5:1

ወርእዮ ብዙኃነ አሕዛበ ዐርገ ውስተ ደብር ወነበረ ወቀርቡ ኀቤሁ አርዳኢሁ።

Seeing the multitudes, he went up onto the mountain. When he had sat down, his disciples came to him.

耶穌看見這許多的人，就上了山，既已坐下，門徒到他跟前來，

5:2

ወከሠተ አፉሁ ወመሀሮሙ እንዘ ይብል።

He opened his mouth and taught them, saying,

他就開口教訓他們，說：

5:3

ብፁዓን ነዳያን በመንፈስ እስመ ሎሙ ይእቲ መንግሥተ ሰማያት።

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

虛心的人有福了！因為天國是他們的。

5:4

ብፁዓን እለ ይላሕዉ ይእዜ እስመ እሙንቱ ይትፌሥሑ።

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

哀慟的人有福了！因為他們必得安慰。

5:5

ብፁዓን የዋሃን እስመ እሙንቱ ይወርስዋ ለምድር።

Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.

溫柔的人有福了！因為他們必承受地土。

5:6

ብፁዓን እለ ይርኅቡ ወይጸምኡ በእንተ ጽድቅ፤ እስመ እሙንቱ ይጸግቡ።

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

飢渴慕義的人有福了！因為他們必得飽足。

5:7

ብፁዓን መሓርያን እስመ ሎሙኒ ይምሕርዎሙ።

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

憐恤人的人有福了！因為他們必蒙憐恤。

5:8

ብፁዓን ንጹሓነ ልብ እስመ እሙንቱ ይሬእይዎ ለእግዚአብሔር።

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

清心的人有福了！因為他們必得見上帝。

5:9

ብፁዓን ገባርያነ ሰላም እስመ እሙንቱ ውሉደ እግዚአብሔር ይሰመዩ።

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.

使人和睦的人有福了！因為他們必稱為上帝的兒子。

5:10

ብፁዓን እለ ይሰደዱ በእንተ ጽድቅ እስመ ሎሙ ይእቲ መንግሥተ ሰማያት።

Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

為義受逼迫的人有福了！因為天國是他們的。

5:11

ብፁዓን አንትሙ ሶበ ይሰድዱክሙ ወይዘነጕጉክሙ ወይነቡ ኵሎ እኩየ ላዕሌክሙ እንዘ ይሔስዉ በእንቲኣየ።

“Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

「人若因我辱罵你們，逼迫你們，捏造各樣壞話毀謗你們，你們就有福了！

5:12

ተፈሥሑ ወተሐሠዩ እስመ ብዙኅ ዕሴትክሙ በሰማያት እስመ ከመዝ ሰደድዎሙ ለነቢያት እለ እምቅድሜክሙ።

Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

應當歡喜快樂，因為你們在天上的賞賜是大的。在你們以前的先知，人也是這樣逼迫他們。」

5:13

አንትሙ ውእቱ ጼዉ ለምድር ወእመሰ ጼው ለስሐ በምንትኑ እንከ ይቄስምዎ አልቦኬ እንከ ዘይበቍዕ ዘእንበለ ዘይገድፍዎ አፍኣ ወይከይድዎ ሰብእ በእገሪሆሙ።

“You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, with what will it be salted? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men.

「你們是世上的鹽。鹽若失了味，怎能叫它再鹹呢？以後無用，不過丟在外面，被人踐踏了。

5:14

አንትሙ ውእቱ ብርሃኑ ለዓለም ኢትክል ተከብቶ ሀገር እንተ ተሐንጸት መልዕልተ ደብር።

“You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden.

你們是世上的光。城造在山上是不能隱藏的。

5:15

ወኢያኀትዉ ማኅቶተ ከመ ያንብርዋ ታሕተ ከፈር አላ ያነብርዋ ዲበ ተቅዋማ ወታበርህ ለኵሎሙ እለ ውስተ ቤት።

Neither do you light a lamp and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house.

