ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

And these were the borders of the tribe of the sons of Manasse, for he was the firstborn to Joseph: to Machir the firstborn of Manasse, the father of Galaad — for he was a man of war — in Galaaditis and in Basanitis.
And there was a portion for the remaining sons of Manasse according to their clans: for the sons of Iezer and the sons of Kelez and the sons of Ieziēl and the sons of Sychem and the sons of Symarim and the sons of Opher. These are the males according to their clans.
And to Salpaad son of Opher there were no sons, but only daughters. And these are the names of the daughters of Salpaad: Maala and Noua and Egla and Melcha and Thersa.
And they stood before Eleazar the priest and before Joshua and before the rulers, saying: God commanded by the hand of Moses to give us an inheritance in the midst of our brothers. And there was given to them, by the ordinance of the Lord, a lot among the brothers of their father.
For the daughters of the sons of Manasse inherited a lot in the midst of their brothers; and the land of Galaad became the portion of the remaining sons of Manasse.
And the borders of the sons of Manasse were Dēlanath, which is over against the sons of Anath; and it goes to the borders, to Iamin and Iassib, to the spring of Thaphthōth.
And the borders shall go down to the ravine of Karana, southward by the ravine of Iariēl — a terebinth belongs to Ephraim in the midst of a city of Manasse. And the borders of Manasse are northward to the torrent, and its outgoing shall be the sea.
On the south it is Ephraim's, and on the north Manasse's; and the sea shall be their border. And on the north they shall reach to Aser, and to Issachar on the east.
And Manasse shall have in Issachar and in Aser: Baithsan and their villages, and the inhabitants of Dōr and its villages, and the inhabitants of Mageddō and its villages, and the third part of Napheta and its villages.
And it came to pass, when the sons of Israel grew strong, that they made the Canaanites subject; but as for destroying them utterly, they did not destroy them.
But the sons of Joseph spoke against Joshua, saying: Why have you given us as an inheritance one lot and one measured portion? For I am a numerous people, and God has blessed me.
And Joshua said to them: If you are a numerous people, go up into the forest and clear ground there for yourself, if Mount Ephraim is too cramped for you.
And they said: Mount Ephraim will not be enough for us; and the Canaanite who dwells in it, in Baithsan and in its villages, in the valley of Iezrael, has choice horses and iron.
For the forest shall be yours, since it is a forest, and you shall clear it, and it shall be yours; and so also when you utterly destroy the Canaanite, though he has choice horses — for you are stronger than he.
