📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

And he brought me into the temple, in which he measured the ailam: six cubits the breadth on this side, and six cubits the width of the ailam on that side.
And the width of the gateway, ten cubits; and the shoulder-pieces of the gateway, five cubits on this side and five cubits on that; and he measured its length, forty cubits, and the width, twenty cubits.
And he went into the inner court and measured the ail of the doorway, two cubits, and the doorway, six cubits, and the shoulder-pieces of the doorway, seven cubits on this side and seven cubits on that.
And the side-chambers, chamber upon chamber, thirty and three, twice; and a space in the wall of the house at the side-chambers round about, so that there might be for those taking hold to see, so that they should not at all touch the walls of the house.
And the width of the upper part of the side-chambers was according to the addition from the wall toward the upper part round about the house, so that it might widen out above; and from the lower ones they would go up to the upper stories, and from the middle ones to the third stories.
And the doors of the chambers were toward the remaining space: the one door toward the north, and the one door toward the south; and the width of the open light of the remaining space, five cubits in breadth round about.
And the partition facing the remaining space, toward the sea, seventy cubits; the breadth of the partition wall, five cubits in width round about; and its length, ninety cubits.
And he measured opposite the house, a length of a hundred cubits; and the remaining spaces and the partitions and their walls, a length of a hundred cubits.
And he measured the length of the partition facing the remaining space behind that house, and the remaining spaces on this side and on that, a hundred cubits in length; and the temple and the corners and the outer ailam,
panelled; and the windows latticed, with light-openings round about for the three stories, so as to peer through; and the house and what was near it were wainscoted round about, and the floor; and from the floor up to the windows; and the windows opened out in three folds so as to peer through.

And there were two doorways for the temple and for the holy place.
And there was carving upon them, and upon the doorways of the temple, cherubim and palm trees, according to the carving of the holy place; and choice timbers facing the ailam outside.
And hidden windows; and he measured on this side and on that, up to the roofings of the ailam; and the side-chambers of the house were joined together.
