約伯記 第 31 章

31:1
בְּ֭רִית כָּרַ֣תִּי לְעֵינָ֑י וּמָ֥ה אֶ֝תְבּוֹנֵ֗ן עַל־בְּתוּלָֽה׃
我與眼睛立約， 怎能戀戀瞻望處女呢？
“I made a covenant with my eyes; how then should I look lustfully at a young woman?
31:2
וּמֶ֤ה חֵ֣לֶק אֱל֣וֹהַּ מִמָּ֑עַל וְֽנַחֲלַ֥ת שַׁ֝דַּ֗י מִמְּרֹמִֽים׃
從至上的上帝所得之分， 從至高全能者所得之業是甚麼呢？
For what is the portion from God above, and the heritage from the Almighty on high?
31:3
הֲלֹא־אֵ֥יד לְעַוָּ֑ל וְ֝נֵ֗כֶר לְפֹ֣עֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃
豈不是禍患臨到不義的， 災害臨到作孽的呢？
Is it not calamity to the unrighteous, and disaster to the workers of iniquity?
31:4
הֲלֹא־ה֭וּא יִרְאֶ֣ה דְרָכָ֑י וְֽכׇל־צְעָדַ֥י יִסְפּֽוֹר׃
上帝豈不是察看我的道路， 數點我的腳步呢？
Doesn’t he see my ways, and count all my steps?
31:5
אִם־הָלַ֥כְתִּי עִם־שָׁ֑וְא וַתַּ֖חַשׁ עַל־מִרְמָ֣ה רַגְלִֽי׃
我若與虛謊同行， 腳若追隨詭詐； （
“If I have walked with falsehood, and my foot has hurried to deceit
31:6
יִשְׁקְלֵ֥נִי בְמֹֽאזְנֵי־צֶ֑דֶק וְיֵדַ֥ע אֱ֝ל֗וֹהַּ תֻּמָּתִֽי׃
我若被公道的天平稱度， 使上帝可以知道我的純正；）
(let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know my integrity);
31:7
אִ֥ם־תִּטֶּ֣ה אַשֻּׁרִי֮ מִנִּ֢י הַ֫דָּ֥רֶךְ וְאַחַ֣ר עֵ֭ינַי הָלַ֣ךְ לִבִּ֑י וּ֝בְכַפַּ֗י דָּ֣בַק מֽאוּם׃
我的腳步若偏離正路， 我的心若隨着我的眼目， 若有玷污粘在我手上；
if my step has turned out of the way, if my heart walked after my eyes, if any defilement has stuck to my hands,
31:8
אֶ֭זְרְעָה וְאַחֵ֣ר יֹאכֵ֑ל וְֽצֶאֱצָאַ֥י יְשֹׁרָֽשׁוּ׃
就願我所種的有別人吃， 我田所產的被拔出來。
then let me sow, and let another eat. Yes, let the produce of my field be rooted out.
31:9
אִם־נִפְתָּ֣ה לִ֭בִּי עַל־אִשָּׁ֑ה וְעַל־פֶּ֖תַח רֵעִ֣י אָרָֽבְתִּי׃
我若受迷惑，向婦人起淫念， 在鄰舍的門外蹲伏，
“If my heart has been enticed to a woman, and I have laid wait at my neighbor’s door,
31:10
תִּטְחַ֣ן לְאַחֵ֣ר אִשְׁתִּ֑י וְ֝עָלֶ֗יהָ יִכְרְע֥וּן אֲחֵרִֽין׃
就願我的妻子給別人推磨， 別人也與她同室。
then let my wife grind for another, and let others sleep with her.
31:11
כִּי־[הִ֥יא] (הוא) זִמָּ֑ה (והיא) [וְ֝ה֗וּא] עָוֺ֥ן פְּלִילִֽים׃
因為這是大罪， 是審判官當罰的罪孽。
For that would be a heinous crime. Yes, it would be an iniquity to be punished by the judges,
31:12
כִּ֤י אֵ֣שׁ הִ֭יא עַד־אֲבַדּ֣וֹן תֹּאכֵ֑ל וּֽבְכׇל־תְּב֖וּאָתִ֣י תְשָׁרֵֽשׁ׃
這本是火焚燒，直到毀滅， 必拔除我所有的家產。
for it is a fire that consumes to destruction, and would root out all my increase.
31:13
אִם־אֶמְאַ֗ס מִשְׁפַּ֣ט עַ֭בְדִּי וַאֲמָתִ֑י בְּ֝רִבָ֗ם עִמָּדִֽי׃
我的僕婢與我爭辯的時候， 我若藐視不聽他們的情節；
“If I have despised the cause of my male servant or of my female servant, when they contended with me,
31:14
וּמָ֣ה אֶ֭עֱשֶׂה כִּֽי־יָק֣וּם אֵ֑ל וְכִי־יִ֝פְקֹ֗ד מָ֣ה אֲשִׁיבֶֽנּוּ׃
上帝興起，我怎樣行呢？ 他察問，我怎樣回答呢？
what then will I do when God rises up? When he visits, what will I answer him?
