1:1

ወፀንዐ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ወልደ፡ ዳዊት፡ በመንግሥቱ፡ ወእግዚአብሄር፡ አምላኩ፡ ምስሌሁ፡ ወአልዓሎ፡ ወአክበሮ፡ ፈድፋደ።

大衛的兒子所羅門國位堅固；耶和華－他的上帝與他同在，使他甚為尊大。

Solomon the son of David was firmly established in his kingdom, and Yahweh his God was with him, and made him exceedingly great.

1:2

ወይቤ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ለኵሉ፡ እስራኤል፡ ለርኡሳነ፡ ዓሠርቱ፡ ምእት፡ ወለርኡሳነ፡ ምእት፡ ወለመኳንንት፡ ወለኵሎሙ፡ መላእክት፡ በቅድመ፡ ኵሉ፡ እስራኤል፡ ለመላእክተ፡ አበው፡ ንሑር፡ ውስተ፡ ገባኦን።

所羅門吩咐以色列眾人，就是千夫長、百夫長、審判官、首領與族長都來。

Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, to the judges, and to every prince in all Israel, the heads of the fathers’ households.

1:3

ወሖረ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ወኵሉ፡ ማኅበረ፡ እስራኤል፡ ምስሌሁ፡ ውስተ፡ መካን፡ ልዑል፡ ዘውስተ፡ ገባኦን፡ ኀበ፡ ሀለወት፡ ህየ፡ ደብተራ፡ ቤተ፡ ስምዕ፡ ዘእግዚአብሄር፡ እንተ፡ ገብረ፡ ሙሴ፡ ቊልዔሁ፡ ለእግዚአብሄር፡ በገዳም።

所羅門和會眾都往基遍的邱壇去，因那裏有上帝的會幕，就是耶和華僕人摩西在曠野所製造的。

Then Solomon, and all the assembly with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for God’s Tent of Meeting was there, which Yahweh’s servant Moses had made in the wilderness.

1:4

አላ፡ ታቦተ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ አዕረገ፡ ዳዊት፡ እምሀገረ፡ ቀርያታርም፡ እስመ፡ አስተዳለወ፡ ላቲ፡ ዳዊት፡ ቤተ፡ በኢየሩሳሌም።

只是上帝的約櫃，大衛已經從基列‧耶琳搬到他所預備的地方，因他曾在耶路撒冷為約櫃支搭了帳幕，

But David had brought God’s ark up from Kiriath Jearim to the place that David had prepared for it; for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

1:5

ወቤተ፡ ምሥዋዕ፡ እንተ፡ ብርት፡ ዘገብረ፡ ባስልኤል፡ ወልደ፡ ኡርያ፡ ወልዱ፡ ለሁር፡ ህየ፡ ሀሎ፡ ቅድመ፡ ደብተራ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ ወኃሠሣ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ወኵሉ፡ ማኅበረ፡ እስራኤል፡ ለታቦተ፡ እግዚአብሄር።

並且戶珥的孫子、烏利的兒子比撒列所造的銅壇也在基遍耶和華的會幕前。所羅門和會眾都就近壇前。

Moreover the bronze altar that Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made was there before Yahweh’s tabernacle; and Solomon and the assembly were seeking counsel there.

1:6

ወአዕረጋ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ህየ፡ ውስተ፡ ቤተ፡ ምሥዋዕ፡ ዘብርት፡ በቅድመ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ ዘሀሎ፡ ውስተ፡ ምሥዋዕ፡ ወአዕረገ፡ ላዕሌሁ፡ ኵርባናተ፡ ዓሠርተ፡ ምእተ።

所羅門上到耶和華面前會幕的銅壇那裏，獻一千犧牲為燔祭。

Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before Yahweh, which was at the Tent of Meeting, and offered one thousand burnt offerings on it.

1:7

ወበይእቲ፡ ሌሊት፡ አስተርአዮ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ ለሰሎሞን፡ ወይቤሎ፡ ሰአል፡ እምኔየ፡ ዘእሁበከ።

當夜，上帝向所羅門顯現，對他說：「你願我賜你甚麼，你可以求。」

That night, God appeared to Solomon and said to him, “Ask for what you want me to give you.”

1:8

ወይቤሎ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ለእግዚአብሄር፡ አንተ፡ እግዚኦ፡ ገበርከ፡ ምስለ፡ ዳዊት፡ አቡየ፡ ዐቢየ፡ ምሕረተ፡ ወአንገሥከኒ፡ እምድኅሬሁ።

所羅門對上帝說：「你曾向我父大衛大施慈愛，使我接續他作王。

Solomon said to God, “You have shown great loving kindness to David my father, and have made me king in his place.

1:9

ወይእዜኒ፡ እግዚኦ፡ አምላኪየ፡ ይኩን፡ እሙነ፡ ነገረ፡ ዚአከ፡ ላዕለ፡ ዳዊት፡ አቡየ፡ እስመ፡ አንተ፡ አንገሥከኒ፡ ላዕለ፡ ሕዝብ፡ ብዙኅ፡ ዘከመ፡ ኆፃ፡ ባሕር።

耶和華上帝啊，現在求你成就向我父大衛所應許的話；因你立我作這民的王，他們如同地上塵沙那樣多。

Now, Yahweh God, let your promise to David my father be established; for you have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.
