ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

In its shoots all the birds of the heaven made their nests, and under its branches all the beasts of the plain brought forth their young, and in its shade dwelt every multitude of nations.
Such cypresses were not in the paradise of God, and pines were not like its shoots, and firs were not like its branches; no tree in the paradise of God was likened to it in its beauty.
And strangers, pestilent men from the nations, utterly destroyed him and cast him down upon the mountains; in all the ravines his branches fell, and his trunks were shattered in every plain of the land; and all the peoples of the nations came down from his shelter and razed him to the ground.
so that none of the trees by the water may exalt themselves in their stature, nor set their top into the midst of the clouds, nor any that drink water stand up in their height toward them; for they have all been given over to death, to the depth of the earth, in the midst of the sons of men, with those who go down to the pit.
Thus says the Lord, the Lord: In the day he went down to Hades, the deep mourned for him; and I stayed her rivers and held back the abundance of water, and Lebanon grew dark over him, and all the trees of the plain fainted because of him.
At the sound of his fall the nations shook, when they brought him down to Hades with those who go down to the pit; and all the trees of delight in the earth comforted him, and the choice trees of Lebanon, all that drink water.
For they too went down with him to Hades, among those slain by the sword; and his seed, those who dwelt under his shelter, perished in the midst of their life.
To whom were you likened? Go down and be brought down with the trees of delight to the depth of the earth; you shall lie in the midst of the uncircumcised, with those slain by the sword. So it is with Pharaoh and all the multitude of his strength, says the Lord, the Lord.