人點燈，不放在斗底下，是放在燈臺上，就照亮一家的人。

5:16

ከማሁኬ ይብራህ ብርሃንክሙ በቅድመ ሰብእ ከመ ይርአዩ ምግባሪክሙ ሠናየ ወይሰብሕዎ ለአቡክሙ ዘበሰማያት።

Even so, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

你們的光也當這樣照在人前，叫他們看見你們的好行為，便將榮耀歸給你們在天上的父。」

5:17

ኢይምሰልክሙ ዘመጻእኩ እስዐሮሙ ለኦሪት ወለነቢያት ኢመጻእኩ እስዐሮሙ ዘእንበለ ዳእሙ ከመ እፈጽሞሙ።

“Don’t think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I didn’t come to destroy, but to fulfill.

「莫想我來要廢掉律法和先知。我來不是要廢掉，乃是要成全。

5:18

አማን እብለክሙ እስከ አመ የኀልፍ ሰማይ ወምድር የውጣ እንተ አሐቲ ኅርመታ ወአሐቲ ቅርፀታ ኢተኀልፍ እምኦሪት ወእምነቢያት እስከ ሶበ ኵሉ ይከውን።

For most certainly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished.

我實在告訴你們，就是到天地都廢去了，律法的一點一畫也不能廢去，都要成全。

5:19

ዘኬ ፈትሐ አሐተ እምእላ ትእዛዛት እንተ ተሐጽጽ ወይሜህር ከመዝ ለሰብእ ሕጹጸ ይከውን በመንግሥተ ሰማያት ወዘሰ ይሜህር ወይገብር ውእቱ ዐቢየ ይከውን በመንግሥተ ሰማያት።

Therefore, whoever shall break one of these least commandments and teach others to do so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven; but whoever shall do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

所以，無論何人廢掉這誡命中最小的一條，又教訓人這樣做，他在天國要稱為最小的。但無論何人遵行這誡命，又教訓人遵行，他在天國要稱為大的。

5:20

ናሁ እብለክሙ ከመ ለእመ ኢፈድፈደ ጽድቅክሙ ፈድፋደ እምጸሐፍት ወእምፈሪሳውያን ኢትበውኡ ውስተ መንግሥተ ሰማያት።

For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, there is no way you will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

我告訴你們，你們的義若不勝於文士和法利賽人的義，斷不能進天國。」

5:21

ሰማዕክሙ ዘተብህለ ለቀደምትክሙ ኢትቅትል ነፍሰ ወዘሰ ቀተለ ረስሐ ውእቱ ለኵነኔ።

“You have heard that it was said to the ancient ones, ‘You shall not murder;’ and ‘Whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’

「你們聽見有吩咐古人的話，說：『不可殺人』；又說：『凡殺人的難免受審判。』

5:22

ወአንሰ እብለክሙ ኵሉ ዘያምዕዕ እኅዋሁ በከንቱ ረስሐ ውእቱ ለኵነኔ ወዘሂ ይቤሎ ለእኍሁ ኅሡር ዘፀርቅ ረስሐ ወይትኴነን በዐውድ ወዘሰ ይቤሎ አብድ ረስሐ ውእቱ ወይትኴነን በእሳተ ገሃነም።

But I tell you that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause will be in danger of the judgment. Whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ will be in danger of the council. Whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of Gehenna.

只是我告訴你們，凡向弟兄動怒的，難免受審判；凡罵弟兄是拉加的，難免公會的審判；凡罵弟兄是魔利的，難免地獄的火。

5:23

ወእምከመኬ ታበውእ መባአከ ውስተ ምሥዋዕ ወበህየ ተዘከርከ ከመ ቦ እኁከ ዘተሓየሰከ።

“If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you,

所以，你在祭壇上獻禮物的時候，若想起弟兄向你懷怨，

5:24

ኅድግ ህየ መባአከ ቅድመ ምሥዋዕ ወሑር ቅድመ ተኳነን ምስለ እኁከ ወእምዝ ገቢአከ አብእ መባአከ።

leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

就把禮物留在壇前，先去同弟兄和好，然後來獻禮物。

5:25

ኩን ጠቢበ ለዕድውከ ፍጡነ እንዘ ሀሎከ ምስሌሁ ውስተ ፍኖት ከመ ኢይመጡከ ዕድውከ ለመኰንን ወመኰንን ይሜጥወከ ለወዓሊሁ ወወዓሊሁኒ ይሞቅሐከ።

Agree with your adversary quickly while you are with him on the way; lest perhaps the prosecutor deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be cast into prison.

