Joshua 13

And Joshua was old, advanced in days. And the Lord said to Joshua: You are advanced in days, and much land is left over for an inheritance.

And this is the land that is left: the borders of the Phylistiim, the Gesiri and the Canaanite;

from the uninhabited land that lies before Egypt as far as the borders of Akkaron, on the left of the Canaanites; it is reckoned to the five satrapies of the Phylistiim: to the Gazaean and the Azotian and the Ascalonite and the Gethaean and the Akkaronite, and to the Hivite;

from Thaiman, and to all the land of Chanaan before Gaza, and the Sidonians as far as Aphek, as far as the borders of the Amorites;

and all the land of Gabli of the Phylistiim, and all Lebanon from the rising of the sun, from Galgal under Mount Aermon as far as the entrance of Emath;

all who dwell in the hill country from Lebanon as far as Maserephothmaim, all the Sidonians: I myself will utterly destroy them from before Israel; only distribute it by lot to Israel, as I commanded you.

And now divide this land as an inheritance to the nine tribes and to the half tribe of Manasse. From the Jordan as far as the great sea toward the setting of the sun you shall give it; the great sea shall be the boundary.

But to the two tribes and to the half tribe of Manasse, to Rouben and to Gad, Moses gave beyond the Jordan toward the rising of the sun; Moses the servant of the Lord has given it.

from Aroer, which is on the edge of the wadi Arnon, and the city that is in the middle of the ravine, and all Misor from Maidaba as far as Daiban;

all the cities of Seon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Esebon, as far as the borders of the sons of Ammon;

and Galaaditis and the borders of Gesiri and of Machati, all Mount Aermon, and all Basanitis as far as Selcha;

all the kingdom of Og in Basanitis, who reigned in Astaroth and in Edrain: he was left of the giants, and Moses struck him and utterly destroyed him.

But the sons of Israel did not utterly destroy the Gesiri and the Machati and the Canaanite; and the king of Gesiri and the Machati dwelt among the sons of Israel to this present day.

Only to the tribe of Levi no inheritance was given; the Lord God of Israel, he is their inheritance, as the Lord said to them. And this is the division which Moses divided for the sons of Israel at Araboth Moab, beyond the Jordan, opposite Iericho.

And Moses gave to the tribe of Rouben according to their clans.

And their borders were from Aroer, which is opposite the ravine of Arnon, and the city that is in the ravine of Arnon, and all Misor,

as far as Esebon, and all the cities that are in Misor, and Daibon and Bamothbaal and the house of Beelmon,

and Iassa and Kedemoth and Mephaath,

and Kariathaim and Sebama and Serada and Sior on Mount Emak,

and Baithphogor and Asedoth Phasga and Baithasimoth,

and all the cities of Misor and all the kingdom of Seon king of the Amorites, whom Moses struck down, him and the leaders of Madiam: Eui and Rokom and Sour and Our and Robe, rulers under Seon, and those who inhabited the land.

And Balaam son of Beor, the diviner, they killed in the turn of the battle.

And the borders of Rouben were the Jordan, the boundary. This is the inheritance of the sons of Rouben according to their clans, their cities and their settlements.

And Moses gave to the sons of Gad according to their clans.

And their borders were Iazer, all the cities of Galaad, and half the land of the sons of Ammon as far as Aroer, which is opposite Rabba;

and from Esebon as far as Ramoth by Massepha, and Botanin and Maanain as far as the borders of Dabir;

and in Emek, Baitharam and Baithanabra and Sokchotha and Saphan, and the rest of the kingdom of Seon king of Esebon; and the Jordan shall be the boundary as far as the edge of the sea of Chenereth, beyond the Jordan on the east.

This is the inheritance of the sons of Gad according to their clans, their cities and their settlements.

And Moses gave to the half tribe of Manasse according to their clans.

And their borders were from Maanaim, and all the kingdom of Basan, and all the kingdom of Og king of Basan, and all the villages of Iair which are in Basanitis, sixty cities;

and half of Galaad, and in Astaroth and in Edrain, cities of the kingdom of Og in Basanitis; and they were given to the sons of Machir son of Manasse, and to the half of the sons of Machir son of Manasse, according to their clans.

These are they to whom Moses gave an inheritance beyond the Jordan, at Araboth Moab, beyond the Jordan opposite Iericho, on the east.
