23:1
ወነጺሮ ጳውሎስ ዐውደ ይቤሎሙ አንሰኬ ኦ አኀውየ በኵሉ ትምህርት ሠናይ ተፀመድክዎ ለእግዚአብሔር እስከ ዛቲ ዕለት።
保羅定睛看着公會的人，說：「弟兄們，我在上帝面前行事為人都是憑着良心，直到今日。」
Paul, looking steadfastly at the council, said, “Brothers, I have lived before God in all good conscience until today.”
23:2
ወአዘዘ ሊቀ ካህናት ሐናንያ ይጽፍዕዎ አፉሁ ለጳውሎስ።
大祭司亞拿尼亞就吩咐旁邊站着的人打他的嘴。
The high priest, Ananias, commanded those who stood by him to strike him on the mouth.
23:3
ወይቤሎ ጳውሎስ ሀሎ እግዚአብሔር ይጸፍዐከ በመቅሠፍተ መዓቱ ኦ ነኪር ዘትመስል አረፍተ ግብስስተ አንተሰ ነበርከ ትኰንነኒ በሕጉሂ ወዘእንበለ ሕጉሂ ወናሁ ትኤዝዝ ይዝብጡኒ።
保羅對他說：「你這粉飾的牆，上帝要打你！你坐堂為的是按律法審問我，你竟違背律法，吩咐人打我嗎？」
Then Paul said to him, “God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! Do you sit to judge me according to the law, and command me to be struck contrary to the law?”
23:4
ወይቤልዎ ለጳውሎስ እለ ይቀውሙ በእፎ ትጼእል ሊቀ ካህናቲሁ ለእግዚአብሔር።
站在旁邊的人說：「你辱罵上帝的大祭司嗎？」
Those who stood by said, “Do you malign God’s high priest?”
23:5
ወይቤሎሙ ጳውሎስ ኢያመርኩ አኀውየ ለእመ ሊቀ ካህናት ውእቱ ወይብል መጽሐፍ ኢታሕሥም ዲበ መኰንነ ሕዝብከ።
保羅說：「弟兄們，我不曉得他是大祭司；經上記着說：『不可毀謗你百姓的官長。』」
Paul said, “I didn’t know, brothers, that he was high priest. For it is written, ‘You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.’”
23:6
ወርእዮ ጳውሎስ ከመ አሐዱ ገጽ ሰዱቃውያን ወመንፈቆሙ ፈሪሳውያን ከልሐ በውስተ ዐውድ ወይቤ አንሰ ፈሪሳዊ ወልደ ፈሪሳዊ አነ በእንተ ተስፋ ሕይወተ ሙታን እትኴነን።
保羅看出大眾一半是撒都該人，一半是法利賽人，就在公會中大聲說：「弟兄們，我是法利賽人，也是法利賽人的子孫。我現在受審問，是為盼望死人復活。」
But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, “Men and brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees. Concerning the hope and resurrection of the dead I am being judged!”
23:7
ወሶበ ከመዝ ይብል ተበአሱ ፈሪሳውያን ወሰዱቃውያን ወተናፈቁ ሕዝብ።
說了這話，法利賽人和撒都該人就爭論起來，會眾分為兩黨。
When he had said this, an argument arose between the Pharisees and Sadducees, and the crowd was divided.
23:8
እስመ ሰዱቃውያን ይብሉ ኢየሐይዉ ሙታን ወአልቦ መልአክ ወኢመንፈስ ቅዱስ ወፈሪሳውያንሰ የአምኑ ከመ ቦ ዝንቱ ኵሉ።
因為撒都該人說，沒有復活，也沒有天使和鬼魂；法利賽人卻說，兩樣都有。
For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, nor angel, nor spirit; but the Pharisees confess all of these.
23:9
ወኮነ ዐቢይ አውያት ወተንሥኡ ጸሐፍት ወፈሪሳውያን ወአኀዙ ይትአበሱ ወይትላኰዩ ወይቤሉ አልቦ ዘረከብነ እኩየ ላዕለ ዝ ብእሲ እንዳዒ ለእመ መንፈስ ቅዱስ ተናገሮ አው መልአክ ወኢንትበአስ ምስለ እግዚአብሔር።
於是大大地喧嚷起來。有幾個法利賽黨的文士站起來爭辯說：「我們看不出這人有甚麼惡處，倘若有鬼魂或是天使對他說過話，怎麼樣呢？」
A great clamor arose, and some of the scribes of the Pharisees’ part stood up, and contended, saying, “We find no evil in this man. But if a spirit or angel has spoken to him, let’s not fight against God!”
