5:1
ወኀደገ፡ ዕጐሊሁ፡ ውሉደ፡ ንዑሳነ፡ ወልህቁ፡ በከመ፡ ሠርዖሙ፡ አቡሆሙ፡ ወዓቀቡ፡ ሥርዓተ፡ ቤቶሙ፡ ወኵሎ፡ ዘዚአሆሙ፡ የዓቅዑ፡ ወኢያግዕሩ፡ ነደየ፡ ወእጓለ፡ ማውታ፡ ወዕቤረ።
他撇下他幼小的兒女，就是他的後裔；他們照著父親所教導的長大成人，又持守他們家中的規矩，管理一切屬他們的，並不欺壓貧窮人、孤兒和寡婦。
And he left behind his little children, his offspring; and they grew up according as their father had instructed them, and they kept the order of their house, and they ruled over all that was theirs, and they did not oppress the poor and the orphan and the widow.
5:2
ወይፈርህዎ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወይመጸውቱ፡ ንዋዮሙ፡ ለነዳያን፡ ወይትመሐፀኑ፡ በኵሉ፡ ዘአማኅፀኖሙ፡ አቡሆሙ፡ ወይናዝዙ፡ ዕቤረ፡ ወእጓለ፡ ማውታ፡ በተፅናሶሙ፡ ወይከውንዎሙ፡ አበ፡ ወእመ፡ ወያነግፍዎሙ፡ እምእደ፡ ገፋዕያኒሆሙ፡ ወይናዝዝዎሙ፡ በኵሉ፡ ዘረከቦሙ፡ ሁከት፡ ወኀዘን።
他們敬畏主，又將自己的財物施捨給窮乏人，並在他們父親所託付的一切事上施憐憫；他們在寡婦和孤兒患難的時候安慰他們，作他們的父母，救他們脫離欺壓他們之人的手，又在凡臨到他們的擾亂和憂愁中安慰他們。
And they feared the Lord, and they gave their wealth in alms to the needy, and they showed compassion in all that their father had committed to their charge; and they comforted the widow and the orphan in their distress, and they became to them a father and a mother, and they delivered them from the hand of their oppressors, and they comforted them in all the trouble and sorrow that befell them.
5:3
ወነበሩ፡ እንዘ፡ ከመዝ፡ ይግብሩ
他們就這樣繼續行事。
And they continued doing thus.
5:4
ወእምድኅሬሁ፡ መጽአ፡ ጺሩጻይዳን፡ ንጉሥ፡ ከለዳውያን፡ ወአጥፍአ፡ ኵሎ፡ ሀገሮሙ፡ ወፄወውዎሙ፡ ለደቂቀ፡ መቃቢስ፡ ወአጥፍአ፡ ኵሉ፡ ብሔሮሙ።
在他之後，迦勒底人的王綽魯察伊但前來，毀滅了他們一切的城邑，又把梅加比斯的兒女擄去，並毀滅了他們的全地。
And after him there came Tserutsaydan, king of the Chaldeans, and he destroyed all their cities and led away captive the children of Meqabis, and he laid waste their whole land.
5:5
ወማኅረከ፡ ኵሉ፡ ንዋዮሙ፡ ወኪያሆሙኒ፡ አኃዝዎሙ፡ ወወሰድዎሙ፡ ውስተ፡ ብሔሮሙ፡ መምላክያነ፡ ጣዖት፡ እለ፡ ኢየሐውሩ፡ በትእዛዙ፡ ወበኵነኔሁ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ አላ፡ ውስተ፡ ኵሉ፡ እኩይ፡ ወዝሙት፡ ወርኩስ፡ ወስስዕት፡ ወጽርፈት፡ ወኢተዘክሮ፡ አምላኮሙ።
他擄掠了他們一切的財物，連他們自己也被擒去，被帶到拜偶像之人的地，就是那些不行在主誡命和審斷中，反倒行在一切邪惡、淫亂、污穢、貪婪、褻瀆中，又不記念他們神的人那裡。
And he plundered all their wealth, and them too he seized and carried away into their own land—the worshippers of idols, who walked not in the commandment and judgment of the Lord, but in all evil and harlotry and uncleanness and covetousness and blasphemy, and who did not remember their God.
5:6
ወኢይበልዑ፡ ኵሎ፡ ማውታ፡ ወደመ፡ ወብልዓ፡ አርዌ፡ ወብትከ፡ ወኵሎ፡ ዘኢይሠምር፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወአልቦ፡ ሕግ፡ እምኵሉ፡ ትእዛዛተ፡ ጽድቅ፡ ዘጽሑፍ፡ ውስተ፡ ኦሪት።
他們喫各樣自死的物、血、被野獸撕裂的肉和勒死的物，並一切主所不喜悅的；他們在妥拉所寫公義誡命中，毫無律法可循。
And they ate all manner of carrion and blood and the flesh torn by beasts and what was strangled, and everything in which the Lord takes no delight; and they had no law from among all the commandments of righteousness that are written in the Torah.
5:7
ወኢያእምርዎ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ከመ፡ ውእቱ፡ ፈጣሪሆሙ፡ ወመድኃኒሆሙ፡ ዘአውጽ፡ ኦሙ፡ እምከርሠ፡ እሞሙ፡ ወሴሰዮሙ፡ በዘይደሉ።
他們不認主，不知祂是創造他們、拯救他們的主，就是那把他們從母腹中帶出來、又用合宜之物養育他們的。
And they did not acknowledge the Lord, that He was their Creator and their Savior, who brought them forth from their mother's womb and fed them with what was fitting.