31:15
הֲֽלֹא־בַ֭בֶּטֶן עֹשֵׂ֣נִי עָשָׂ֑הוּ וַ֝יְכֻנֶ֗נּוּ בָּרֶ֥חֶם אֶחָֽד׃
造我在腹中的，不也是造他嗎？ 將他與我摶在腹中的豈不是一位嗎？
Didn’t he who made me in the womb make him? Didn’t one fashion us in the womb?
31:16
אִם־אֶ֭מְנַע מֵחֵ֣פֶץ דַּלִּ֑ים וְעֵינֵ֖י אַלְמָנָ֣ה אֲכַלֶּֽה׃
我若不容貧寒人得其所願， 或叫寡婦眼中失望，
“If I have withheld the poor from their desire, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail,
31:17
וְאֹכַ֣ל פִּתִּ֣י לְבַדִּ֑י וְלֹֽא־אָכַ֖ל יָת֣וֹם מִמֶּֽנָּה׃
或獨自吃我一點食物， 孤兒沒有與我同吃； （
or have eaten my morsel alone, and the fatherless has not eaten of it
31:18
כִּ֣י מִ֭נְּעוּרַי גְּדֵלַ֣נִי כְאָ֑ב וּמִבֶּ֖טֶן אִמִּ֣י אַנְחֶֽנָּה׃
從幼年時孤兒與我同長，好像父子一樣； 我從出母腹就扶助 寡婦。）
(no, from my youth he grew up with me as with a father, I have guided her from my mother’s womb);
31:19
אִם־אֶרְאֶ֣ה א֭וֹבֵד מִבְּלִ֣י לְב֑וּשׁ וְאֵ֥ין כְּ֝ס֗וּת לָאֶבְיֽוֹן׃
我若見人因無衣死亡， 或見窮乏人身無遮蓋；
if I have seen any perish for want of clothing, or that the needy had no covering;
31:20
אִם־לֹ֣א בֵרְכ֣וּנִי חֲלָצָ֑ו וּמִגֵּ֥ז כְּ֝בָשַׂ֗י יִתְחַמָּֽם׃
我若不使他因我羊的毛得暖， 為我祝福；
if his heart hasn’t blessed me, if he hasn’t been warmed with my sheep’s fleece;
31:21
אִם־הֲנִיפ֣וֹתִי עַל־יָת֣וֹם יָדִ֑י כִּֽי־אֶרְאֶ֥ה בַ֝שַּׁ֗עַר עֶזְרָתִֽי׃
我若在城門口見有幫助我的， 舉手攻擊孤兒；
if I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, because I saw my help in the gate;
31:22
כְּ֭תֵפִי מִשִּׁכְמָ֣הֿ תִפּ֑וֹל וְ֝אֶזְרֹעִ֗י מִקָּנָ֥הֿ תִשָּׁבֵֽר׃
情願我的肩頭從缺盆骨脫落， 我的膀臂從羊矢骨折斷。
then let my shoulder fall from the shoulder blade, and my arm be broken from the bone.
31:23
כִּ֤י פַ֣חַד אֵ֭לַי אֵ֣יד אֵ֑ל וּ֝מִשְּׂאֵת֗וֹ לֹ֣א אוּכָֽל׃
因上帝降的災禍使我恐懼； 因他的威嚴，我不能妄為。
For calamity from God is a terror to me. Because of his majesty, I can do nothing.
31:24
אִם־שַׂ֣מְתִּי זָהָ֣ב כִּסְלִ֑י וְ֝לַכֶּ֗תֶם אָמַ֥רְתִּי מִבְטַחִֽי׃
我若以黃金為指望， 對精金說：你是我的倚靠；
“If I have made gold my hope, and have said to the fine gold, ‘You are my confidence;’
31:25
אִם־אֶ֭שְׂמַח כִּֽי־רַ֣ב חֵילִ֑י וְכִֽי־כַ֝בִּ֗יר מָצְאָ֥ה יָדִֽי׃
我若因財物豐裕， 因我手多得資財而歡喜；
If I have rejoiced because my wealth was great, and because my hand had gotten much;
31:26
אִם־אֶרְאֶ֣ה א֭וֹר כִּ֣י יָהֵ֑ל וְ֝יָרֵ֗חַ יָקָ֥ר הֹלֵֽךְ׃
我若見太陽發光， 明月行在空中，
if I have seen the sun when it shined, or the moon moving in splendor,
31:27
וַיִּ֣פְתְּ בַּסֵּ֣תֶר לִבִּ֑י וַתִּשַּׁ֖ק יָדִ֣י לְפִֽי׃
心就暗暗被引誘， 口便親手；
and my heart has been secretly enticed, and my hand threw a kiss from my mouth;
31:28
גַּם־ה֭וּא עָוֺ֣ן פְּלִילִ֑י כִּֽי־כִחַ֖שְׁתִּי לָאֵ֣ל מִמָּֽעַל׃
這也是審判官當罰的罪孽， 又是我背棄在上的上帝。
this also would be an iniquity to be punished by the judges, for I would have denied the God who is above.
