23:1
ወአንበረ ፡ ክልኤሆን ፡ አጻብዐ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ዲበ ፡ አዕይንቲሁ ፡ ወባረኮ ፡ ለአምላከ ፡ አማልክት ፡ ወከደነ ፡ ገጾ ፡ ወሰፍሐ ፡ እገሪሁ ፡ ወኖመ ፡ ንዋመ ፡ ዘለዓለም ።
亞伯拉罕把兩手按在雅各的眼上，稱頌那萬神之神，便蓋上自己的臉，伸直雙腳，睡了那永遠的安睡。

23:2
ወበዝ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሀሎ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ይሰክብ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሕፅኑ ፡ ወኢያእመረ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሞተ ፡ አብርሃም ፡ አበ ፡ አቡሁ ።
在這一切的時候，雅各仍睡在他的懷中，並不知道他祖父亞伯拉罕已經死了。
And notwithstanding all this Jacob was lying in his bosom, and knew not that Abraham, his father's father, was dead.
23:3
ወነቅሀ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ እምንዋሙ ።
雅各從睡夢中醒來。
And Jacob awoke from his sleep, and behold Abraham was cold as ice, and he said: "Father, father! "; but there was none that spake, and he knew that he was dead.
23:4
ወተንሥአ ፡ እምሕፅኑ ፡ ወሮጸ ፡ ወነገራ ፡ ለርብቃ ፡ እሙ ።
他從亞伯拉罕的懷中起來，跑去告訴他母親利百加。
And he arose from his bosom and ran and told Rebecca, his mother; and Rebecca went to Isaac in the night and told him; and they went together, and Jacob with them, and a lamp was in his hand, and when they had gone in they found Abraham lying dead.
23:5
ወወድቀ ፡ ይስሐቅ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገጸ ፡ አቡሁ ፡ ወበከየ ፡ ወሰዐሞ ።
以撒便伏在他父親的臉上，哭著與他親嘴。
And Isaac fell on the face of his father, and wept and kissed him.
23:6
ወቃል ፡ ተሰምዐ ፡ በቤተ ፡ አብርሃም ።
哀哭的聲音在亞伯拉罕的家中被人聽見。
And the voices were heard in the house of Abraham, and Ishmael his son arose, and went to Abraham his father, and wept over [paragraph continues ] Abraham his father, he and all the house of Abraham, and they wept with a great weeping.
23:7
ወቀበርዎ ፡ ውስተ ፡ በዐት ፡ ካዕበት ፡ ቅሩበ ፡ ሳራ ፡ ብእሲቱ ፡ ወውሉዱ ፡ ይስሐቅ ፡ ወይስማዔል ።
他的兒子以撒和以實瑪利把他葬在那雙穴的洞裏，靠近他妻子撒拉。
And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the double cave, 1 near Sarah his wife, and they wept for him forty days, all the men of his house, and Isaac and Ishmael, and all their sons, and all the sons of Keturah in their places, and the days of weeping for Abraham were ended.
23:8
ሠለስተ ፡ ኢዮቤልዉ ፡ ሐይወ ፡ ወአርባዕተ ፡ ሱባዔ ፡ ዓመተ ፡ ምእተ ፡ ወሰብዓ ፡ ወኀምስተ ፡ ዓመተ ፡ ወፈጸመ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ሕይወቱ ፡ ልህቀ ፡ ወፍጹመ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ 9 እስመ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ቀደምት ፡ እማንቱ ፡ ለሕይወቶሙ ፡ ዐሠርቱ ፡ ወተስዐቱ ፡ ኢዮቤልውሳት ።
他活了三個禧年又四個七年，就是一百七十五歲，年紀老邁，日子滿足，這樣便完了他一生的日子；因為先前列祖的壽數是十九個禧年。
And he lived three jubilees and four weeks of years, one hundred and seventy-five years, and completed the days of his life, being old and full of days. Footnotes 4. The closing of the eyes (by the eldest son) should strictly only be done after death, according to Jewish tradition.
