16:1
ወመጽኡ ፈሪሳውያን ወሰዱቃውያን እንዘ ያሜክርዎ ወሰአልዎ ትእምርተ እምሰማይ ያርእዮሙ።
The Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing him, asked him to show them a sign from heaven.
法利賽人和撒都該人來試探耶穌，請他從天上顯個神蹟給他們看。
16:2
ወአውሥአ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወይቤሎሙ እምከመ መስየ ወኮነ ሕዋየ ትብሉ ጽሕወ ብሔር እስመ ያቅየሐይሕ ሰማይ።
But he answered them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’
耶穌回答說：「晚上天發紅，你們就說：『天必要晴。』
16:3
ወእምከመ ጸብሐ ትብሉ ዮምሰኬ ይዘንም እስመ ያቅሐይሕ ሰማይ ድሙነ ኦ! መደልዋን ለገጸ ሰማይኑ ተአምሩ ፈክሮቶ ወተአምረ መዋዕልሰ እፎ ኢተአምሩ።
In the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but you can’t discern the signs of the times!
早晨天發紅，又發黑，你們就說：『今日必有風雨。』你們知道分辨天上的氣色，倒不能分辨這時候的神蹟。
16:4
ወይቤሎሙ ትውልድ ዕሉት ወዘማ ትእምርተ ተኀሥሥ ወትእምርትሰ ኢይትወሀባ ዘእንበለ ትእምርተ ዮናስ ነቢይ ወእምዝ ኀደጎሙ ወሖረ።
An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and there will be no sign given to it, except the sign of the prophet Jonah.” He left them and departed.
一個邪惡淫亂的世代求神蹟，除了約拿的神蹟以外，再沒有神蹟給他看。」耶穌就離開他們去了。
16:5
ወበጺሖሙ አርዳኢሁ ማዕዶተ ረስዑ ነሢአ ኅብስት።
The disciples came to the other side and had forgotten to take bread.
門徒渡到那邊去，忘了帶餅。
16:6
ወይቤሎሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ዑቁ ወተዐቀቡ እምብኁኦሙ ለፈሪሳውያን ወሰዱቃውያን።
Jesus said to them, “Take heed and beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”
耶穌對他們說：「你們要謹慎，防備法利賽人和撒都該人的酵。」
16:7
ወኀለዩ በበይናቲሆሙ እንዘ ይብሉ እስመሁ እንጋ ኅብስተ ኢነሣእነ ይብለነ።
They reasoned among themselves, saying, “We brought no bread.”
門徒彼此議論說：「這是因為我們沒有帶餅吧。」
16:8
ወአእመሮሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወይቤሎሙ ምንተ ትኄልዩ በበይናቲክሙ ኦ ሕጹጻነ ሃይማኖት እስመሁ ኅብስት አልብክሙ።
Jesus, perceiving it, said, “Why do you reason among yourselves, you of little faith, because you have brought no bread?
耶穌看出來，就說：「你們這小信的人，為甚麼因為沒有餅彼此議論呢？
16:9
ዓዲሁ ኢትሌብዉኑ ወኢትዜከሩ ዘአመ ኀምስ ኅብስት እለ ለኀምሳ ምእት ብእሲ ሚመጠነ መዛርዐ አግኀሥክሙ ወይቤልዎ ዐሠርተ ወክልኤተ።
Don’t you yet perceive or remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up,
你們還不明白嗎？不記得那五個餅分給五千人、又收拾了多少籃子的零碎嗎？
16:10
ወአመ ሰብዑ ኅብስት እለ ለአርብዓ ምእት ብእሲ ሚመጠነ አስፈሬዳተ አግኀሥክሙ ወይቤልዎ ሰብዑ።
or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many baskets you took up?
也不記得那七個餅分給四千人、又收拾了多少筐子的零碎嗎？
16:11
እፎ ዘኢትሌብዉ ከመ አኮ በእንተ ኅብስት ዘእቤለክሙ ዑቁ ወተዐቀቡ እምነ ብኁኦሙ ለፈሪሳውያን ወሰዱቃውያን።
How is it that you don’t perceive that I didn’t speak to you concerning bread? But beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”
我對你們說：『要防備法利賽人和撒都該人的酵』，這話不是指着餅說的，你們怎麼不明白呢？」
16:12
ወእምዝ ለበዉ አርዳኢሁ ከመ አኮ ዘይቤሎሙ በእንተ ብኅአተ ኅብስት ይትዐቀቡ አላ እምነ ትምህርቶሙ ለፈሪሳውያን ወሰዱቃውያን።
Then they understood that he didn’t tell them to beware of the yeast of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
門徒這才曉得他說的不是叫他們防備餅的酵，乃是防備法利賽人和撒都該人的教訓。
16:13
ወበጺሖ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ብሔረ ቂሳርያ ዘፊልጶስ ተስእሎሙ ለአርዳኢሁ እንዘ ይብል መነ ይብልዎ ሰብእ ለወልደ ዕጓለ እመሕያው።
Now when Jesus came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
耶穌到了凱撒利亞‧腓立比的境內，就問門徒說：「人說我－ －人子是誰？」
16:14
ወይቤልዎ ቦ እለ ይብሉከ ዮሐንስሃ መጥምቀ ወካልኣን ይብሉከ ኤልያስሃ ወመንፈቆሙ ኤርምያስሃ ወእመአኮ አሐዱ እምነቢያት ቀደምት።
They said, “Some say John the Baptizer, some, Elijah, and others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
他們說：「有人說是施洗的約翰；有人說是以利亞；又有人說是耶利米或是先知裏的一位。」
16:15
ወይቤሎሙ አንትሙሰኬ መነ ትብሉኒ።
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
耶穌說：「你們說我是誰？」
16:16
ወአውሥአ ስምዖን ጴጥሮስ ወይቤ አንተ ውእቱ ክርስቶስ ወልደ እግዚአብሔር ሕያው።
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
西門‧彼得回答說：「你是基督，是永生上帝的兒子。」
16:17
ወአውሥአ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወይቤሎ ብፁዕ አንተ ስምዖን ወልደ ዮና እስመ ኢከሠተ ለከ ዘሥጋ ወደም አላ አቡየ ዘበሰማያት።
Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
耶穌對他說：「西門‧巴‧約拿，你是有福的！因為這不是屬血肉的指示你的，乃是我在天上的父指示的。
16:18
ወአንሰ እብለከ ከመ አንተ ኰኵሕ ወዲበ ዛቲ ኰኵሕ አሐንጻ ለቤተ ክርስቲያንየ ወአናቅጸ ሲኦል ኢይኄይልዋ።
I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.
