14:1
σοφαὶ γυναῖκες ᾠκοδόμησαν οἴκους ἡ δὲ ἄφρων κατέσκαψεν ταῖς χερσὶν αὐτῆς
Wise women have built houses, but the foolish one has torn it down with her own hands.
有智慧的婦女建造房屋，愚昧的婦人卻親手拆毀。
14:2
ὁ πορευόμενος ὀρθῶς φοβεῖται τὸν κύριον ὁ δὲ σκολιάζων ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτοῦ ἀτιμασθήσεται
He who walks uprightly fears the Lord, but he who is crooked in his ways will be dishonoured.
行事正直的敬畏主，道路彎曲的必受羞辱。
14:3
ἐκ στόματος ἀφρόνων βακτηρία ὕβρεως χείλη δὲ σοφῶν φυλάσσει αὐτούς
Out of the mouth of fools comes a rod of insolence, but the lips of the wise guard them.
愚昧人的口中發出狂傲的杖，智慧人的嘴唇卻保護自己。
14:4
οὗ μή εἰσιν βόες φάτναι καθαραί οὗ δὲ πολλὰ γενήματα φανερὰ βοὸς ἰσχύς
Where there are no oxen, the mangers are clean; but where there is much produce, the strength of the ox is evident.
沒有牛的地方，槽是乾淨的；出產豐富的地方，就顯出牛的力量。
14:5
μάρτυς πιστὸς οὐ ψεύδεται ἐκκαίει δὲ ψεύδη μάρτυς ἄδικος
A faithful witness does not lie, but an unjust witness kindles lies.
忠信的見證人不說謊，不義的見證人卻煽起謊言。
14:6
ζητήσεις σοφίαν παρὰ κακοῖς καὶ οὐχ εὑρήσεις αἴσθησις δὲ παρὰ φρονίμοις εὐχερής
You will seek wisdom among the wicked and will not find it, but perception is readily available among the sensible.
你在惡人那裡尋求智慧，必尋不見；在明哲人那裡，知覺卻是容易得的。
14:7
πάντα ἐναντία ἀνδρὶ ἄφρονι ὅπλα δὲ αἰσθήσεως χείλη σοφά
Everything is against a foolish man, but wise lips are weapons of perception.
一切事對愚昧人都是相反的，智慧的嘴唇卻是知覺的兵器。
14:8
σοφία πανούργων ἐπιγνώσεται τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτῶν ἄνοια δὲ ἀφρόνων ἐν πλάνῃ
The wisdom of the shrewd will discern their ways, but the folly of fools is in error.
精明人的智慧能認清自己的道路，愚昧人的無知卻在迷途中。
14:9
οἰκίαι παρανόμων ὀφειλήσουσιν καθαρισμόν οἰκίαι δὲ δικαίων δεκταί
The houses of the lawless will owe purification, but the houses of the righteous are acceptable.
不法之人的家必虧欠潔淨之禮，義人的家卻蒙悅納。
14:10
καρδία ἀνδρὸς αἰσθητική λυπηρὰ ψυχὴ αὐτοῦ ὅταν δὲ εὐφραίνηται οὐκ ἐπιμείγνυται ὕβρει
If a man's heart is sensitive, his soul is full of grief; but when he rejoices, he does not mix with insolence.
人的心若敏於感受，他的魂就滿是愁苦；他歡喜的時候，卻不與狂傲相混。
14:11
οἰκίαι ἀσεβῶν ἀφανισθήσονται σκηναὶ δὲ κατορθούντων στήσονται
The houses of the impious will be wiped out, but the tents of the upright will stand.
不敬虔之人的家必被除滅，行事正直之人的帳棚卻必站立。
14:12
ἔστιν ὁδὸς ἣ δοκεῖ ὀρθὴ εἶναι παρὰ ἀνθρώποις τὰ δὲ τελευταῖα αὐτῆς ἔρχεται εἰς πυθμένα ᾅδου
There is a way which seems right to people, but its end comes to the depths of Hades.
