14:1
ኢይደንግፅክሙ ልብክሙ እመኑ በእግዚአብሔር ወእመኑ ብየ ።
“Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me.
「你們心裏不要憂愁；你們信上帝，也當信我。
14:2
እስመ ውስተ ቤተ አቡየ ብዙኅ ማኅደር ወምዕራፍ ቦቱ ፥ ወናሁ እብለክሙ ከመ አነ አሐውር ወአስተዳሉ ለክሙ መካነ ። ወእመአኮሰ እምኢይቤለክሙ ከመ አሐውር ወአስተዳሉ ለክሙ ማኅደረ ።
In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you.
在我父的家裏有許多住處；若是沒有，我就早已告訴你們了。我去原是為你們預備地方去。
14:3
ወእምከመ ሖርኩ ወአስተዳሎኩ ለክሙ መካነ ወምዕራፈ ወማኅደረ እመጽእ ካዕበ ወእነሥአክሙ ኀቤየ ከመ ተሀልዉ አንትሙኒ ኀበ ሀሎኩ አነ ።
If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.
我若去為你們預備了地方，就必再來接你們到我那裏去，我在哪裏，叫你們也在那裏。
14:4
ወለሊክሙ ኢተአምሩ ኀበ አሐውር ወፍኖቶሰ ተአምሩ ።
You know where I go, and you know the way.”
我往哪裏去，你們知道；那條路，你們也知道 。」
14:5
ወይቤሎ ቶማስ እግዚኦ ዘኢነአምር ኀበ ተሐውር በእፎ እንከ ነአምር ፍኖቶ ።
Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going. How can we know the way?”
多馬對他說：「主啊，我們不知道你往哪裏去，怎麼知道那條路呢？」
14:6
ወይቤሎ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ አነ ውእቱ ፍኖተ ጽድቅ ወሕይወት ወአልቦ ዘይመጽእ ኀበ አብ ዘእንበለ እንተ ኀቤየ ።
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
耶穌說：「我就是道路、真理、生命；若不藉着我，沒有人能到父那裏去。
14:7
እምከመ ሊተ አእመርክሙኒ እምአእመርክምዎ ለአቡየኒ ወይእዜሰ አእመርክምዎሂ ወርኢክምዎሂ ።
If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him and have seen him.”
你們若認識我，也就認識我的父。從今以後，你們認識他，並且已經看見他。」
14:8
ወይቤሎ ፊልጶስ እግዚኦ አርእየነሁ ለአብ ወየአክለነ ።
Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.”
腓力對他說：「求主將父顯給我們看，我們就知足了。」
14:9
ወይቤሎ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ መጠነዝ መዋዕል ሀሎኩ ምስሌክሙ ኢያእመርከኒኑ ፊልጶስ ዘርእየ ኪያየ ርእዮ ለአብ እፎ እንከ ትብል አርእየነሁ ለአብ ።
Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
耶穌對他說：「腓力，我與你們同在這樣長久，你還不認識我嗎？人看見了我，就是看見了父；你怎麼說『將父顯給我們看』呢？
14:10
ኢተአምንሁ ከመ አነ በአብ ወአብ ብየ ወዝኒ ቃል ዘአነ ነገርኩክሙ አኮ እምኀቤየ ዘነበብኩ አላ አብ ዘሀሎ ብየ ውእቱ ይገብሮ ለዝንቱ ግብር ።
Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works.
我在父裏面，父在我裏面，你不信嗎？我對你們所說的話，不是憑着自己說的，乃是住在我裏面的父做他自己的事。
14:11
እመኑ ከመ አነ በአብ ወአብ ብየ ወእመ አኮሰ በእንተ ግብርየ እመኑኒ ።
Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
你們當信我，我在父裏面，父在我裏面；即或不信，也當因我所做的事信我。
14:12
አማን አማን እብለክሙ ዘየአምን ብየ ግብረ ዘአነ እገብር ውእቱኒ ይገብር ወዘየዐቢ እምኔሁ ይገብር እስመ አነ አሐውር ኀበ አብ ።
Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.
我實實在在地告訴你們，我所做的事，信我的人也要做，並且要做比這更大的事，因為我往父那裏去。
14:13
ወኵሎ ዘሰአልክሙ በስምየ እገብር ለክሙ ከመ ይሰባሕ አብ በወልድ ።
Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
你們奉我的名無論求甚麼，我必成就，叫父因兒子得榮耀。
14:14
ወእመቦ ዘሰአልክሙ በስምየ እገብር ለክሙ ኪያሁ ።
If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
你們若奉我的名求甚麼，我必成就。」
14:15
ወእመሰ ታፈቅሩኒ ዕቀቡ ትእዛዝየ ።
If you love me, keep my commandments.
「你們若愛我，就必遵守我的命令。
14:16
ወአነ እስእሎ ለአብ ይፈኑ ለክሙ ጰራቅሊጦስሃ ካልአ ዘይሄሉ ምስሌክሙ ለዓለም ።
I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever:
我要求父，父就另外賜給你們一位保惠師 ，叫他永遠與你們同在，
14:17
መንፈሰ ጽድቅ ዘኢይክል ዓለም ነሢኦቶ እስመ ኢይሬእዮ ወኢየአምሮ ወአንትሙሰ ተአምርዎ እስመ ኀቤክሙ ይነብር ወውስቴትክሙ ይሄሉ ።
the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive, for it doesn’t see him and doesn’t know him. You know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
就是真理的聖靈，乃世人不能接受的；因為不見他，也不認識他。你們卻認識他，因他常與你們同在，也要在你們裏面。
14:18
ወኢየኀድገክሙ ዕጓለ ማውታ ትኩኑ እስመ አነ እመጽእ ኀቤክሙ ።
I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.
