16:1
ወይቤሎሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ለአርዳኢሁ አሐዱ ብእሲ ባዕል ቦቱ መጋቢ ወአስተዋደይዎ ኀቤሁ ከመ ዘይዘሩ ሎቱ ንዋዮ ።
He also said to his disciples, “There was a certain rich man who had a manager. An accusation was made to him that this man was wasting his possessions.
耶穌又對門徒說：「有一個財主的管家，別人向他主人告他浪費主人的財物。
16:2
ወጸውዖ እግዚኡ ወይቤሎ ምንትኑዝ ዘእሰምዕ በእንቲኣከ እንከሰ አግብእ ሐሳበ ምግብናከ እስመ ኢትከውነኒ እንከ መጋቤ ሊተ ።
He called him, and said to him, ‘What is this that I hear about you? Give an accounting of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’
主人叫他來，對他說：『我聽見你這事怎麼樣呢？把你所經管的交代明白，因你不能再作我的管家。』
16:3
ወኀለየ ውእቱ መጋቢ ወይቤ ምንተ እሬሲ ናሁ ይስዕረኒ እግዚእየ እምግብናየ ሐሪሰሂ ኢይክል ወስኢለሂ አኀፍር ።
“The manager said within himself, ‘What will I do, seeing that my lord is taking away the management position from me? I don’t have strength to dig. I am ashamed to beg.
那管家心裏說：『主人辭我，不用我再作管家，我將來做甚麼？鋤地呢？無力；討飯呢？怕羞。
16:4
አአምር እንከሰ ዘእገብር እምከመ ሰዐረኒ እግዚእየ እምግብናየ ከመ ይትወከፉኒ ውስተ አብያቲሆሙ ።
I know what I will do, so that when I am removed from management, they may receive me into their houses.’
我知道怎麼行，好叫人在我不作管家之後，接我到他們家裏去。』
16:5
ወጸውዖሙ ለእለ ይፈድይዎ ዕዳ ለእግዚኡ ወይቤሎ ለቀዳማዊ ሚመጠን ዕዳ ዘትፈድዮ ለእግዚእየ ወይቤሎ ምእተ በመስፈርተ ባዶስ ቅብዐ ።
Calling each one of his lord’s debtors to him, he said to the first, ‘How much do you owe to my lord?’
於是把欠他主人債的，一個一個地叫了來，問頭一個說：『你欠我主人多少？』
16:6
ወይቤሎ ናሁኬ መጽሐፍከ ንበር ወጸሐፍ ፍጡነ ኀምሳ ላዕሌከ ።
He said, ‘A hundred batos of oil.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.’
他說：『一百簍 油。』管家說：『拿你的帳，快坐下，寫五十。』
16:7
ወይቤሎ ለካልኡሂ አንተሰ ሚመጠነ ትፈድዮ ለእግዚእየ ወይቤሎ ምእተ በመስፈርተ ቆሮስ ሥርናየ ወይቤሎ ናሁኬ መጽሐፍከ ንበር ወጸሐፍ ፍጡነ ሰማንያ ላዕሌከ ።
Then he said to another, ‘How much do you owe?’ He said, ‘A hundred cors of wheat.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty.’
又問一個說：『你欠多少？』他說：『一百石麥子。』管家說：『拿你的帳，寫八十。』
16:8
ወንእዶ እግዚኡ ለመጋቤ ዐመፃ እስመ ከመ ጠቢብ ገብረ እስመ ውሉደ ዝ ዓለም ይጠበቡ እምውሉደ ብርሃን በዓለሞሙ ።
“His lord commended the dishonest manager because he had done wisely, for the children of this world are, in their own generation, wiser than the children of the light.
主人就誇獎這不義的管家做事聰明；因為今世之子，在世事之上，較比光明之子更加聰明。
16:9
ወአነሂ እብለክሙ ግበሩ ለክሙ አዕርክተ እምንዋየ ዓመፃ ከመ አመ የኀልቅ ንዋይክሙ ይትወከፉክሙ እሙንቱሂ ውስተ አብያቲሆሙ ዘለዓለም ።
I tell you, make for yourselves friends by means of unrighteous mammon, so that when you fail, they may receive you into the eternal tents.
我又告訴你們，要藉着那不義的錢財結交朋友，到了錢財無用的時候，他們可以接你們到永存的帳幕裏去。
16:10
ወዘሰ በውኁድ ምእመን በብዙኅኒ ምእመን ውእቱ ወዘሰ በኅዳጥ ዐማፂ በብዙኅኒ ዐመፂ ውእቱ ።
He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.
