3:1
ወአመ ዐሠርቱ ወኀምስቱ ዓመተ መንግሥቱ ለጢባርዮስ ቄሳር እንዘ ጲላጦስ ጰንጤናዊ መልአከ ይሁዳ ወሄሮድስ ንጉሥ ላዕለ ገሊላ ወፊልጶስ እኁሁ መልአከ ኢጡርያስ ወለብሔረ ጥራኮኒዶስ ወሊሳንዩስ ሀቢ እንተ ሳብላኔስ።
Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene,
凱撒提庇留在位第十五年，本丟‧彼拉多作猶太巡撫，希律作加利利分封的王，他兄弟腓力作以土利亞和特拉可尼地方分封的王，呂撒聶作亞比利尼分封的王，
3:2
ወአመ ሐና ወቀያፋ ሊቃነ ካህናት መጽአ ቃለ እግዚአብሔር ላዕለ ዮሐንስ ወልደ ዘካርያስ በገዳም።
during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John, the son of Zacharias, in the wilderness.
亞那和該亞法作大祭司。那時，撒迦利亞的兒子約翰在曠野裏，上帝的話臨到他。
3:3
ወዖደ አድያመ ዮርዳኖስ ወሰበከ ጥምቀተ ለንስሓ በዘይትኀደግ ኀጢአት።
He came into all the region around the Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for remission of sins.
他就來到約旦河一帶地方，宣講悔改的洗禮，使罪得赦。
3:4
በከመ ይብል ቃለ መጽሐፈ ኢሳይያስ ነቢይ ዘይቤ፤ «ናሁ ቃለ ዐዋዲ ዘይሰብክ በገዳም ወይብል ጺሑ ፍኖተ እግዚአብሔር ወዐርዩ መጽያሕቶ።
As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make ready the way of the Lord. Make his paths straight.
正如先知以賽亞書上所記的話，說： 在曠野有人聲喊着說： 預備主的道， 修直他的路！
3:5
ኵሉ ማዕምቅ ይምላእ ወኵሉ ደብር ወወግር ይተሐት ወይኩን መብእስ መጽያሕተ ርቱዐ ወይዕሪ ፍኖት መብእስ።
Every valley will be filled. Every mountain and hill will be brought low. The crooked will become straight, and the rough ways smooth.
一切山窪都要填滿； 大小山岡都要削平！ 彎彎曲曲的地方要改為正直； 高高低低的道路要改為平坦！
3:6
ወይርአይ ኵሉ ዘነፍስ አድኅኖቶ ለእግዚአብሔር።»
All flesh will see God’s salvation.’”
凡有血氣的，都要見上帝的救恩！
3:7
ወይቤሎሙ ዮሐንስ ለሕዝብ እለ መጽኡ ኀቤሁ ያጥምቆሙ ኦ ትውልደ ሰበድዓት መኑ ነገረክሙ ታምሥጡ እመቅሠፍት ዘይመጽእ።
He said therefore to the multitudes who went out to be baptized by him, “You offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
約翰對那出來要受他洗的眾人說：「毒蛇的種類！誰指示你們逃避將來的忿怒呢？
3:8
ግበሩ እንከ ፍሬ ዘይደልወክሙ ለንስሓ ወኢይምሰልክሙ በብሂለ ሀሎ አቡነ አብርሃም እብለክሙ ከመ ይክል እግዚአብሔር አንሥኦ ውሉድ ለአብርሃም እምእላንቱ አእባን።
Therefore produce fruits worthy of repentance, and don’t begin to say among yourselves, ‘We have Abraham for our father;’ for I tell you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones!
你們要結出果子來，與悔改的心相稱。不要自己心裏說：『有亞伯拉罕為我們的祖宗。』我告訴你們，上帝能從這些石頭中，給亞伯拉罕興起子孫來。
3:9
እስመ ናሁ ወድአ ተሠይመ ጕድብ ኀበ ጕንደ ዕፀው ወለኵሉ ዕፅ ዘኢይፈሪ ፍሬ ሠናየ ይገዝምዎ ወውስተ እሳት ይወድይዎ።
Even now the ax also lies at the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that doesn’t produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”
現在斧子已經放在樹根上，凡不結好果子的樹就砍下來，丟在火裏。」
3:10
ወተስእልዎ ሕዝብ ወይቤልዎ ምንተ ንግበር።
The multitudes asked him, “What then must we do?”
