Sapientia aedificavit sibi domum : excidit columnas septem .
Wisdom has built her house. She has carved out her seven pillars.
智慧建造房屋， 鑿成七根柱子，
9:2▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Immolavit victimas suas , miscuit vinum , et proposuit mensam suam .
She has prepared her meat. She has mixed her wine. She has also set her table.
宰殺牲畜， 調和旨酒， 設擺筵席；

Misit ancillas suas ut vocarent ad arcem et ad moenia civitatis .
She has sent out her maidens. She cries from the highest places of the city:
打發使女出去， 自己在城中至高處呼叫，
9:4▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Si quis est parvulus , veniat ad me . Et insipientibus locuta est :
“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,
說：誰是愚蒙人，可以轉到這裏來！ 又對那無知的人說：

Venite , comedite panem meum , et bibite vinum quod miscui vobis .
“Come, eat some of my bread, Drink some of the wine which I have mixed!
你們來，吃我的餅， 喝我調和的酒。
9:6▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Relinquite infantiam , et vivite , et ambulate per vias prudentiae .
Leave your simple ways, and live. Walk in the way of understanding.”
你們愚蒙人，要捨棄愚蒙， 就得存活，並要走光明的道。

Qui erudit derisorem , ipse injuriam sibi facit , et qui arguit impium , sibi maculam generat .
One who corrects a mocker invites insult. One who reproves a wicked man invites abuse.
指斥褻慢人的，必受辱罵； 責備惡人的，必被玷污。

Noli arguere derisorem , ne oderit te : argue sapientem , et diliget te .
Don’t reprove a scoffer, lest he hate you. Reprove a wise person, and he will love you.
不要責備褻慢人，恐怕他恨你； 要責備智慧人，他必愛你。

Da sapienti occasionem , et addetur ei sapientia ; doce justum , et festinabit accipere .
Instruct a wise person, and he will be still wiser. Teach a righteous person, and he will increase in learning.
教導智慧人，他就越發有智慧； 指示義人，他就增長學問。

Principium sapientiae timor Domini , et scientia sanctorum prudentia .
The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
敬畏耶和華是智慧的開端； 認識至聖者便是聰明。

Per me enim multiplicabuntur dies tui , et addentur tibi anni vitae .
For by me your days will be multiplied. The years of your life will be increased.
你藉着我，日子必增多， 年歲也必加添。

Si sapiens fueris , tibimetipsi eris ; si autem illusor , solus portabis malum .
If you are wise, you are wise for yourself. If you mock, you alone will bear it.
你若有智慧，是與自己有益； 你若褻慢，就必獨自擔當。

Mulier stulta et clamosa , plenaque illecebris , et nihil omnino sciens ,
The foolish woman is loud, undisciplined, and knows nothing.
愚昧的婦人喧嚷； 她是愚蒙，一無所知。

sedit in foribus domus suae , super sellam in excelso urbis loco ,
She sits at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,
她坐在自己的家門口， 坐在城中高處的座位上，

ut vocaret transeuntes per viam , et pergentes itinere suo :
to call to those who pass by, who go straight on their ways,
呼叫過路的， 就是直行其道的人，

Qui est parvulus declinet ad me . Et vecordi locuta est :
“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here.” As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,
說：誰是愚蒙人，可以轉到這裏來！ 又對那無知的人說：

Aquae furtivae dulciores sunt , et panis absconditus suavior .
“Stolen water is sweet. Food eaten in secret is pleasant.”
偷來的水是甜的， 暗吃的餅是好的。
9:18▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Et ignoravit quod ibi sint gigantes , et in profundis inferni convivae ejus .
But he doesn’t know that the departed spirits are there, that her guests are in the depths of Sheol.
人卻不知有陰魂在她那裏； 她的客在陰間的深處。