5:8
ወአልቦሙ፡ ሕግ፡ በውስተ፡ ፍትሕ፡ እለ፡ የሐውሩ፡ ውስተ፡ ፁግ፡ ወትዕግልት፡ ወዝሙት፡ ወርኩስ፡ እንዘ፡ ያወስቡ፡ ብእሲተእ፡ አቡሆሙ፡ ወእኅተ፡ እሞሙ። ወይገብሩ፡ ክውሎ፡ እኩየ፡ ወያወስቡ፡ እኅቶሙ፡ ወአዝማዲሆሙ፡ ወአልቦሙ፡ ሕግ።
他們在公正上毫無律法—那些行在污穢、欺壓、淫亂和不潔中的人，娶他們父親的妻子和母親的姊妹為妻，又行各樣的惡事，娶自己的姊妹和親屬為妻；他們毫無律法。
And they had no law in justice—those who walked in defilement and oppression and harlotry and uncleanness, taking to wife their father's wife and their mother's sister, and doing every evil thing, and taking to wife their own sister and their kindred; and they had no law.
5:9
ወኵሉ፡ ፍኖቶሙ፡ ዳኅፅ፡ ወጽልመት፡ ወርኩስ፡ ወዝሙት።
他們一切的道路都是污穢、黑暗、不潔和淫亂。
And all their way was defilement and darkness and uncleanness and harlotry.
5:10
ወእሙንቱሰ፡ ደቂቀ፡ መቃቢስ፡ ይትዓቀቡ፡ በኵሉ፡ ዘዚአሆሙ፡ ትኅርምት፡ ወኢይበልዑ፡ ማውታ፡ ወብትከ፡ ወኵሎ፡ ርኵሶሙ፡ ወኃጢአቶሙ፡ ለደቂቀ፡ ከለዳውያን፡ እስመ፡ እኩይ፡ ወብዙኅ፡ ምግባሪሆሙ፡ ዘኢትጽሕፈ፡ ውስተ፡ ዝንቱ፡ መጽሐፍ፡ ዘይገብሩ፡ ደቂቀ፡ አረባማያን፡ ኃጥአን፡ ወዓላውያን፡ መናፍቃን፡ ወጽልሕዋን፡ ወምሉዓን፡ ጺዕ፡ ወርኵስ፡ ወትዕግልት።
惟有這些梅加比斯的兒女，在一切屬他們禁戒之事上謹守自己，不喫自死之物和勒死之物，也不沾染迦勒底人兒女的一切污穢和罪惡；因為那些邪惡、不法、不信、污穢、滿了污穢、不潔和欺壓的亞拉巴人兒女所行的，是邪惡且繁多，無法寫在這書上。
But these, the children of Meqabis, kept themselves in all that pertained to their abstinence, and they did not eat carrion or what was strangled, nor any of the uncleanness and sin of the children of the Chaldeans; for evil and many were the deeds—which cannot be written in this book—that the wicked and lawless and faithless children of the Arabaeans did, defiled and full of pollution and uncleanness and oppression.
5:11
ወአልቦ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ፡ ክሉ፡ ዘይሠምር፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ፈጣሪሆሙ።
在他們身上，沒有一樣是創造他們的主所喜悅的善事。
And there was upon them no good thing in which the Lord their Creator might take delight.
5:12
ወካዕበ፡ ያመልኩ፡ ጣዖተ፡ ዘስሙ፡ ብኤል፡ ፌጎር፡ ወያመልክዎ፡ ወይትአመንዎ፡ ከመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ፈጣሪሆሙ፡ እስመ፡ ጽሙም፡ ወበሐም፡ ውእቱ፡ ወአልቦ፡ ዘይሬኢ፡ ወዘይሰምዕ፡ እስመ፡ ግልፎ፡ ግብረ፡ እደ፡ ሰብእ፡ ውእቱ፡ ዘሰበኮ፡ ነሀቤ፡ ወርቅ፡ ወብሩር፡ ግብረ፡ ግብረ፡ እጓለ፡ እመሕያው፡ ዘአልቦ፡ አእመሮ፡ ወእስትንፋስ።
他們又敬拜一個名叫比珥毘珥的偶像，敬拜它、信靠它，如同信靠創造他們的主一般；它原是又聾又啞，不能看也不能聽，因為它不過是雕刻之物，是人手所造的，是金匠銀匠所鑄造的—是必死之人手所作的工，毫無知識、毫無氣息。
And again they worshipped an idol whose name was Beel Pegor, and they worshipped it and trusted in it as in the Lord their Creator; though it was deaf and dumb, and there was none that could see or hear, for it was a graven thing, the work of men's hands, which a smith of gold and silver had cast—the work, the work of a mortal man, which had no understanding or breath.
5:13
ወኢይበልዕ፡ ወኢይሰቲ።
它既不喫，也不喝。
And it eats not, neither does it drink.
5:14
ወኢይቀትል፡ ወኢያሐዩ።
它既不能殺，也不能救活。
And it slays not, neither does it make alive.
5:15
ወኢይተክል፡ ወኢይምሑ።
它既不能栽種，也不能拔除。
And it plants not, neither does it uproot.
5:16
ኢየሐስም፡ ወኢያሤኒ።
它既不能加害，也不能行善。
It does no harm, neither does it do good.
5:17
ኢያነጹ፡ ወኢያብዕል።
它既不能使人貧窮，也不能使人富足。
It makes not poor, neither does it make rich.
5:18
ኢይቀሥፍ፡ ወኢይሠሃል፡ አላ፡ ባሕቱ፡ ዕቅፍት፡ ይከውን፡ ለአስሕቶ፡ ዓብዳን፡ ሕዝበ፡ ከለዳውያን።
它既不能責打，也不能施憐憫；它不過是個絆腳石，用來迷惑迦勒底愚昧的百姓。
It chastises not, neither does it show mercy; but it is only a stumbling block for the deceiving of the foolish people of the Chaldeans.