人在最小的事上忠心，在大事上也忠心；在最小的事上不義，在大事上也不義。
16:11
ወሶበ በንዋየ ዐመፃ ሃይማኖት አልብክሙ በንዋየ ጽድቅ መኑ የአምነክሙ ።
If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
倘若你們在不義的錢財上不忠心，誰還把那真實的錢財託付你們呢？
16:12
ወሶበ በንዋየ ባዕድ ሃይማኖት አልብክሙ ዘዚኣሁ መኑ እንከ ይሁበክሙ ።
If you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?
倘若你們在別人的東西上不忠心，誰還把你們自己的東西給你們呢？
16:13
አልቦ ገብር ዘይክል ተቀንዮ ለክልኤቱ አጋእዝት ወእመአኮ አሐደ ያፈቅር ወካልኦ ይጸልእ ወእመአኮ ለአሐዱ ይትኤዘዝ ወለካልኡ የአቢ ኢትክሉኬ ለእግዚአብሔር ተቀንዮ እንዘ ንወየ ታፈቅሩ ።
No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to one and despise the other. You aren’t able to serve God and Mammon.”
一個僕人不能事奉兩個主；不是惡這個愛那個，就是重這個輕那個。你們不能又事奉上帝，又事奉瑪門。」
16:14
ወሰሚዖሙ ዘንተ ኵሎሙ ፈሪሳውያን ተቃጸብዎ እስመ መፍቀርያነ ንዋይ እሙንቱ ።
The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they scoffed at him.
法利賽人是貪愛錢財的；他們聽見這一切話，就嗤笑耶穌。
16:15
ወይቤሎሙ ፤ አንትሙሰ ትጼደቁ ለዐይነ ሰብእ ወእግዚአብሔር የአምረክሙ ልበክሙ እስመ ዘበኀበ ሰብእ ዐቢይ በኀበ እግዚአብሔር ትሑት ወምኑን ውእቱ ።
He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts. For that which is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.
耶穌對他們說：「你們是在人面前自稱為義的，你們的心，上帝卻知道；因為人所尊貴的，是上帝看為可憎惡的。
16:16
ኦሪትኒ ወነቢያትኒ እስከ ዮሐንስ እምትካት ሰበኩ በእንተ መንግሥተ እግዚአብሔር ወኵሉ ይትገፋዕ በእንቲኣሃ ።
“The law and the prophets were until John. From that time the Good News of God’s Kingdom is preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.
律法和先知到約翰為止，從此上帝國的福音傳開了，人人努力要進去。
16:17
ወባሕቱ ይቀልል ሰማይ ወምድር ይኅልፍ እምትደቅ አሐቲ ቃል እምኦሪት ወእምነቢያት ።
But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tiny stroke of a pen in the law to fall.
天地廢去較比律法的一點一畫落空還容易。
16:18
ወኵሉ ዘይድኅር ብእሲቶ ወያወስብ ካልእተ ዘመወ ወዘኒ ያወስብ ኅድግተ ዘማዊ ውእቱ ወእንተሂ ደኀራ ምታ ለእመ ቀርበት ካልአ ዘመወት ።
“Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery. He who marries one who is divorced from a husband commits adultery.
凡休妻另娶的就是犯姦淫；娶被休之妻的也是犯姦淫。」
16:19
ወሀሎ አሐዱ ብእሲ ባዕል ወይለብስ ሜላተ ወለየ ወልብሰ ቢሶስ ወቀጠንተ አልባስ ወይትፌሣሕ ወይትፌጋዕ ኵሎ አሚረ ።
“Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, living in luxury every day.
「有一個財主穿着紫色袍和細麻布衣服，天天奢華宴樂。
16:20
ወሀሎ አሐዱ ነዳይ ዘስሙ አልዓዛር ግዱፍ ውስተ ዴዴሁ ለባዕል ወይሰክብ እንዘ ይደዊ በሕማመ ቍስል ።
A certain beggar, named Lazarus, was taken to his gate, full of sores,
又有一個討飯的，名叫拉撒路，渾身生瘡，被人放在財主門口，
16:21
ወይፈቱ ይጽገብ እምፍርፋራት ዘይወድቅ እማእዱ ለባዕል ወከለባትሂ ይመጽኡ ወይልሕሱ ቍሰሊሁ ።
and desiring to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table. Yes, even the dogs came and licked his sores.