23:10
እስመ ፡ አብርሃምሰ ፡ ፍጹም ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ምግባሪሁ ፡ ምስለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
因為亞伯拉罕在他與主同行一切的作為上都是完全的。
For Abraham was perfect in all his deeds with the Lord, and well-pleasing in righteousness all the days of his life; and behold, he did not complete four jubilees in his life, when he had grown old by reason of the wickedness 3 and was full of his days.
23:11
ወኵሉ ፡ ትውልድ ፡ ዘይትነሣእ ፡ እምይእዜ ፡ ወእስከ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ደይን ፡ ዐባይ ፡ ይረስኡ ፡ ፍጡነ ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ ይፈጽሙ ፡ ክልኤ ፡ ኢዮቤልዉ ።
從這時起直到大審判之日，凡興起的世代都要迅速衰老，不到滿兩個禧年就老了。
And all the generations which will arise from this time until the day of the great judgment will grow old quickly, before they complete two jubilees, and their knowledge will forsake them by reason of their old age [and all their knowledge will vanish away ].
23:12
ወበውእቱ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ እመ ፡ ሐይወ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ኢዮቤልዉ ፡ ወመንፈቀ ፡ ዓመታት ፡ ይብሉ ፡ በእንቲአሁ ፡ አብዝኀ ፡ ሐይወ ፡ ወመብዝኅተ ፡ መዋዕሊሁ ፡ ሕማም ፡ ወስራሕ ፡ ወምንዳቤ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ሰላመ ፡ 13 እስመ ፡ መቅሠፍት ፡ ዲበ ፡ መቅሠፍት ፡ ወጽልዓን ፡ ዲበ ፡ ጽልዓን ፡ ወምንዳቤ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምንዳቤ ፡ ወስምዓተ ፡ እኩይ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ስምዓተ ፡ እኩይ ፡ ወደዌ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ደዌ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ኵነኔ ፡ እኩይ ፡ ዘከማሁ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ደዌ ፡ ወገበጥባጥ ፡ ወአስሐትያ ፡ ወበረድ ፡ ወሐመዳ ፡ ወነበርጻው ፡ ወሰከሕካሕ ፡ ወሰዖዛዝ ፡ ወዐባር ፡ ወሞት ፡ ወመጥባሕት ፡ ወፂዋዌ ።
在那些日子，人若活到一個半禧年，人就論他說：「他活得長久了」，然而他大半的日子都是疾病、勞苦和患難，毫無平安。因為災殃接著災殃，禍患接著禍患，患難接著患難，惡耗接著惡耗，疾病接著疾病，並一切如此的惡禍——疫病、寒戰、霜雪、冰雹、灰瘟、瘟疫、戰慄、饑荒、死亡、刀劍和擄掠都接連而至。
And in those days, if a man live a jubilee and a half of years, they will say regarding him: "He hath lived long, and the greater part of his days are pain and sorrow and tribulation, 1 and there is no peace:
23:14
ወኵሉ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ይመጽእ ፡ በትውልድ ፡ እኪት ፡ እንተ ፡ ታኤብስ ፡ ምድረ ፡ በርኵሰ ፡ ዝሙት ፡ ወበግማኔ ፡ ወበሰቆራር ፡ ግብሮሙ ።
這一切都要臨到那惡世代，就是那以淫亂的污穢、以玷污和可憎的行為使地犯罪的世代。
And all these will come on an evil generation, which transgresseth on the earth: their works are uncleanness and fornication, and pollution and abominations.