31:29
אִם־אֶ֭שְׂמַח בְּפִ֣יד מְשַׂנְאִ֑י וְ֝הִתְעֹרַ֗רְתִּי כִּֽי־מְצָ֥אוֹ רָֽע׃
我若見恨我的遭報就歡喜， 見他遭災便高興； （
“If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him who hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him
31:30
וְלֹא־נָתַ֣תִּי לַחֲטֹ֣א חִכִּ֑י לִשְׁאֹ֖ל בְּאָלָ֣ה נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃
我沒有容口犯罪， 咒詛他的生命；）
(I have certainly not allowed my mouth to sin by asking his life with a curse);
31:31
אִם־לֹ֣א אָ֭מְרוּ מְתֵ֣י אׇהֳלִ֑י מִי־יִתֵּ֥ן מִ֝בְּשָׂר֗וֹ לֹ֣א נִשְׂבָּֽע׃
若我帳棚的人未嘗說， 誰不以主人的食物吃飽呢？ （
if the men of my tent have not said, ‘Who can find one who has not been filled with his meat?’
31:32
בַּ֭חוּץ לֹא־יָלִ֣ין גֵּ֑ר דְּ֝לָתַ֗י לָאֹ֥רַח אֶפְתָּֽח׃
從來我沒有容客旅在街上住宿， 卻開門迎接行路的人；）
(the foreigner has not camped in the street, but I have opened my doors to the traveler);
31:33
אִם־כִּסִּ֣יתִי כְאָדָ֣ם פְּשָׁעָ֑י לִטְמ֖וֹן בְּחֻבִּ֣י עֲוֺנִֽי׃
我若像亞當 遮掩我的過犯， 將罪孽藏在懷中；
if like Adam I have covered my transgressions, by hiding my iniquity in my heart,
31:34
כִּ֤י אֶעֱר֨וֹץ׀ הָ֘מ֤וֹן רַבָּ֗ה וּבוּז־מִשְׁפָּח֥וֹת יְחִתֵּ֑נִי וָ֝אֶדֹּ֗ם לֹא־אֵ֥צֵא פָֽתַח׃
因懼怕大眾， 又因宗族藐視我使我驚恐， 以致閉口無言，杜門不出；
because I feared the great multitude, and the contempt of families terrified me, so that I kept silence, and didn’t go out of the door—
31:35
מִ֤י יִתֶּן־לִ֨י׀ שֹׁ֘מֵ֤עַֽ לִ֗י הֶן־תָּ֭וִי שַׁדַּ֣י יַעֲנֵ֑נִי וְסֵ֥פֶר כָּ֝תַ֗ב אִ֣ישׁ רִיבִֽי׃
惟願有一位肯聽我！ （看哪，在這裏有我所劃的押， 願全能者回答我！）
oh that I had one to hear me! Behold, here is my signature! Let the Almighty answer me! Let the accuser write my indictment!
31:36
אִם־לֹ֣א עַל־שִׁ֭כְמִי אֶשָּׂאֶ֑נּוּ אֶעֶנְדֶ֖נּוּ עֲטָר֣וֹת לִֽי׃
願那敵我者所寫的狀詞在我這裏！ 我必帶在肩上，又綁在頭上為冠冕。
Surely I would carry it on my shoulder, and I would bind it to me as a crown.
31:37
מִסְפַּ֣ר צְ֭עָדַי אַגִּידֶ֑נּוּ כְּמוֹ־נָ֝גִ֗יד אֲקָֽרְבֶֽנּוּ׃
我必向他述說我腳步的數目， 必如君王進到他面前。
I would declare to him the number of my steps. I would go near to him like a prince.
31:38
אִם־עָ֭לַי אַדְמָתִ֣י תִזְעָ֑ק וְ֝יַ֗חַד תְּלָמֶ֥יהָ יִבְכָּיֽוּן׃
我若奪取田地，這地向我喊冤， 犂溝一同哭泣；
If my land cries out against me, and its furrows weep together;
31:39
אִם־כֹּ֭חָהּ אָכַ֣לְתִּי בְלִי־כָ֑סֶף וְנֶ֖פֶשׁ בְּעָלֶ֣יהָ הִפָּֽחְתִּי׃
我若吃地的出產不給價值， 或叫原主喪命；
if I have eaten its fruits without money, or have caused its owners to lose their life,
31:40
תַּ֤חַת חִטָּ֨ה׀ יֵ֥צֵא ח֗וֹחַ וְתַֽחַת־שְׂעֹרָ֥ה בׇאְשָׁ֑ה תַּ֝֗מּוּ דִּבְרֵ֥י אִיּֽוֹב׃ {פ}
願這地長蒺藜代替麥子， 長惡草代替大麥。 約伯的話說完了。
let briers grow instead of wheat, and stinkweed instead of barley.” The words of Job are ended.
