12:1
ἀγαπῶν παιδείαν ἀγαπᾷ αἴσθησιν δὲ μισῶν ἐλέγχους ἄφρων
Whoever loves correction loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.
喜愛管教的,就是喜愛知識; 恨惡責備的,卻是畜類。
12:2
κρείσσων εὑρὼν χάριν παρὰ κυρίῳ ἀνὴρ δὲ παράνομος παρασιωπηθήσεται
A good man shall obtain favor from Yahweh, but he will condemn a man of wicked plans.
善人必蒙耶和華的恩惠; 設詭計的人,耶和華必定他的罪。
12:3
οὐ κατορθώσει ἄνθρωπος ἐξ ἀνόμου αἱ δὲ ῥίζαι τῶν δικαίων οὐκ ἐξαρθήσονται
A man shall not be established by wickedness, but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.
人靠惡行不能堅立; 義人的根必不動搖。
12:4
γυνὴ ἀνδρεία στέφανος τῷ ἀνδρὶ αὐτῆς ὥσπερ δὲ ἐν ξύλῳ σκώληξ οὕτως ἄνδρα ἀπόλλυσιν γυνὴ κακοποιός
A worthy woman is the crown of her husband, but a disgraceful wife is as rottenness in his bones.
才德的婦人是丈夫的冠冕; 貽羞的婦人如同朽爛在她丈夫的骨中。
12:5
λογισμοὶ δικαίων κρίματα κυβερνῶσιν δὲ ἀσεβεῖς δόλους
The thoughts of the righteous are just, but the advice of the wicked is deceitful.
義人的思念是公平; 惡人的計謀是詭詐。
12:6
λόγοι ἀσεβῶν δόλιοι στόμα δὲ ὀρθῶν ῥύσεται αὐτούς
The words of the wicked are about lying in wait for blood, but the speech of the upright rescues them.
惡人的言論是埋伏流人的血; 正直人的口必拯救人。
12:7
οὗ ἐὰν στραφῇ ἀσεβὴς ἀφανίζεται οἶκοι δὲ δικαίων παραμένουσιν
The wicked are overthrown, and are no more, but the house of the righteous shall stand.
惡人傾覆,歸於無有; 義人的家必站得住。
12:8
στόμα συνετοῦ ἐγκωμιάζεται ὑπὸ ἀνδρός νωθροκάρδιος δὲ μυκτηρίζεται
A man shall be commended according to his wisdom, but he who has a warped mind shall be despised.
人必按自己的智慧被稱讚; 心中乖謬的,必被藐視。
12:9
κρείσσων ἀνὴρ ἐν ἀτιμίᾳ δουλεύων ἑαυτῷ τιμὴν ἑαυτῷ περιτιθεὶς καὶ προσδεόμενος ἄρτου
Better is he who is little known, and has a servant, than he who honors himself and lacks bread.
被人輕賤,卻有僕人, 強如自尊,缺少食物。
12:10
δίκαιος οἰκτίρει ψυχὰς κτηνῶν αὐτοῦ τὰ δὲ σπλάγχνα τῶν ἀσεβῶν ἀνελεήμονα
A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
義人顧惜他牲畜的命; 惡人的憐憫也是殘忍。
12:11
ἐργαζόμενος τὴν ἑαυτοῦ γῆν ἐμπλησθήσεται ἄρτων οἱ δὲ διώκοντες μάταια ἐνδεεῖς φρενῶν ὅς ἐστιν ἡδὺς ἐν οἴνων διατριβαῖς ἐν τοῖς ἑαυτοῦ ὀχυρώμασιν καταλείψει ἀτιμίαν
He who tills his land shall have plenty of bread, but he who chases fantasies is void of understanding.
耕種自己田地的,必得飽食; 追隨虛浮的,卻是無知。
12:12
ἐπιθυμίαι ἀσεβῶν κακαί αἱ δὲ ῥίζαι τῶν εὐσεβῶν ἐν ὀχυρώμασιν
The wicked desires the plunder of evil men, but the root of the righteous flourishes.
惡人想得壞人的網羅; 義人的根得以結實。
12:13
δῑ ἁμαρτίαν χειλέων ἐμπίπτει εἰς παγίδας ἁμαρτωλός ἐκφεύγει δὲ ἐξ αὐτῶν δίκαιος βλέπων λεῖα ἐλεηθήσεται δὲ συναντῶν ἐν πύλαις ἐκθλίψει ψυχάς
An evil man is trapped by sinfulness of lips, but the righteous shall come out of trouble.