23:15
አሜሃ ፡ ይብሉ ፡ ለቀደምት ፡ መዋዕሌሆሙ ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ እስከ ፡ ዐሠርቱ ፡ ምእት ፡ ዓመት ፡ ወሠናይ ።
那時他們要論先祖說：「他們的日子多有千年之久，又是美好的；但看哪，我們生命的日子，人若多活，不過七十歲，若是強壯，也不過八十歲，而且盡都是勞苦的；在這惡世代的日子裏毫無平安。」
Then they will say: "The days of the forefathers were many (even), unto a thousand years, and were good; but, behold, the days of our life, if a man lath lived many, are three score years and ten, and, if he is strong, four score years, and those evil 4 and there is no peace in the days of this evil generation. "
23:16
ወበይእቲ ፡ ትውልድ ፡ ይከውኑ ፡ ደቂቅ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይዛለፉ ፡ አበዊሆሙ ፡ ወአዕሩጊሆሙ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ኀጢአት ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ዐመፃ ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ንባበ ፡ አፉሆሙ ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ እከያት ፡ ዐበይት ፡ ዘእሙንቱ ፡ ይገብሩ ።
在那世代，兒女要指責他們的父輩和長者犯罪行不義，責他們口中的言語和所行的大惡。
And in that generation the sons will convict their fathers and their elders of sin and unrighteousness, 5 and of the words of their mouth and the great wickednesses which they perpetrate, and concerning their forsaking the covenant 6 which the Lord made between them and Him, that they should observe and do all His commandments and His ordinances and all His laws, without departing either to the right hand or to the left.
23:17
እስመ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ አእከዩ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ አፍ ፡ ይትናገር ፡ አበሳ ።
因為眾人都行了惡，各人的口都說不義，他們一切的作為都是污穢可憎的，他們一切的道路都是玷污。
For all have done evil, 8 and every mouth speaketh iniquity 9 and all their works are an uncleanness and an abomination, and all their ways are pollution, uncleanness and destruction. Footnotes 10. 16. 10. 15. 6.
23:18
ናሁ ፡ ምድር ፡ ትትሐጐል ፡ በእንተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምግባሮሙ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘርአ ፡ ወይን ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ቅብአ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ካሕድ ፡ ምግባሪሆሙ ፡ ወኵሎሙ ፡ ይትሐጐሉ ፡ ኅቡረ ፡ አራዊት ፡ ወእንስሳ ፡ ወአዕዋፍ ።
看哪，地要因他們一切的作為而毀壞，必沒有葡萄的種子，也沒有油，因為他們一切的作為盡都背逆，他們都要一同毀滅，連走獸、牲畜和飛鳥也是如此。
Behold the earth will be destroyed on account of all their works, and there will be no seed of the vine, and no oil; for their works are altogether faithless, and they will all perish together, beasts and cattle and birds, and all the fish of the sea, on account of the children of men.
23:19
ወይትባአሱ ፡ እሉ ፡ ምስለ ፡ እሉ ፡ ወራዙት ፡ ምስለ ፡ ሊቃናት ፡ ወሊቃናት ፡ ምስለ ፡ ወራዙት ፡ ነዳይ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ባዕል ፡ ትሑት ፡ ምስለ ፡ ዐቢይ ፡ ወምስኪን ፡ ምስለ ፡ መኰንን ፡ በእንተ ፡ ሕግ ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ኪዳን ፡ እስመ ፡ ረስዑ ፡ ትእዛዘ ፡ ወኪዳነ ፡ ወበዓለ ፡ ወወርኀ ፡ ወሰንበተ ፡ ወኢዮቤሌው ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ኵነኔ ።
他們要彼此爭鬥，少年與老年，老年與少年，貧者與富者，卑賤的與尊大的，乞丐與君王，都為著律法和約而爭，因為他們忘記了誡命、約、節期、月份、安息日、禧年和一切的典章。
And they will strive one with another, the young with the old, and the old with the young, the poor with the rich, and the lowly with the great, and the beggar with the prince, on account of the law and the covenant; 2 for they have forgotten commandment, and covenant, and feasts, and months, and Sabbaths, and jubilees, and all judgments.