23:10
ወሶበ ተሀውኩ ፈድፋደ ፈርሀ መልአክ ኢይምሥጥዎ ለጳውሎስ ወአዘዘ ሠገራተ ይምጽኡ ወይንሥእዎ እማእከሎሙ ወይሰድዎ ኀበ ምኵናን።
那時大起爭吵，千夫長恐怕保羅被他們扯碎了，就吩咐兵丁下去，把他從眾人當中搶出來，帶進營樓去。
When a great argument arose, the commanding officer, fearing that Paul would be torn in pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down and take him by force from among them and bring him into the barracks.
23:11
ወበካልእት ሌሊት አስተርአዮ እግዚእነ ለጳውሎስ ወይቤሎ ተአመን በከመ ኮንከኒ ሰማዕትየ በኢየሩሳሌም ከማሁ ሀለወከ ትኩነኒ ሰማዕትየ በሮሜሂ።
當夜，主站在保羅旁邊，說：「放心吧！你怎樣在耶路撒冷為我作見證，也必怎樣在羅馬為我作見證。」
The following night, the Lord stood by him and said, “Cheer up, Paul, for as you have testified about me at Jerusalem, so you must testify also at Rome.”
23:12
ወጸቢሖ ተጋብኡ አይሁድ ወተማሐሉ ወተሰካተዩ ወሐረሙ ኅብስተ ወማየ ወይቤሉ ኢንብላዕ ወኢንስተይ እስከ ንቀትሎ ለጳውሎስ።
到了天亮，猶太人同謀起誓，說：「若不先殺保羅就不吃不喝。」
When it was day, some of the Jews banded together and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink until they had killed Paul.
23:13
ወእለሰ ከመዝ ተማሐሉ ይበዝኁ እምአርብዓ ብእሲ።
這樣同心起誓的有四十多人。
There were more than forty people who had made this conspiracy.
23:14
እሙንቱሰ ሖሩ ኀበ ሊቃነ ካህናት ወረበናት ወይቤልዎሙ ናሁኬ ተማሐልነ ወተሰካተይነ ከመ ኢንብላዕ ወኢንስተይ እስከ ንቅትሎ ለጳውሎስ።
他們來見祭司長和長老，說：「我們已經起了一個大誓，若不先殺保羅就不吃甚麼。
They came to the chief priests and the elders, and said, “We have bound ourselves under a great curse to taste nothing until we have killed Paul.
23:15
ወይእዜኒ ሑሩ ኀበ መልአክ ወበልዎ ከመ ያምጽኦ ለጳውሎስ ኀቤክሙ ከመ ዘተሐትትዎ ወትጤይቅዎ ወንሕነሰ ጥቡዓን ንሕነ ንቅትሎ ዘእንበለ ይብጻሕ ኀቤክሙ።
現在你們和公會要知會千夫長，叫他帶下保羅到你們這裏來，假作要詳細察考他的事；我們已經預備好了，不等他來到跟前就殺他。」
Now therefore, you with the council inform the commanding officer that he should bring him down to you tomorrow, as though you were going to judge his case more exactly. We are ready to kill him before he comes near.”
23:16
ወሰሚዖ ወልደ እኅቱ ለጳውሎስ ምክሮሙ ሖረ ወቦአ ቤተ ሞቅሕ ወነገሮ ለጳውሎስ።
保羅的外甥聽見他們設下埋伏，就來到營樓裏告訴保羅。
But Paul’s sister’s son heard they were lying in wait, and he came and entered into the barracks and told Paul.
23:17
ወጸውዖ ጳውሎስ ለሐቢ ወይቤሎ አብጽሖ ሊተ ኀበ መልአክ ለዝ ወልድ እስመ ቦ ነገር ዘይነግሮ።
保羅請一個百夫長來，說：「你領這少年人去見千夫長，他有事告訴他。」
Paul summoned one of the centurions and said, “Bring this young man to the commanding officer, for he has something to tell him.”