你同告你的對頭還在路上，就趕緊與他和息，恐怕他把你送給審判官，審判官交付衙役，你就下在監裏了。

5:26

አማን እብለከ ከመ ኢትወፅእ እምህየ እስከ ሶበ ትሴልጥ ደኃሪተ ገመስ ዘላዕሌከ።

Most certainly I tell you, you shall by no means get out of there until you have paid the last penny.

我實在告訴你，若有一文錢沒有還清，你斷不能從那裏出來。」

5:27

ሰማዕክሙ ዘተብህለ ለቀደምትክሙ ኢትዘሙ።

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery;’

「你們聽見有話說：『不可姦淫。』

5:28

ወአንሰ እብለክሙ ኵሉ ዘርእያ ለብእሲት ወፈተዋ ወድአ ዘመወ ባቲ በልቡ።

but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

只是我告訴你們，凡看見婦女就動淫念的，這人心裏已經與她犯姦淫了。

5:29

እመኒ ዐይንከ እንተ የማን ታስሕተከ ምልሓ ወግድፋ እምላዕሌከ እስመ ይኄይሰከ ነቋረከ ትባእ ውስተ መንግሥተ ሰማያት እምትባእ ምስለ ክልኤሆን አዕይንቲከ ውስተ እሳተ ገሃነም።

If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna.

若是你的右眼叫你跌倒，就剜出來丟掉，寧可失去百體中的一體，不叫全身丟在地獄裏。

5:30

ወእመኒ እዴከ እንተ የማን ታስሕተከ ምትራ ወግድፋ እምላዕሌከ እስመ ይኄይሰከ ይትኀጐል አሐዱ እምነ አባልከ እምኵሉ ሥጋከ ይትወደይ ውስተ እሳተ ገሃነም ወእመኒ እግርከ ዘየማን ታስሕተከ ምትራ ወግድፋ እምላዕሌከ እስመ ይኄይሰከ ሐንካሰከ ትባእ ውስተ መንግሥተ ሰማያት እምትባእ ምስለ ክልኤሆን እገሪከ ውስተ እሳተ ገሃነም።

If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna.

若是右手叫你跌倒，就砍下來丟掉，寧可失去百體中的一體，不叫全身下入地獄。」

5:31

ሰማዕክሙ ዘተብህለ ለቀደምትክሙ ኵሉ ዘይድኅር ብእሲቶ ይጽሐፍ ላቲ መጽሐፈ ኅድጋቲሃ ወየሀባ ወይድኀራ።

“It was also said, ‘Whoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorce,’

「又有話說：『人若休妻，就當給她休書。』

5:32

ወአንሰ እብለክሙ ኵሉ ዘይድኅር ብእሲቶ ዘእንበለ ትዘሙ በላዕሌሁ ለሊሁ ረሰያ ዘማ ወዘሂ ኅድገተ አውሰበ ዘመወ።

but I tell you that whoever puts away his wife, except for the cause of sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is put away commits adultery.

只是我告訴你們，凡休妻的，若不是為淫亂的緣故，就是叫她作淫婦了；人若娶這被休的婦人，也是犯姦淫了。」

5:33

ወካዕበ ሰማዕክሙ ዘከመ ተብህለ ለቀደምትክሙ ኢትምሐሉ በሐሰት ወባሕቱ አግብኡ መሐላክሙ ለእግዚአብሔር።

“Again you have heard that it was said to the ancient ones, ‘You shall not make false vows, but shall perform to the Lord your vows,’

「你們又聽見有吩咐古人的話，說：『不可背誓，所起的誓總要向主謹守。』

5:34

ወአንሰ እብለክሙ ኢትምሐሉ ግሙራ ኢ በሰማይ እስመ መንበሩ ለእግዚአብሔር ውእቱ።

but I tell you, don’t swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God;

只是我告訴你們，甚麼誓都不可起。不可指着天起誓，因為天是上帝的座位；

5:35

ወኢ በምድር እስመ መከየደ እገሪሁ ይእቲ ወኢ በኢየሩሳሌም እስመ ሀገሩ ይእቲ ለንጉሥ ዐቢይ።

nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.