23:20
ወይቀውሙ ፡ በአስይፍት ፡ ወበቀትል ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሚጥዎሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ፍኖት ፡ ወኢይትመየጡ ፡ እስከ ፡ ይትከዐው ፡ ደም ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምድር ፡ እሉ ፡ በእሉ ፡ 21 ወእለ ፡ ድኅኑ ፡ በፍኖተ ፡ ጽድቅ ፡ ኢይትመየጡ ፡ እምነ ፡ እከዮሙ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ለትእግልት ፡ ወውስተ ፡ ብዕል ፡ ይትነሥኡ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይንሣእ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘቢጹ ፡ ወስመ ፡ ዐቢየ ፡ ይሰመዩ ፡ ወአኮ ፡ በህልው ፡ ወአኮ ፡ በጽድቅ ፡ ወቅድሳተ ፡ ቅዱስ ፡ ያረኵሱ ፡ በርኵሰ ፡ ሙስና ፡ ግማኔሆሙ ።
他們要拿著弓和刀劍爭戰，要把眾人趕回正道，眾人卻不肯回轉，直到地上彼此流了許多血。那些在公義道路上得救的，也不轉離他們的惡，因為眾人都起來要奪取財富，要叫各人奪盡同伴的一切，又妄稱大名，並非憑真實、並非憑公義；他們還用敗壞的污穢玷污至聖之所。
And they will stand (with bows and) swords and war to turn them back into the way; 4 but they will not return until much blood hath been shed on the earth, one by another.
23:22
ወይከውን ፡ መቅሠፍት ፡ ዐቢይ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ግብረ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ትውልድ ፡ እምኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወይሁቦሙ ፡ ለመጥባሕት ፡ ወለኵነኔ ፡ ወለፂዋዌ ፡ ወለሀይድ ፡ ወለብልዐት ።
必有大刑罰從主臨到那世代的行為，祂要把他們交給刀劍、審判、擄掠、搶奪和吞滅。
And a great punishment will befall the deeds of this generation from the Lord, and He will give them over to the sword and to judgment and to captivity, and to be plundered and devoured.
23:23
ወያነቅህ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ ኃጢኣኒሆሙ ፡ ለአሕዛብ ፡ እለ ፡ አልቦሙ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ ምሕረተ ፡ ወሣህለ ፡ ወለገጸ ፡ መኑሂ ፡ ኢያደልው ፡ ኢለልሂቅ ፡ ወኢለወሬዛ ፡ ወኢለመኑሂ ፡ እስመ ፡ እኩያን ፡ ወኀያላን ፡ ከመ ፡ ይእከዩ ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ ውሉደ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ወይገብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ሀከከ ፡ ወዲበ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ አበሳ ፡ ወይትከዐው ፡ ደም ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘያስተጋብእ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘይቀብር ።
祂要興起列邦中的罪人攻擊他們，這些人毫無憐憫慈愛，不徇情面，無論老幼或任何人都不顧惜，因為他們比眾世人更兇惡、更強橫行惡。他們要對以色列施行暴行，對雅各行過犯，使許多血流在地上，無人收殮，無人埋葬。
And He will wake up against them the sinners of the Gentiles, who have neither mercy nor compassion, and who will respect the person of none, neither old nor young, nor any one, for they are more wicked and strong to do evil than all the children of men. And they will use violence against Israel and transgression against Jacob, And much blood will be shed upon the earth, And there will be none to gather and none to bury. 1 24 . In those days they will cry aloud, And call and pray that they may be saved from the hand of the sinners, the Gentiles; 2 But none will be saved. 25 . And the heads of the children will be white with grey hair. 3 And a child of three weeks will appear old like a man of one hundred years, And their stature will be destroyed by tribulation and oppression. 23:24
በውእቱ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ይጸርኁ ፡ ወይጼውዑ ፡ ወይጼልዩ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይድኀኑ ፡ እምእደ ፡ ኃጥኣን ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘያድኅን ፡ 25 ወይጸዐዱ ፡ አርእስተ ፡ ደቂቅ ፡ በሲበት ፡ ወያስተርኢ ፡ ሕፃን ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሠለስቱ ፡ ሱባዔ ፡ ልሂቀ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዘምእት ፡ ዓመቱ ፡ ወይትሐጐል ፡ ቁመቶሙ ፡ በምንዳቤ ፡ ወበጻዕር ።
在那些日子，他們要哀號呼求禱告，求脫離列邦罪人的手，卻無人得救。眾兒童的頭髮要因白髮而灰白，三週大的嬰孩看起來要老如百歲之人，他們的身量要因患難壓制而毀壞。
In those days they shall cry out and call and pray to be delivered from the hand of the wicked nations, but there shall be none to deliver. And the heads of the children shall be white with grey hair, and a child of three weeks shall appear old like one of a hundred years, and their stature shall be destroyed by tribulation and travail.