我還告訴你，你是彼得，我要把我的教會建造在這磐石上；陰間的權柄 不能勝過他。
16:19
ወእሁበከ መራኁተ መንግሥተ ሰማያት ወዘአሰርከ በምድር ይከውን እሱረ በሰማያት ወዘፈታሕከ በምድር ይከውን ፍቱሐ በሰማያት።
I will give to you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven; and whatever you release on earth will have been released in heaven.”
我要把天國的鑰匙給你，凡你在地上所捆綁的，在天上也要捆綁；凡你在地上所釋放的，在天上也要釋放。」
16:20
ወእምዝ ገሠጾሙ ለአርዳኢሁ ከመ ኢይንግሩ ወኢለመኑሂ ከመ ውእቱ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ።
Then he commanded the disciples that they should tell no one that he was Jesus the Christ.
當下，耶穌囑咐門徒，不可對人說他是基督。
16:21
ወእምአሜሃ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ አኀዘ ይንግሮሙ ለአርዳኢሁ ከመ ሀለዎ ይሑር ኢየሩሳሌም ወብዙኀ ያሐምምዎ ረበናት ወሊቃነ ካህናት ወጸሐፍት ወይትቀተል ወበሣልስት ዕለት ይትነሣእ።
From that time, Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.
從此，耶穌才指示門徒，他必須上耶路撒冷去，受長老、祭司長、文士許多的苦，並且被殺，第三日復活。
16:22
ወተሰጥዎ ጴጥሮስ ወአኀዘ ይክልኦ እንዘ ይብል ሐሰ ለከ እግዚኦ ይኩን ላዕሌከ ዝንቱ።
Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, “Far be it from you, Lord! This will never be done to you.”
彼得就拉着他，勸他說：「主啊，萬不可如此！這事必不臨到你身上。」
16:23
ወተመዪጦ ይቤሎ ለጴጥሮስ ሑር እምድኅሬየ ሰይጣን እስመ ኮንከ ማዕቅፍየ ሊተ እስመ ኢትኄሊ ዘእግዚአብሔር ዘእንበለ ዘሰብእ።
But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me, for you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of men.”
耶穌轉過來，對彼得說：「撒但，退我後邊去吧！你是絆我腳的；因為你不體貼上帝的意思，只體貼人的意思。」
16:24
ወእምዝ ይቤሎሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ለአርዳኢሁ ዘይፈቅድ ይትልወኒ ይጽልኣ ለነፍሱ ወያጥብዕ ወይንሣእ መስቀለ ሞቱ ወይትልወኒ።
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.
於是耶穌對門徒說：「若有人要跟從我，就當捨己，背起他的十字架來跟從我。
16:25
ወዘይፈቅድ ያድኅና ለነፍሱ ለይግድፋ ወዘሰ ገደፋ ለነፍሱ በእንቲኣየ ይረክባ።
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life for my sake will find it.
因為，凡要救自己生命 的，必喪掉生命；凡為我喪掉生命的，必得着生命。
16:26
ወምንት ይበቍዖ ለሰብእ ለእመ ኵሎ ዓለመ ረብኀ ወነፍሶ ኀጕለ ወምንተ እምወሀበ ሰብእ ቤዛሃ ለነፍሱ።
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life?
人若賺得全世界，賠上自己的生命，有甚麼益處呢？人還能拿甚麼換生命呢？
16:27
እስመ ሀለዎ ለወልደ ዕጓለ እመሕያው ይምጻእ በስብሐተ አቡሁ ምስለ መላእክቲሁ ወአሜሃ የዐስዮ ለኵሉ በከመ ምግባሩ።
For the Son of Man will come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will give to everyone according to his deeds.
人子要在他父的榮耀裏，同着眾使者降臨；那時候，他要照各人的行為報應各人。
16:28
አማን እብለክሙ ቦ እምእለ ሀለዉ ይቀውሙ ዝየ እለ ኢይጥዕምዎ ለሞት እስከ አመ ይሬእይዎ ለወልደ ዕጓለ እመሕያው እንዘ ይመጽእ በስብሐተ አቡሁ።
Most certainly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste of death until they see the Son of Man coming in his Kingdom.”
我實在告訴你們，站在這裏的，有人在沒嘗死味以前必看見人子降臨在他的國裏。」