23:18
ወነሥኦ ሐቢ ለወልድ ወወሰዶ ኀበ መልአክ ወይቤሎ ጳውሎስ ሙቁሕ አስተብቍዐኒ አብጽሖ ኀቤከ ለዝ ወልድ እስመ ቦ ዘይነግረከ።
於是把他領去見千夫長，說：「被囚的保羅請我到他那裏，求我領這少年人來見你；他有事告訴你。」
So he took him and brought him to the commanding officer and said, “Paul, the prisoner, summoned me and asked me to bring this young man to you. He has something to tell you.”
23:19
ወአኀዞ መልአክ ለወልድ በእዴሁ ወአግኀሦ በባሕቲቱ ወይቤሎ ምንትኑ ነገሩ ዘታየድዐኒ።
千夫長就拉着他的手，走到一旁，私下問他說：「你有甚麼事告訴我呢？」
The commanding officer took him by the hand, and going aside, asked him privately, “What is it that you have to tell me?”
23:20
ወይቤሎ ከመዝ ተማከሩ አይሁድ ያስተብቍዑከ ታምጽኦ ጌሠመ ለጳውሎስ ውስተ ዐውድ ከመ ትሕትቶ ወትጠይቆ።
他說：「猶太人已經約定，要求你明天帶下保羅到公會裏去，假作要詳細查問他的事。
He said, “The Jews have agreed to ask you to bring Paul down to the council tomorrow, as though intending to inquire somewhat more accurately concerning him.
23:21
አንተኬ ኦሆ ኢትበሎሙ እስመ ይጸንሑ ይቅትልዎ ወይበዝኁ እምአርብዓ ዕደው እለ ከመዝ ተማሐሉ ኢይብልዑ ወኢይስተዩ እስከ ይቀትልዎ ወይእዜኒ ጥቡዓን እሙንቱ ዳእሙ እስከ ትልእክ ሎሙ ይጸንሕዎ።
你切不要隨從他們；因為他們有四十多人埋伏，已經起誓說，若不先殺保羅就不吃不喝。現在預備好了，只等你應允。」
Therefore don’t yield to them, for more than forty men lie in wait for him, who have bound themselves under a curse to neither eat nor drink until they have killed him. Now they are ready, looking for the promise from you.”
23:22
ወእምዝ ፈነዎ መልአክ ለውእቱ ወልድ ወይቤሎ ከመ ኢይንግር ወኢለመኑሂ እምዘነገሮ።
於是千夫長打發少年人走，囑咐他說：「不要告訴人你將這事報給我了。」
So the commanding officer let the young man go, charging him, “Tell no one that you have revealed these things to me.”
23:23
ወጸውዐ ክልኤተ እምወዓልያኒሁ ወይቤሎሙ ንሥኡ ክልኤተ ምእተ ብእሴ እምውስተ ሐራ ወሰብዓ ሰብአ አፍራስ ወክልኤተ ምእተ ሰብአ ቀስት ወይሑሩ ቂሳርያ ጊዜ ሠለስቱ ሰዓተ ሌሊት።
千夫長便叫了兩個百夫長來，說：「預備步兵二百，馬兵七十，長槍手二百，今夜亥初往凱撒利亞去；
He called to himself two of the centurions, and said, “Prepare two hundred soldiers to go as far as Caesarea, with seventy horsemen and two hundred men armed with spears, at the third hour of the night.”
23:24
ወአዘዞሙ ወይቤሎሙ ከመ ይንሥኡ አድገኒ ወያጽዕንዎ ለጳውሎስ ወያብጽሕዎ ኀበ ፊልክስ መልአከ ቂሳርያ ወገብሩ ከማሁ።
也要預備牲口叫保羅騎上，護送到巡撫腓力斯那裏去。」
He asked them to provide mounts, that they might set Paul on one, and bring him safely to Felix the governor.