要得財主桌子上掉下來的零碎充飢，並且狗來舔他的瘡。
16:22
ወእምዝ ሞተ ዝኩ ነዳይ ወወሰድዎ መላእክት ውስተ ሕፅነ አብርሃም ወሞተ ባዕልኒ ወተቀብረ ።
The beggar died, and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.
後來那討飯的死了，被天使帶去放在亞伯拉罕的懷裏。財主也死了，並且埋葬了。
16:23
ወበሲኦል አንሥአ አዕይንቲሁ እንዘ ሀሎ ውስተ ደይን ወርእዮ ለአብርሃም እምርኁቅ ወለአልዓዛር ውስተ ሕፅኑ ።
In Hades, he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far off, and Lazarus at his bosom.
他在陰間受痛苦，舉目遠遠地望見亞伯拉罕，又望見拉撒路在他懷裏，
16:24
ወጸውዐ ወይቤ አባ አብርሃም ተሣሀለኒ ወፈንዎ ለአልዓዛር ከመ ይጥማዕ ጽንፈ አጽባዕቱ ማየ ወያቍርረኒ ልሳንየ እስመ ሐመምኩ በዛቲ እሳት ።
He cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue! For I am in anguish in this flame.’
就喊着說：『我祖亞伯拉罕哪，可憐我吧！打發拉撒路來，用指頭尖蘸點水，涼涼我的舌頭；因為我在這火焰裏，極其痛苦。』
16:25
ወይቤሎ አብርሃም ተዘከር ወልድየ ዘከመ ፈጋዕከ ወተፈሣሕከ በሕይወትከ ወአልዓዛርሰ ከማሁ ክመ በተጽናስ ወይእዜሰ ከማሁ ክመ ውእቱ ይትፌሣሕ በዝየ ወአንተሰ ተሐምም ።
“But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that you, in your lifetime, received your good things, and Lazarus, in the same way, bad things. But here he is now comforted and you are in anguish.
亞伯拉罕說：『兒啊，你該回想你生前享過福，拉撒路也受過苦；如今他在這裏得安慰，你倒受痛苦。
16:26
ወምስለ ዝንቱ ኵሉ ጸድፍ ዐቢይ ይከልአነ ማእከሌነ ወማእከሌክሙ ከመ እለሂ ይፈቅዱ እምለፌ ይኅልፉ ኢይክሀሉ መጺአ ኀቤክሙ ወእለሂ መንገሌክሙ ኢይዕድዉ ኀቤነ ።
Besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, that those who want to pass from here to you are not able, and that no one may cross over from there to us.’
不但這樣，並且在你我之間，有深淵限定，以致人要從這邊過到你們那邊是不能的；要從那邊過到我們這邊也是不能的。』
16:27
ወይቤሎ እስእለከ አባ አብርሃም ትፈንዎ ለአልዓዛር ቤተ አቡየ ።
“He said, ‘I ask you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house—
財主說：『我祖啊！既是這樣，求你打發拉撒路到我父家去；
16:28
እስመ ሀለዉ ኀምስቱ አኀውየ ይንግሮሙ ወይስምዑ ወኢይምጽኡ እሙንቱሂ ውስተ ዛቲ ብሔረ ሕማም ።
for I have five brothers—that he may testify to them, so they won’t also come into this place of torment.’
因為我還有五個弟兄，他可以對他們作見證，免得他們也來到這痛苦的地方。』
16:29
ወይቤሎ አብርሃም ቦሙ ሙሴ ወነቢያት ኪያሆሙ ለይስምዑ ።
“But Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets. Let them listen to them.’
亞伯拉罕說：『他們有摩西和先知的話可以聽從。』
16:30
ወይቤሎ አልቦ አባ አብርሃም አሐዱ እምነ ምዉታን ለእመ ኢሖረ ኀቤሆሙ ወለእመ ኢነገሮሙ ኢየአምኑ ወኢይኔስሑ ።
“He said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’
他說：『我祖亞伯拉罕哪，不是的，若有一個從死裏復活的，到他們那裏去的，他們必要悔改。』
16:31
ወይቤሎ አብርሃም ለእመሰኬ ሙሴሃ ወነቢያተ ኢይሰምዑ እመሂቦ ዘተንሥአ እምዉታን ኢይሰምዕዎ ወኢየአምንዎ ።
“He said to him, ‘If they don’t listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one rises from the dead.’”
亞伯拉罕說：『若不聽從摩西和先知的話，就是有一個從死裏復活的，他們也是不聽勸。』」