眾人問他說：「這樣，我們當做甚麼呢？」
3:11
ወአውሥአ ወይቤሎሙ ዘቦ ክልኤ ልብስ ኪዳናት የሀብ ለዘአልቦ ወዘሂቦ እክል ከማሁ ይግበር።
He answered them, “He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none. He who has food, let him do likewise.”
約翰回答說：「有兩件衣裳的，就分給那沒有的；有食物的，也當這樣行。」
3:12
ወመጽኡ መጸብሓንሂ ያጥምቆሙ ወተስእልዎ ወይቤልዎ ሊቅ ምንተ ንግበር።
Tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they said to him, “Teacher, what must we do?”
又有稅吏來要受洗，問他說：「夫子，我們當做甚麼呢？」
3:13
ወይቤሎሙ አልቦ ዘትገብሩ ፈድፋደ እምዘተአዘዝክሙ።
He said to them, “Collect no more than that which is appointed to you.”
約翰說：「除了例定的數目，不要多取。」
3:14
ወተስእልዎ ሐራሂ ወይቤልዎ ንሕነኬ ምንተ ንግበር ወይቤሎሙ ኢትትዐገሉ ወኢመነሂ ወኢትሂዱ አላ ንበሩ በበሲሳይክሙ።
Soldiers also asked him, saying, “What about us? What must we do?” He said to them, “Extort from no one by violence, neither accuse anyone wrongfully. Be content with your wages.”
又有兵丁問他說：「我們當做甚麼呢？」約翰說：「不要以強暴待人，也不要訛詐人，自己有錢糧就當知足。」
3:15
ወኀለዩ ኵሉ ሕዝብ በልቦሙ ወመሰሎሙ ዮሐንስ ከመ ውእቱ ክርስቶስ።
As the people were in expectation, and all men reasoned in their hearts concerning John, whether perhaps he was the Christ,
百姓指望基督來的時候，人都心裏猜疑，或者約翰是基督。
3:16
ወአውሥአ ዮሐንስ ወይቤሎሙ ለኵሎሙ አንሰ አጠምቀክሙ በማይ ወይመጽእ ዘይጸንዐኒ ዘኢይደልወኒ እፍታሕ ቶታነ አሣእኒሁ ወውእቱ ያጠምቀክሙ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ወበእሳት።
John answered them all, “I indeed baptize you with water, but he comes who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to loosen. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire.
約翰說：「我是用水給你們施洗，但有一位能力比我更大的要來，我就是給他解鞋帶也不配。他要用聖靈與火給你們施洗。
3:17
ዘመሥኤ ውስተ እዴሁ ወያነጽሕ ዐውደ እክሉ ወያስተጋብእ ሥርናዮ ውስተ መዛግብቲሁ ወሐሠሮሰ ያውዒ በእሳት ዘኢይጠፍእ።
His winnowing fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly cleanse his threshing floor, and will gather the wheat into his barn; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
他手裏拿着簸箕，要揚淨他的場，把麥子收在倉裏，把糠用不滅的火燒盡了。」
3:18
ወቦ ባዕድኒ ብዙኅ ዘመሀሮሙ ለሕዝብ ወገሠጾሙ።
Then with many other exhortations he preached good news to the people,
約翰又用許多別的話勸百姓，向他們傳福音。
3:19
ወኮነ ዮሐንስ ይጌሥጾ ለሄሮድስ ወይዘልፎ በእንተ ሄሮድያዳ ብእሲተ ፊልጶስ እኁሁ ወበእንተ ኵሉ እኩይ ዘገብረ ሄሮድስ።
but Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias, his brother’s wife, and for all the evil things which Herod had done,
只是分封的王希律，因他兄弟之妻希羅底的緣故，並因他所行的一切惡事，受了約翰的責備；
3:20
ወዓዲ ወሰከ እንበይነ ዝኒ ተቀየሞ ለዮሐንስ ወዐጸዎ ውስተ ቤተ ሞቅሕ።
added this also to them all, that he shut up John in prison.
