📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

and you shall say: Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord to the mountains and to the hills and to the ravines and to the glens: Behold, I am bringing a sword upon you, and your high places shall be utterly destroyed.
In all your habitation the cities shall be laid waste and the high places shall be obliterated, so that your altars may be utterly destroyed and your idols broken and your sacred precincts taken away.
then those of you who escape shall remember me among the nations where they were taken captive; for there I have sworn against their heart that goes whoring away from me and against their eyes that go whoring after their practices; and they shall beat their faces because of all their abominations.
Thus says the Lord: Clap with your hand and stamp with your foot and say, Aha, aha! over all the abominations of the house of Israel; by sword and by death and by famine they shall fall.
He who is near shall fall by the sword, and he who is far off shall die by death, and he who is beset shall be finished off by famine; and I will complete my anger upon them.
And you shall know that I am the Lord, when your slain are in the midst of your idols round about your altars, upon every high hill and under every shady tree, where they gave there a fragrance of sweet savour to all their idols.
And I will stretch out my hand against them and will make the land a desolation and a ruin, from the wilderness of Deblatha, out of all their habitation; and you shall know that I am the Lord.