我不撇下你們為孤兒，我必到你們這裏來。
14:19
ዓዲ ኅዳጠ ኢይሬእየኒ እንከ ዓለም ወአንትሙሰ ትሬእዩኒ እስመ አነ ሕያው ወአንትሙሂ ተሐይዉ ።
Yet a little while, and the world will see me no more; but you will see me. Because I live, you will live also.
還有不多的時候，世人不再看見我，你們卻看見我；因為我活着，你們也要活着。
14:20
ይእተ አሚረ ተአምሩ ከመ አነ በአብ ወአብ ብየ ወአንትሙሂ ብየ ወአነሂ ብክሙ ።
In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
到那日，你們就知道我在父裏面，你們在我裏面，我也在你們裏面。
14:21
ዘቦቱ ትእዛዝየ ወየዐቅቦ ውእቱ ዘያፈቅረኒ ወለዘአፍቀረኒ ያፈቅሮ አቡየ ወአነሂ አፈቅሮ ወአሬእዮ ርእስየ ።
One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.”
有了我的命令又遵守的，這人就是愛我的；愛我的必蒙我父愛他，我也要愛他，並且要向他顯現。」
14:22
ወይቤሎ ይሁዳ ዘአኮ አስቆሮታዊ እግዚኦ ምንትኑ ዘትቤ ከመ ለነ ዳዕሙ ሀለወከ ታርኢ ርእሰከ ወአኮ ለዓለም ።
Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, what has happened that you are about to reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?”
猶大（不是加略人猶大）問耶穌說：「主啊，為甚麼要向我們顯現，不向世人顯現呢？」
14:23
ወአውሥአ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወይቤሎ ዘያፈቅረኒ ይዕቀብ ቃልየ ወያፈቅሮ አቡየ ወእመቦ ዘዐቀበ ቃልየ አነ ወአቡየ ንመጽእ ኀቤሁ ወንገብር ምዕራፈ ውስቴቱ ።
Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
耶穌回答說：「人若愛我，就必遵守我的道；我父也必愛他，並且我們要到他那裏去，與他同住。
14:24
ወዘሰ ኢያፈቅረኒ ኢየዐቅብ ቃልየ ወዝኒ ቃል ዘትሰምዑ ኢኮነ ቃለ ዚኣየ አላ ቃሉ ውእቱ ለአብ ዘፈነወኒ ።
He who doesn’t love me doesn’t keep my words. The word which you hear isn’t mine, but the Father’s who sent me.
不愛我的人就不遵守我的道。你們所聽見的道不是我的，乃是差我來之父的道。
14:25
ወዘንተ ነገርኩክሙ እንዘ ሀሎኩ ምስሌክሙ ።
“I have said these things to you while still living with you.
「我還與你們同住的時候，已將這些話對你們說了。
14:26
ወባሕቱ ጰራቅሊጦስ መንፈሰ ጽድቅ ዘይፌኑ አብ በስምየ ውእቱ ይሜህረክሙ ኵሎ ወያዜክረክሙ ኵሎ ዘነገርኩክሙ አነ ።
But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you.
但保惠師，就是父因我的名所要差來的聖靈，他要將一切的事指教你們，並且要叫你們想起我對你們所說的一切話。
14:27
ሰላምየ አኀድግ ለክሙ ወሰላመ አቡየ እሁበክሙ አኮ በከመ ይሁብ ዓለም ዘእሁበክሙ አነ ኢይደንግፅክሙ ልብክሙ ወኢትፍርሁ ።
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
我留下平安給你們；我將我的平安賜給你們。我所賜的，不像世人所賜的。你們心裏不要憂愁，也不要膽怯。
14:28
ሰማዕክሙ ዘእቤለክሙ ከመ አነ አሐውር ወእሠወጥ ኀቤክሙ ሶበሰ ታፈቅሩኒ እምተፈሣሕክሙ በሐዊሮትየ ኀበ አብ እስመ ውእቱ አብ የዐብየኒ ።
You heard how I told you, ‘I am going away, and I will come back to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced because I said ‘I am going to my Father;’ for the Father is greater than I.
你們聽見我對你們說了，我去還要到你們這裏來。你們若愛我，因我到父那裏去，就必喜樂，因為父是比我大的。
14:29
ወይእዜ ነገርኩክሙ ዘእንበለ ይኩን ከመ አመ ኮነ ትእመኑ ።
Now I have told you before it happens so that when it happens, you may believe.
現在事情還沒有成就，我預先告訴你們，叫你們到事情成就的時候就可以信。
14:30
ወኢይትናገር እንከ ብዙኀ ምስሌክሙ እስመ ይመጽእ መልአኩ ለዝንቱ ዓለም ወኢይረክብ በላዕሌየ ወኢምንተኒ ።
I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world comes, and he has nothing in me.
以後我不再和你們多說話，因為這世界的王將到。他在我裏面是毫無所有；
14:31
ወባሕቱ ከመ ያእምር ዓለም ከመ አነ አፈቅሮ ለአብ ወበከመ ወሀበኒ አብ ትእዛዞ ከማሁ እገብር ተንሥኡ ንሑር እምዝየ ።
But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father commanded me, even so I do. Arise, let’s go from here.
但要叫世人知道我愛父，並且父怎樣吩咐我，我就怎樣行。起來，我們走吧！」