不可指着地起誓，因為地是他的腳凳；也不可指着耶路撒冷起誓，因為耶路撒冷是大君的京城；

5:36

ወኢ በርእስክሙ ኢትምሐሉ ወኢ በሥዕርተ ርእስክሙ እስመ ኢትክሉ አሐተ እምሥዕርተ ርእስክሙ ኢ አጻዕድዎ ወኢ አጽልሞ።

Neither shall you swear by your head, for you can’t make one hair white or black.

又不可指着你的頭起誓，因為你不能使一根頭髮變黑變白了。

5:37

ባሕቱ ይኩን ነገርክሙ እመሂ እወ እወ ወእመሂ አልቦ አልቦ ወፈድፋደሰ እምእሉ እምእኩይ ውእቱ።

But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ be ‘No.’ Whatever is more than these is of the evil one.

你們的話，是，就說是；不是，就說不是；若再多說就是出於那惡者。」

5:38

ሰማዕክሙ ዘተብህለ ለቀደምትክሙ ዐይን ቤዛ ዐይን ወስን ቤዛ ስን።

“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’

「你們聽見有話說：『以眼還眼，以牙還牙。』

5:39

ወአንሰኬ እብለክሙ ኢትትቃወምዎ ለእኩይ በእኩይ ወለዘሂ ጸፍዐከ መልታሕቴከ እንተ የማን ሚጥ ሎቱ ካልእታሂ።

But I tell you, don’t resist him who is evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.

只是我告訴你們，不要與惡人作對。有人打你的右臉，連左臉也轉過來由他打；

5:40

ወለዘሂ ይፈቅድ ይትዐገልከ መልበሰከ ኅድግ ሎቱ ክዳነከሂ።

If anyone sues you to take away your coat, let him have your cloak also.

有人想要告你，要拿你的裏衣，連外衣也由他拿去；

5:41

ወለዘሂ ዐበጠከ አሐደ ምዕራፈ ሑር ምስሌሁ ክልኤተ ምዕራፈ።

Whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.

有人強逼你走一里路，你就同他走二里；

5:42

ወለኵሉ ዘሰአለከ ሀቦ ወለዘሂ ይፈቅድ እምኔከ ይትለቃሕ ኢትክልኦ።

Give to him who asks you, and don’t turn away him who desires to borrow from you.

有求你的，就給他；有向你借貸的，不可推辭。」

5:43

ሰማዕክሙ ዘተብህለ «አፍቅር ቢጸከ ወጽላእ ጸላኢከ።»

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’

「你們聽見有話說：『當愛你的鄰舍，恨你的仇敵。』

5:44

ወአንሰ እብለክሙ አፍቅሩ ጸላእተክሙ ወባርክዎሙ ለእለ ይረግሙክሙ ወሠናየ ግበሩ ለእለ ይጸልኡክሙ ወጸልዩ በእንተ እለ ይትዔገሉክሙ ወይሰድዱክሙ።

But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,

只是我告訴你們，要愛你們的仇敵，為那逼迫你們的禱告。

5:45

ከመ ትኩኑ ውሉዶ ለአቡክሙ ዘበሰማያት እስመ ውእቱ ያሠርቅ ፀሓየ ላዕለ ኄራን ወእኩያን ወያዘንም ዝናመ ላዕለ ጻድቃን ወኃጥኣን።

that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.

這樣就可以作你們天父的兒子；因為他叫日頭照好人，也照歹人；降雨給義人，也給不義的人。

5:46

ወእመሰ ታፈቅሩ ዘያፈቅረክሙ ምንትኑ ዕሴትክሙ አኮሁ መጸብሓንሂ ከማሁሰ ይገብሩ።

For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same?

你們若單愛那愛你們的人，有甚麼賞賜呢？就是稅吏不也是這樣行嗎？

5:47

ወእመ ተአማኅክሙ አኀዊክሙ ምንት እንከ ፍድፋዴ ዘገበርክሙ አኮኑ አሕዛብኒ ከማሁሰ ይገብሩ።

If you only greet your friends, what more do you do than others? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same?

你們若單請你弟兄的安，比人有甚麼長處呢？就是外邦人不也是這樣行嗎？

5:48

አንትሙሰ ኩኑ ፍጹማነ ከመ አቡክሙ ሰማያዊ ፍጹም ውእቱ።

Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

所以，你們要完全，像你們的天父完全一樣。」