23:25
ወጸሐፈ ሎቱ መጽሐፈ እንተ ትብል።
千夫長又寫了文書，
He wrote a letter like this:
23:26
እምቀላውዴዎስ ሉስዮስ ለጽኑዕ መኰንን ፊልክስ ሰላም ለከ።
大略說：「克勞第‧呂西亞，請巡撫腓力斯大人安。
“Claudius Lysias to the most excellent governor Felix: Greetings.
23:27
ለዝአ ብእሲአ አኀዝዎአ አይሁድአ ወፈቀዱአ ይቅትልዎአ ወቆምኩአ ሎቱአ ምስለአ ወዓልየአ ወአድኀንክዎአ አእሚርየአ ከመ ሰብአ ሮሜአ ውእቱአ።
這人被猶太人拿住，將要殺害，我得知他是羅馬人，就帶兵丁下去救他出來。
“This man was seized by the Jews, and was about to be killed by them when I came with the soldiers and rescued him, having learned that he was a Roman.
23:28
ወፈቂድየ አእምር ጌጋዮ አቅረብክዎ ውስተ ዐውድ ወሐተትኩ ከመ በእንተ ምንት ያስተዋድይዎ።
因要知道他們告他的緣故，我就帶他下到他們的公會去，
Desiring to know the cause why they accused him, I brought him down to their council.
23:29
ወኢረከብኩ ሎቱ ጌጋየ ወአእሚርየ ከመ በከ ያስተዋድይዎ በእንተ ሕገጊሆሙ ወአልቦ ባዕድ ጌጋይ በዘይመውት ወበዘይትሞቃሕ።
便查知他被告是因他們律法的辯論，並沒有甚麼該死該綁的罪名。
I found him to be accused about questions of their law, but not to be charged with anything worthy of death or of imprisonment.
23:30
ወሶበ ጠየቁ ኀለይኩ ዘይገብሩ አይሁድ ዲበ ዝ ብእሲ በጸኒሕ ፈነውክዎ ኀቤከ ፍጡነ ወአዘዝክዎሙ ለመስተዋድያንሂ ይምጽኡ ኀቤከ ወይትኳነንዎ በቅድሜከ ዳኅነ ሀሉ።
後來有人把要害他的計謀告訴我，我就立時解他到你那裏去，又吩咐告他的人在你面前告他。 」
When I was told that the Jews lay in wait for the man, I sent him to you immediately, charging his accusers also to bring their accusations against him before you. Farewell.”
23:31
ወገብሩ ሐራ በከመ አዘዞሙ ወነሥእዎ ለጳውሎስ በሌሊት ወአብጽሕዎ አንቲጳጥሪስ።
於是，兵丁照所吩咐他們的，將保羅夜裏帶到安提帕底。
So the soldiers, carrying out their orders, took Paul and brought him by night to Antipatris.
23:32
ወበሳኒታ ተመይጡ ውስተ አህጉረ አድያም ወአውዐሉ አፍራሲሆሙ።
第二天，讓馬兵護送，他們就回營樓去。
But on the next day they left the horsemen to go with him, and returned to the barracks.
23:33
ወእምዝ ቦኡ እሉ ቂሳርያ ወበጽሑ ኀበ መኰንን ወመጠውዎ መጽሐፈ መልእክት ለመኰንን ወአቅረብዎ ለጳውሎስ ኀቤሁ።
馬兵來到凱撒利亞，把文書呈給巡撫，便叫保羅站在他面前。
When they came to Caesarea and delivered the letter to the governor, they also presented Paul to him.
23:34
ወአንቢቦ ሐተቶ ዘእምኵናነ መኑ ውእቱ ወአእሚሮ ከመ ዘሀገረ ቂልቅያ ውእቱ።
巡撫看了文書，問保羅是哪省的人，既曉得他是基利家人，
When the governor had read it, he asked what province he was from. When he understood that he was from Cilicia, he said,
23:35
ይቤ እንከሰ በጺሖሙ መስተዋድያን ንሰምዐከሙ ወአዘዘ ይዕቀብዎ ኀበ ምኵናነ ሄሮድስ።
就說：「等告你的人來到，我要細聽你的事」；便吩咐人把他看守在希律的衙門裏。
“I will hear you fully when your accusers also arrive.” He commanded that he be kept in Herod’s palace.