23:26
ወበውእቶን ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ይእኅዙ ፡ ደቂቅ ፡ ይትኀሠሡ ፡ ሕገገ ፡ ወለኃሢሠ ፡ ትእዛዝ ፡ ወለተመይጦ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ጽድቅ ።
在那些日子，兒女要開始尋求律法，尋求誡命，回轉到公義的道路上。
And in those days the children will begin to study the laws, And to seek the commandments, And to return to the path of righteousness.
23:27
ወይእኅዛ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ይብዝኃ ፡ ወይልሀቃ ፡ ወውሉደ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ትውልድ ፡ እምትውልድ ፡ ወዕለት ፡ እመዋዕል ፡ እስከ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ይቀርብ ፡ መዋዕሊሆሙ ፡ ለዐሠርቱ ፡ ምእት ፡ ዓመት ፡ ወለብዙኅ ፡ ዓመታት ፡ እምነ ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ 28 ወአልቦ ፡ ልሂቀ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘይጸግብ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ሕፃናተ ፡ ወደቂቀ ፡ ይከውኑ ፡ 29 ወኵሎን ፡ መዋዕሊሆሙ ፡ በሰላም ፡ ወበፍሥሓ ፡ ይፌጽሙ ፡ ወይሐይዉ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ መነሂ ፡ ሰይጣነ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ መነሂ ፡ እኩየ ፡ ዘያማስን ፡ እስመ ፡ ኵሎን ፡ መዋዕሊሆሙ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ በረከት ፡ ወፈውስ ፡ ይከውና ።
那些日子要開始增多，世人的日子也要一代多過一代，一日多過一日，直到他們的日子近於千年，並多過從前許多的年日。必不再有衰老的人，也沒有日子未滿足的，因為眾人都要成為嬰孩和孩童。他們一切的日子都要在平安和喜樂中度過、存活，必沒有任何撒但，也沒有任何敗壞人的惡者，因為他們一切的日子都要成為蒙福和醫治的日子。
And the days will begin to grow many and increase amongst those children of men, Till their days draw nigh to one thousand years, 1 And to a greater number of years than (before) was the number of the days.
23:30
አሜሃ ፡ ይፌውስ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አግብርቲሁ ፡ ወይትነሥኡ ፡ ወይሬእዩ ፡ ሰላመ ፡ ዐቢየ ፡ ወይሰድድ ፡ ጸላእቶ ፡ ወይሬእዩ ፡ ጻድቃን ፡ ወያአኵቱ ፡ ወይትፌሥሑ ፡ እስከ ፡ ለዓለመ ፡ ዓለም ፡ በፍሥሓ ።
那時主必醫治祂的僕人，他們要興起得見大平安，並要趕逐他們的仇敵。義人必看見而感謝，永永遠遠歡喜快樂。
And at that time the Lord will heal His servants, And they will rise up 6 and see 7 great peace, And drive out their adversaries. And the righteous will see and be thankful, And rejoice with joy for ever and ever, And will see all their judgments and all their curses on their enemies.
23:31
ወያዐርፍ ፡ አዕፅምቲሆሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ።
他們的骸骨必在地裏安歇。
And their bones will rest in the earth, And their spirits will have much joy, 8 And they will know that it is the Lord who executeth judgment, And showeth mercy to hundreds and thousands and to all that love Him,
23:32
ወአንተኒ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ጸሐፍ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ቃላተ ፡ እስመ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ጽሑፍ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወየዐርጉ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ስምዐ ፡ ጽላተ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ለትውልድ ፡ ዘለዓለም ።
摩西啊，你也要把這些話寫下來，因為這是如此記載的，要記在天上的法版上作見證，存到萬代。
xix:1 Thus the Abyssinian Jews (Falashas), maintaining old practice, reckon the 50 days from Nisan 21, as our author does, but fix Sivan 12 as the date for the Feast of Weeks, as they use alternate months of 30 and 29 days.
