ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.

20:1
And Paschor son of Emmer, the priest — and he was appointed as chief officer of the house of the Lord — heard Jeremiah prophesying these words.
And he struck him and put him into the dungeon that was at the gate of the separated house of the upper chamber, which was in the house of the Lord.
And Paschor brought Jeremiah out of the dungeon, and Jeremiah said to him: The Lord has called your name not Paschor, but rather Exile.
For thus says the Lord: Behold, I am giving you over to exile together with all your friends; and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and your eyes shall see it. And I will give you and all Judah into the hands of the king of Babylon, and they shall deport them and cut them down with swords.
And I will give all the strength of this city and all her labors and all the treasures of the king of Judah into the hands of his enemies, and they shall bring them to Babylon.
And you and all who dwell in your house shall go into captivity; and in Babylon you shall die, and there you shall be buried, you and all your friends to whom you prophesied lies.
You deceived me, O Lord, and I was deceived; you prevailed and you were able; I became a laughingstock all day long; I continued being mocked.
For with my bitter word I will laugh; I will cry out treachery and misery; for the word of the Lord became a reproach to me and a mockery all my day.
And I said: I will not name the name of the Lord, nor will I speak any more in his name. But it became like a burning fire, blazing in my bones; and I am worn out on every side and cannot bear it.
For I heard the slander of many gathering around: Set upon him, and let us all set upon him! All the men who were his friends: Watch his intent, whether he may be deceived, and we shall prevail against him and take our vengeance on him.
But the Lord is with me like a mighty warrior; therefore they pursued but were not able to understand; they were greatly ashamed, for they did not understand their own dishonors, which shall never be forgotten.
O Lord, who test what is just, who understand kidneys and hearts, may I see the vengeance from you upon them, for to you have I revealed my defense.
Sing to the Lord, praise him, for he has delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers.
Cursed be the day on which I was born in it; the day on which my mother bore me, let it not be a day to wish for.
Cursed be the man who brought my father the good news, saying: A male child has been born to you—and who rejoiced.
Let that man be like the cities which the Lord overthrew in wrath and did not relent; let him hear an outcry in the morning and a war shout at noon,
because he did not kill me in my mother's womb, so that my mother would have been my grave and her womb an everlasting conception.
Why was it that I came out of the womb, only to see toils and pains, and my days have been spent out in shame?
