、米該亞往猶大各城去教訓百姓。
Also in the third year of his reign he sent his princes, even Ben Hail, Obadiah, Zechariah, Nethanel, and Micaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah;
17:8
ወምስሌሆሙኒ፡ ፈነወ፡ ሌዋውያነ፡ ስሙኢያስ፡ ወናትያስ፡ ወዝብድያስ፡ ወኢያስሄል፡ ወሲማራሞት፡ ወኢዮናታን፡ ወአዶንያስ፡ ወጦብያ፡ ወጦባዶንያስ፡ ሌዋውያን፡ ወምስሌሆሙ፡ ኤልሳማ፡ ወኢዮራም፡ ካህናት።
同着他們有利未人示瑪雅、尼探雅、西巴第雅、亞撒黑、示米拉末、約拿單、亞多尼雅、多比雅、駝‧巴多尼雅，又有祭司以利沙瑪、約蘭同着他們。
and with them Levites, even Shemaiah, Nethaniah, Zebadiah, Asahel, Shemiramoth, Jehonathan, Adonijah, Tobijah, and Tobadonijah, the Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, the priests.
17:9
ወመሀሩ፡ በአህጉረ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወምስሌሆሙኒ፡ መጽሐፈ፡ ሕጉ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወአንሶሰዉ፡ ውስተ፡ ኵሉ፡ አህጉረ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወመሀርዎሙ፡ ለሕዝብ።
他們帶着耶和華的律法書，走遍猶大各城教訓百姓。
They taught in Judah, having the book of Yahweh’s law with them. They went about throughout all the cities of Judah and taught among the people.
17:10
ወኮነ፡ ፍርሃተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ላዕለ፡ ሕዝብ፡ ወላዕለ፡ ነገሥተ፡ ምድር፡ እለ፡ አጽናፈ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወኢተቃትልዎ፡ ለኢዮሳፍጥ።
耶和華使猶大四圍的列國都甚恐懼，不敢與約沙法爭戰。
The fear of Yahweh fell on all the kingdoms of the lands that were around Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat.
17:11
ወእምኢሎፍሊ፡ ያመጽኡ፡ ሎቱ፡ ለኢዮሳፍጥ፡ ንጉሥ፡ አምኀ፡ ወርቀ፡ ወብሩረ፡ ወገብረ፡ ያመጽኡ፡ ሎቱ፡ ወሰብአ፡ ዓረብኒ፡ ያመጽኡ፡ ሎቱ፡ አባግዐ፡ አትቡዐ፡ ሰባዓ፡ ምእተ፡ ወሰብዓተ፡ ምእተ፡ ወሐራጊተ፡ ጠሊ፡ ሰብዓ፡ ምእተ፡ ወሰብዓተ፡ ምእተ።
有些非利士人與約沙法送禮物，納貢銀。阿拉伯人也送他公綿羊七千七百隻，公山羊七千七百隻。
Some of the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat presents and silver for tribute. The Arabians also brought him flocks: seven thousand seven hundred rams and seven thousand seven hundred male goats.
17:12
ወኢዮሳፍጥ፡ እንዘ፡ ይጸንዕ፡ የሐውር፡ ወኀበ፡ ኀበ፡ ይከብር፡ ጥቀ፡ ወሐነፀ፡ አብያተ፡ ውስተ፡ በሐውርተ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወአህጉረ፡ ጸናዕት።
約沙法日漸強大，在猶大建造營寨和積貨城。
Jehoshaphat grew great exceedingly; and he built fortresses and store cities in Judah.
17:13
ወገብረ፡ ብዙኀ፡ ተግባረ፡ ሎቱ፡ በይሁዳ፡ ወእደው፡ ጸናዕት፡ መስተቃትላን፡ ወጽኑዓን፡ ሀለዉ፡ ምስሌሁ፡ በኢየሩሳሌም።
他在猶大城邑中有許多工程，又在耶路撒冷有戰士，就是大能的勇士。
He had many works in the cities of Judah; and men of war, mighty men of valor, in Jerusalem.
17:14
ወዝንቱ፡ ውእቱ፡ ኍልቆሙ፡ በበቤተ፡ አበዊሆሙ፡ ለይሁዳ፡ ርኡሳነ፡ እልፍ፡ አድናስ፡ መልአክ፡ ወምስሌሁ፡ እደው፡ ጸኑዓን፡ በኃይል፡ ሠላሳ፡ እልፍ።
他們的數目，按着宗族，記在下面：猶大族的千夫長押拿為首率領大能的勇士－三十萬；
This was the numbering of them according to their fathers’ houses: From Judah, the captains of thousands: Adnah the captain, and with him three hundred thousand mighty men of valor;
17:15
ወምስሌሆሙ፡ ኢዮአናን፡ መስፍን፡ ወምስሌሁኒ፡ ዕሥራ፡ እልፍ፡ ወሰማንያ፡ ምእት፡ እደው።
其次是，千夫長約哈難率領大能的勇士－二十八萬；
and next to him Jehohanan the captain, and with him two hundred eighty thousand;
17:16
ወምስሌሁኒ፡ ማስያስ፡ ወልደ፡ ዝክሪ፡ ዘይፀመዶ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወምስሌሁ፡ እደው፡ ጽናዕት፡ ዕሥራ፡ እልፍ።
其次是，細基利的兒子亞瑪斯雅（他為耶和華犧牲自己）率領大能的勇士－二十萬。
and next to him Amasiah the son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself to Yahweh, and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of valor.
17:17
ወእምነገደ፡ ብንያም፡ ብእሲ፡ ጽኑዕ፡ ዘስሙ፡ ኤልያዳ፡ ወምስሌሁ፡ አደው፡ ነዳፍያን፡ ወወፃፍያን፡ ዕሥራ፡ እልፍ።
便雅憫族，是大能的勇士以利雅大率領拿弓箭和盾牌的－二十萬；
From Benjamin: Eliada, a mighty man of valor, and with him two hundred thousand armed with bow and shield;
17:18
ወምስሌሁኒ፡ ዮዛብድ፡ ወምስሌሁ፡ ዓሠርቱ፡ እልፍ፡ ወሰማንያ፡ ምእት፡ አደው፡ ጽኑዓን፡ ለተቃትሎ።
其次是，約薩拔率領預備打仗的－十八萬。
and next to him Jehozabad, and with him one hundred eighty thousand ready and prepared for war.
17:19
ወእሉ፡ ኵሎሙ፡ ይትለአክዎ፡ ለንጉሥ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ዘአንበረ፡ ኢዮሳፍጥ፡ ውስተ፡ አህጉር፡ ጸናዕት፡ ወውስተ፡ ኵሉ፡ በሐውርተ፡ ይሁዳ።
這都是伺候王的，還有王在猶大全地堅固城所安置的不在其內。
These were those who waited on the king, in addition to those whom the king put in the fortified cities throughout all Judah.