有一條路，人以為是正直的，它的終局卻通到陰間的深處。
14:13
ἐν εὐφροσύναις οὐ προσμείγνυται λύπη τελευταία δὲ χαρὰ εἰς πένθος ἔρχεται
Grief is not mixed with gladness, but joy at the last comes to mourning.
憂愁不與歡樂相混，喜樂到了末了卻歸於悲哀。
14:14
τῶν ἑαυτοῦ ὁδῶν πλησθήσεται θρασυκάρδιος ἀπὸ δὲ τῶν διανοημάτων αὐτοῦ ἀνὴρ ἀγαθός
The bold-hearted will be filled with his own ways, but a good man from his own thoughts.
心裡放肆的人必飽嘗自己道路的果效，善人卻從自己的心思得著飽足。
14:15
ἄκακος πιστεύει παντὶ λόγῳ πανοῦργος δὲ ἔρχεται εἰς μετάνοιαν
The innocent believes every word, but the shrewd comes to a change of mind.
純真的人凡話都信，精明的人卻會回轉改念。
14:16
σοφὸς φοβηθεὶς ἐξέκλινεν ἀπὸ κακοῦ ὁ δὲ ἄφρων ἑαυτῷ πεποιθὼς μείγνυται ἀνόμῳ
A wise man, being afraid, turned aside from evil, but the fool, trusting in himself, mixes with the lawless.
智慧人因懼怕就遠離惡事，愚昧人卻自恃，與不法的人攙雜。
14:17
ὀξύθυμος πράσσει μετὰ ἀβουλίας ἀνὴρ δὲ φρόνιμος πολλὰ ὑποφέρει
A quick-tempered man acts without counsel, but a sensible man endures much.
性情急躁的人行事沒有計謀，明哲的人卻能忍受許多事。
14:18
μεριοῦνται ἄφρονες κακίαν οἱ δὲ πανοῦργοι κρατήσουσιν αἰσθήσεως
Fools will get a share of wickedness, but the shrewd will hold fast to perception.
愚昧人分得的是惡，精明人卻要持守知覺。
14:19
ὀλισθήσουσιν κακοὶ ἔναντι ἀγαθῶν καὶ ἀσεβεῖς θεραπεύσουσιν θύρας δικαίων
Evil men will slip before good men, and the impious will attend at the doors of the righteous.
惡人必在善人面前滑跌，不敬虔的人必伺候義人的門。
14:20
φίλοι μισήσουσιν φίλους πτωχούς φίλοι δὲ πλουσίων πολλοί
Friends will hate poor friends, but the friends of the rich are many.
朋友必恨惡貧窮的朋友，富人的朋友卻多。
14:21
ὁ ἀτιμάζων πένητας ἁμαρτάνει ἐλεῶν δὲ πτωχοὺς μακαριστός
He who dishonours the needy sins, but he who has mercy on the poor is blessed.
輕視窮乏人的，就是犯罪；憐憫貧窮人的，是有福的。
14:22
πλανώμενοι τεκταίνουσι κακά ἔλεον δὲ καὶ ἀλήθειαν τεκταίνουσιν ἀγαθοί οὐκ ἐπίστανται ἔλεον καὶ πίστιν τέκτονες κακῶν ἐλεημοσύναι δὲ καὶ πίστεις παρὰ τέκτοσιν ἀγαθοῖς
Those who go astray devise evils, but good people devise mercy and truth. Devisers of evils do not know mercy and faithfulness, but acts of mercy and faithfulness are with devisers of good.
走迷的人圖謀惡事，善人卻圖謀憐憫和真理。圖謀惡事的人不懂得憐憫和信實，憐憫和信實卻在圖謀善事的人那裡。
14:23
ἐν παντὶ μεριμνῶντι ἔνεστιν περισσόν ὁ δὲ ἡδὺς καὶ ἀνάλγητος ἐν ἐνδείᾳ ἔσται
In everyone who takes pains there is surplus, but he who is pleasure-seeking and unfeeling will be in want.