又另外添了一件，就是把約翰收在監裏。
3:21
ወእምድኅረ ተጠምቁ ኵሉ ሕዝብ ተጠምቀ እግዚእ ኢየሱስኒ።
Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus also had been baptized and was praying. The sky was opened,
眾百姓都受了洗，耶穌也受了洗。正禱告的時候，天就開了，
3:22
ወእንዘ ይጼሊ ተርኅወ ሰማይ ወወረደ መንፈስ ቅዱስ ላዕሌሁ በአምሳለ ሥጋ ርእየተ ርግብ ጸዓዳ ወመጽአ ቃል እምሰማይ ዘይብል አንተ ውእቱ ወልድየ ዘአፈቅር ወኪያከ ሠመርኩ።
and the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily form like a dove on him; and a voice came out of the sky, saying “You are my beloved Son. In you I am well pleased.”
聖靈降臨在他身上，形狀彷彿鴿子；又有聲音從天上來，說：「你是我的愛子，我喜悅你。」
3:23
ወየአክል ሠላሳ ክረምቱ ለእግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወይመስሎሙ ወልደ ዮሴፍ ውእቱ።
Jesus himself, when he began to teach, was about thirty years old, being the son (as was supposed) of Joseph, the son of Heli,
耶穌開頭傳道，年紀約有三十歲。依人看來，他是約瑟的兒子；約瑟是希里的兒子；
3:24
ወልደ ዔሊ ወልደ ማቲ ወልደ ሌዊ ወልደ ሜልኪ ወልደ ዮና ወልደ ዮሴፍ።
the son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Melchi, the son of Jannai, the son of Joseph,
希里是瑪塔的兒子；瑪塔是利未的兒子；利未是麥基的兒子；麥基是雅拿的兒子；雅拿是約瑟的兒子；
3:25
ወልደ ማታትዩ ወልደ አሞጽ ወልደ ናሆም ወልደ ኤስሎም ወልደ ናጌ።
the son of Mattathias, the son of Amos, the son of Nahum, the son of Esli, the son of Naggai,
約瑟是瑪他提亞的兒子；瑪他提亞是亞摩斯的兒子；亞摩斯是拿鴻的兒子；拿鴻是以斯利的兒子；以斯利是拿該的兒子；
3:26
ወልደ ማአት ወልደ ማታትዩ ወልደ ሴሜይ ወልደ ዮሴፍ ወልደ ዮዳ።
the son of Maath, the son of Mattathias, the son of Semein, the son of Joseph, the son of Judah,
拿該是瑪押的兒子；瑪押是瑪他提亞的兒子；瑪他提亞是西美的兒子；西美是約瑟的兒子；約瑟是猶大的兒子；猶大是約亞拿的兒子；
3:27
ወልደ ዮናን ወልደ ሬስ ወልደ ዘሩባቤል ወልደ ሰላትያል ወልደ ኔሪ።
the son of Joanan, the son of Rhesa, the son of Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, the son of Neri,
約亞拿是利撒的兒子；利撒是所羅巴伯的兒子；所羅巴伯是撒拉鐵的兒子；撒拉鐵是尼利的兒子；尼利是麥基的兒子；
3:28
ወልደ ሜልኪ ወልደ ሐዲ ወልደ ዮሳ ወልደ ቆሳም ወልደ ኤልሞዳም ወልደ ኤር።
the son of Melchi, the son of Addi, the son of Cosam, the son of Elmodam, the son of Er,
麥基是亞底的兒子；亞底是哥桑的兒子；哥桑是以摩當的兒子；以摩當是珥的兒子；珥是約細的兒子；
3:29
