And it came to pass after these things that David struck the Philistines and routed them; and David took that which was set apart out of the hand of the Philistines.
And David struck Moab and measured them out with cords, making them lie down on the ground; and two cord-lengths were for putting to death, and two cord-lengths he kept alive. And Moab became servants to David, bringing gifts.
And David captured beforehand of his: a thousand chariots and seven thousand horsemen and twenty thousand foot soldiers. And David disabled all the chariots, but left a hundred chariots of them.
And David placed a garrison in Syria that is by Damascus, and the Syrians became servants to David, bringing gifts. And the Lord saved David in all the places where he went.
And David took the golden armlets that were upon the servants of Adraazar king of Souba, and he brought them to Jerusalem. And Sousakim king of Egypt took them when he went up to Jerusalem in the days of Roboam son of Solomon.
And out of Masbak, out of the choice cities of Adraazar, King David took very much bronze; with it Salomon made the bronze sea and the pillars and the lavers and all the vessels.
and Thoou sent Ieddouran his son to King David to greet him with peace and to bless him, because he had warred against Adraazar and struck him, for he was an adversary to Adraazar. And in his hands were vessels of silver and vessels of gold and vessels of bronze.
And these King David consecrated to the Lord, together with the silver and with the gold which he had consecrated out of all the cities that he had subdued —
out of Idumea and out of the land of Moab and out of the sons of Ammon and out of the Philistines and out of Amalek, and out of the spoils of Adraazar son of Raab king of Souba.
And he placed a garrison in Idumea, in all Idumea, and all the Idumeans became servants to the king. And the Lord saved David in all the places where he went.
