And He created the whole world out of nothing, and prepared and ordered the mountains and the hills, and established the earth upon the waters, and fenced it about with sand that it should not be shaken; for at the first the Lord said, Let there be light.
And there was light, while the world was darkness; and the Lord wrought His work, and prepared and established the world in what is fitting and right; and He said, Let there be evening and darkness.
And He shut in with sand the gates of the sea, and made them firm by His Spirit, that they should not break out beneath the lowest depth; and He set the wild beasts and the cattle to dwell therein, and the great creatures therein without number, both those that are seen and those that are not seen.
And the tree of life, fair to look upon and sweet to eat, and grass and all the green herbage of the earth, of which they sowed the seed. And He ordained food for all the cattle and the wild beasts and the birds, and gave nourishment to all that He created.
And there was evening, and there was morning; and on the fourth day the Lord said, Let there be light in the firmament of heaven; and the Lord made the sun and the moon and the stars, and set them in the firmament of heaven, to give light upon the earth, and to rule it by day and by night.

於是日、月與星辰被分派管理白晝與黑夜。
And then the sun and the moon and the stars were appointed for day and for night.
And on the fifth day the Lord created all the wild beasts and the living creatures that dwell in the heavens, and all the birds that fly above in the air, and all that is seen and that is not seen; all this the Lord created.
And on the sixth day He created all the wild beasts and the cattle and the creeping things; and when He had created all and set it in order, He created Adam in His own image and after His likeness.
And He committed to him all the wild beasts and the cattle that He had created, that he should rule over them, and further all the cattle and the wild beasts and the fish and the great creatures that are in the sea.
And He set man, whom He had made in His own image and after His likeness, and commanded him to eat and to tend the garden, and to praise the Lord there.
And the Lord was wroth with our father Adam, because he transgressed His commandment and ate of that tree of which the Lord had commanded him not to eat; and He drove him out of the garden, and gave him this land of thorns and thistles, which He cursed because of him when he transgressed His commandment, that he should till it and eat the reward of his toil by the sweat of his face.
And when the Lord had brought him forth into this land, Adam entered into sorrow and grief of heart, and began to till the ground and to eat by the sweat of his face, and with weariness and toil.