ወልደ ዮሴዕ ወልደ አልዓዛር ወልደ ዮራም ወልደ ማጣት ወልደ ሌዊ።
the son of Jose, the son of Eliezer, the son of Jorim, the son of Matthat, the son of Levi,
約細是以利以謝的兒子；以利以謝是約令的兒子；約令是瑪塔的兒子；瑪塔是利未的兒子；
3:30
ወልደ ስምዖን ወልደ ይሁዳ ወልደ ዮሴፍ ወልደ ዮናን ወልደ ኤልያቄም።
the son of Simeon, the son of Judah, the son of Joseph, the son of Jonan, the son of Eliakim,
利未是西緬的兒子；西緬是猶大的兒子；猶大是約瑟的兒子；約瑟是約南的兒子；約南是以利亞敬的兒子；
3:31
ወልደ ሜልያ ወልደ ማይናን ወልደ ማጣት ወልደ ናታን ወልደ ዳዊት።
the son of Melea, the son of Menan, the son of Mattatha, the son of Nathan, the son of David,
以利亞敬是米利亞的兒子；米利亞是買南的兒子；買南是瑪達他的兒子；瑪達他是拿單的兒子；拿單是大衛的兒子；
3:32
ወልደ ዕሤይ ወልደ ኢዮቤድ ወልደ ቦዔዝ ወልደ ሰልሞን ወልደ ነአሶን።
the son of Jesse, the son of Obed, the son of Boaz, the son of Salmon, the son of Nahshon,
大衛是耶西的兒子；耶西是俄備得的兒子；俄備得是波阿斯的兒子；波阿斯是撒門的兒子；撒門是拿順的兒子；
3:33
ወልደ አሚናዳብ ወልደ አራም ወልደ ኦርኒ ወልደ ኤስሮም ወልደ ፋሬስ ወልደ ይሁዳ።
the son of Amminadab, the son of Aram, the son of Hezron, the son of Perez, the son of Judah,
拿順是亞米拿達的兒子；亞米拿達是亞蘭的兒子；亞蘭是希斯崙的兒子；希斯崙是法勒斯的兒子；法勒斯是猶大的兒子；
3:34
ወልደ ያዕቆብ ወልደ ይስሐቅ ወልደ አብርሃም ወልደ ታራ ወልደ ናኮር።
the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, the son of Terah, the son of Nahor,
猶大是雅各的兒子；雅各是以撒的兒子；以撒是亞伯拉罕的兒子；亞伯拉罕是他拉的兒子；他拉是拿鶴的兒子；
3:35
ወልደ ሴሩኅ ወልደ ራግው ወልደ ፋሌቅ ወልደ ኤቦር ወልደ ሳላ።
the son of Serug, the son of Reu, the son of Peleg, the son of Eber, the son of Shelah,
拿鶴是西鹿的兒子；西鹿是拉吳的兒子；拉吳是法勒的兒子；法勒是希伯的兒子；希伯是沙拉的兒子；
3:36
ወልደ ቃይንም ወልደ አርፋክስድ ወልደ ሴም ወልደ ኖኅ ወልደ ላሜሕ።
the son of Cainan, the son of Arphaxad, the son of Shem, the son of Noah, the son of Lamech,
沙拉是該南的兒子；該南是亞法撒的兒子；亞法撒是閃的兒子；閃是挪亞的兒子；挪亞是拉麥的兒子；
3:37
ወልደ ማቱሳላ ወልደ ሄኖክ ወልደ ያሬድ ወልደ መላልኤል ወልደ ቃይናን።
the son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalaleel, the son of Cainan,
拉麥是瑪土撒拉的兒子；瑪土撒拉是以諾的兒子；以諾是雅列的兒子；雅列是瑪勒列的兒子；瑪勒列是該南的兒子；該南是以挪士的兒子；
3:38
ወልደ ሄኖስ ወልደ ሴት ወልደ አዳም ወልደ እግዚአብሔር።
the son of Enos, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.
以挪士是塞特的兒子；塞特是亞當的兒子；亞當是上帝的兒子。