凡肯操勞的人都有盈餘，貪圖安逸、麻木無感的人卻必陷入缺乏。
14:24
στέφανος σοφῶν πανοῦργος ἡ δὲ διατριβὴ ἀφρόνων κακή
A shrewd person is the crown of the wise, but the pastime of fools is evil.
精明是智慧人的冠冕，愚昧人所消磨的光陰卻是惡的。
14:25
ῥύσεται ἐκ κακῶν ψυχὴν μάρτυς πιστός ἐκκαίει δὲ ψεύδη δόλιος
A faithful witness will deliver a soul from evils, but a deceitful man kindles lies.
忠信的見證人能救人的性命脫離禍患，詭詐的人卻煽起謊言。
14:26
ἐν φόβῳ κυρίου ἐλπὶς ἰσχύος τοῖς δὲ τέκνοις αὐτοῦ καταλείπει ἔρεισμα
In the fear of the Lord there is hope of strength, and he leaves a support for his children.
在敬畏主之中有剛強的盼望，他也為自己的兒女留下依靠。
14:27
πρόσταγμα κυρίου πηγὴ ζωῆς ποιεῖ δὲ ἐκκλίνειν ἐκ παγίδος θανάτου
The ordinance of the Lord is a fountain of life, and it makes one turn aside from the snare of death.
主的命令是生命的泉源，能使人躲開死亡的網羅。
14:28
ἐν πολλῷ ἔθνει δόξα βασιλέως ἐν δὲ ἐκλείψει λαοῦ συντριβὴ δυνάστου
In a numerous nation is the glory of a king, but in the dwindling of a people is the ruin of a ruler.
民多是君王的榮耀，民少是掌權者的敗亡。
14:29
μακρόθυμος ἀνὴρ πολὺς ἐν φρονήσει ὁ δὲ ὀλιγόψυχος ἰσχυρῶς ἄφρων
A patient man is great in understanding, but the faint-hearted is exceedingly foolish.
恆久忍耐的人大有明哲，心胸狹窄的人卻極其愚昧。
14:30
πραΰθυμος ἀνὴρ καρδίας ἰατρός σὴς δὲ ὀστέων καρδία αἰσθητική
A gentle-tempered man is a healer of the heart, but a sensitive heart is a moth to the bones.
性情溫和的人是心的醫生，敏於感受的心卻是骨頭的蛀蟲。
14:31
ὁ συκοφαντῶν πένητα παροξύνει τὸν ποιήσαντα αὐτόν ὁ δὲ τιμῶν αὐτὸν ἐλεᾷ πτωχόν
He who extorts from the needy provokes the one who made him, but he who honours him has mercy on the poor.
欺壓窮乏人的，是激怒那造他的；尊敬造他之主的，就憐憫貧窮人。
14:32
ἐν κακίᾳ αὐτοῦ ἀπωσθήσεται ἀσεβής ὁ δὲ πεποιθὼς τῇ ἑαυτοῦ ὁσιότητι δίκαιος
The impious will be thrust away in his own wickedness, but he who trusts in his own devotion is righteous.
不敬虔的人必因自己的惡被趕逐，倚靠自己虔誠的卻是義人。
14:33
ἐν καρδίᾳ ἀγαθῇ ἀνδρὸς σοφία ἐν δὲ καρδίᾳ ἀφρόνων οὐ διαγινώσκεται
Wisdom is in a man's good heart, but in the heart of fools it is not discerned.
智慧在人善良的心裡，在愚昧人的心中卻無法辨識出來。
14:34
δικαιοσύνη ὑψοῖ ἔθνος ἐλασσονοῦσι δὲ φυλὰς ἁμαρτίαι
Righteousness exalts a nation, but sins diminish tribes.
公義使邦國高舉，罪惡卻使支派衰微。
14:35
δεκτὸς βασιλεῖ ὑπηρέτης νοήμων τῇ δὲ ἑαυτοῦ εὐστροφίᾳ ἀφαιρεῖται ἀτιμίαν
A prudent attendant is acceptable to a king, and by his own adroitness he removes dishonour.
明智的臣僕蒙君王悅納，他也以自己的機敏除去羞辱。