惡人嘴中的過錯是自己的網羅; 但義人必脫離患難。
12:14
ἀπὸ καρπῶν στόματος ψυχὴ ἀνδρὸς πλησθήσεται ἀγαθῶν ἀνταπόδομα δὲ χειλέων αὐτοῦ δοθήσεται αὐτῷ
A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth. The work of a man’s hands shall be rewarded to him.
人因口所結的果子,必飽得美福; 人手所做的,必為自己的報應。
12:15
ὁδοὶ ἀφρόνων ὀρθαὶ ἐνώπιον αὐτῶν εἰσακούει δὲ συμβουλίας σοφός
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who is wise listens to counsel.
愚妄人所行的,在自己眼中看為正直; 惟智慧人肯聽人的勸教。
12:16
ἄφρων αὐθημερὸν ἐξαγγέλλει ὀργὴν αὐτοῦ κρύπτει δὲ τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ἀτιμίαν πανοῦργος
A fool shows his annoyance the same day, but one who overlooks an insult is prudent.
愚妄人的惱怒立時顯露; 通達人能忍辱藏羞。
12:17
ἐπιδεικνυμένην πίστιν ἀπαγγέλλει δίκαιος δὲ μάρτυς τῶν ἀδίκων δόλιος
He who is truthful testifies honestly, but a false witness lies.
說出真話的,顯明公義; 作假見證的,顯出詭詐。
12:18
εἰσὶν οἳ λέγοντες τιτρώσκουσιν μαχαίρᾳ γλῶσσαι δὲ σοφῶν ἰῶνται
There is one who speaks rashly like the piercing of a sword, but the tongue of the wise heals.
說話浮躁的,如刀刺人; 智慧人的舌頭卻為醫人的良藥。
12:19
χείλη ἀληθινὰ κατορθοῖ μαρτυρίαν μάρτυς δὲ ταχὺς γλῶσσαν ἔχει ἄδικον
Truth’s lips will be established forever, but a lying tongue is only momentary.
口吐真言,永遠堅立; 舌說謊話,只存片時。
12:20
δόλος ἐν καρδίᾳ τεκταινομένου κακά οἱ δὲ βουλόμενοι εἰρήνην εὐφρανθήσονται
Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil, but joy comes to the promoters of peace.
圖謀惡事的,心存詭詐; 勸人和睦的,便得喜樂。
12:21
οὐκ ἀρέσει τῷ δικαίῳ οὐδὲν ἄδικον οἱ δὲ ἀσεβεῖς πλησθήσονται κακῶν
No mischief shall happen to the righteous, but the wicked shall be filled with evil.
義人不遭災害;惡人滿受禍患。
12:22
βδέλυγμα κυρίῳ χείλη ψευδῆ δὲ ποιῶν πίστεις δεκτὸς παρ’ αὐτῷ
Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight.
說謊言的嘴為耶和華所憎惡; 行事誠實的,為他所喜悅。
12:23
ἀνὴρ συνετὸς θρόνος αἰσθήσεως καρδία δὲ ἀφρόνων συναντήσεται ἀραῖς
A prudent man keeps his knowledge, but the hearts of fools proclaim foolishness.
通達人隱藏知識; 愚昧人的心彰顯愚昧。
12:24
χεὶρ ἐκλεκτῶν κρατήσει εὐχερῶς δόλιοι δὲ ἔσονται εἰς προνομήν
The hands of the diligent ones shall rule, but laziness ends in slave labor.
殷勤人的手必掌權; 懶惰的人必服苦。
12:25
φοβερὸς λόγος καρδίαν ταράσσει ἀνδρὸς δικαίου ἀγγελία δὲ ἀγαθὴ εὐφραίνει αὐτόν
Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but a kind word makes it glad.
人心憂慮,屈而不伸; 一句良言,使心歡樂。
12:26
ἐπιγνώμων δίκαιος ἑαυτοῦ φίλος ἔσται αἱ δὲ γνῶμαι τῶν ἀσεβῶν ἀνεπιεικεῖς ἁμαρτάνοντας καταδιώξεται κακά δὲ ὁδὸς τῶν ἀσεβῶν πλανήσει αὐτούς
A righteous person is cautious in friendship, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.
義人引導他的鄰舍; 惡人的道叫人失迷。
12:27
οὐκ ἐπιτεύξεται δόλιος θήρας κτῆμα δὲ τίμιον ἀνὴρ καθαρός
The slothful man doesn’t roast his game, but the possessions of diligent men are prized.
懶惰的人不烤打獵所得的; 殷勤的人卻得寶貴的財物。
12:28
ἐν ὁδοῖς δικαιοσύνης ζωή ὁδοὶ δὲ μνησικάκων εἰς θάνατον
In the way of righteousness is life; in its path there is no death.
在公義的道上有生命; 其路之中並無死亡。
