7:1
הֲלֹֽא־צָבָ֣א לֶֽאֱנ֣וֹשׁ (על) [עֲלֵי־]אָ֑רֶץ וְכִימֵ֖י שָׂכִ֣יר יָמָֽיו׃
人在世上豈無爭戰嗎？ 他的日子不像雇工人的日子嗎？
“Isn’t a man forced to labor on earth? Aren’t his days like the days of a hired hand?
7:2
כְּעֶ֥בֶד יִשְׁאַף־צֵ֑ל וּ֝כְשָׂכִ֗יר יְקַוֶּ֥ה פׇעֳלֽוֹ׃
像奴僕切慕黑影， 像雇工人盼望工價；
As a servant who earnestly desires the shadow, as a hireling who looks for his wages,
7:3
כֵּ֤ן הׇנְחַ֣לְתִּי לִ֭י יַרְחֵי־שָׁ֑וְא וְלֵיל֥וֹת עָ֝מָ֗ל מִנּוּ־לִֽי׃
我也照樣經過困苦的日月， 夜間的疲乏為我而定。
so I am made to possess months of misery, wearisome nights are appointed to me.
7:4
אִם־שָׁכַ֗בְתִּי וְאָמַ֗רְתִּי מָתַ֣י אָ֭קוּם וּמִדַּד־עָ֑רֶב וְשָׂבַ֖עְתִּי נְדֻדִ֣ים עֲדֵי־נָֽשֶׁף׃
我躺臥的時候便說： 我何時起來，黑夜就過去呢？ 我盡是反來覆去，直到天亮。
When I lie down, I say, ‘When will I arise, and the night be gone?’ I toss and turn until the dawning of the day.
7:5
לָ֘בַ֤שׁ בְּשָׂרִ֣י רִ֭מָּה (וגיש) [וְג֣וּשׁ] עָפָ֑ר עוֹרִ֥י רָ֝גַ֗ע וַיִּמָּאֵֽס׃
我的肉體以蟲子和塵土為衣； 我的皮膚才收了口又重新破裂。
My flesh is clothed with worms and clods of dust. My skin closes up, and breaks out afresh.
7:6
יָמַ֣י קַ֭לּוּ מִנִּי־אָ֑רֶג וַ֝יִּכְל֗וּ בְּאֶ֣פֶס תִּקְוָֽה׃
我的日子比梭更快， 都消耗在無指望之中。
My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle, and are spent without hope.
7:7
זְ֭כֹר כִּי־ר֣וּחַ חַיָּ֑י לֹא־תָשׁ֥וּב עֵ֝ינִ֗י לִרְא֥וֹת טֽוֹב׃
求你想念，我的生命不過是一口氣； 我的眼睛必不再見福樂。
Oh remember that my life is a breath. My eye will no more see good.
7:8
לֹא־תְ֭שׁוּרֵנִי עֵ֣ין רֹ֑אִי עֵינֶ֖יךָ בִּ֣י וְאֵינֶֽנִּי׃
觀看我的人，他的眼必不再見我； 你的眼目要看我，我卻不在了。
The eye of him who sees me will see me no more. Your eyes will be on me, but I will not be.
7:9
כָּלָ֣ה עָ֭נָן וַיֵּלַ֑ךְ כֵּ֥ן יוֹרֵ֥ד שְׁ֝א֗וֹל לֹ֣א יַעֲלֶֽה׃
雲彩消散而過； 照樣，人下陰間也不再上來。
As the cloud is consumed and vanishes away, so he who goes down to Sheol will come up no more.
7:10
לֹא־יָשׁ֣וּב ע֣וֹד לְבֵית֑וֹ וְלֹא־יַכִּירֶ֖נּוּ ע֣וֹד מְקֹמֽוֹ׃
他不再回自己的家； 故土也不再認識他。
He will return no more to his house, neither will his place know him any more.
7:11
גַּם־אֲנִי֮ לֹ֤א אֶחֱשׇׂ֫ךְ־פִּ֥י אֲֽ֭דַבְּרָה בְּצַ֣ר רוּחִ֑י אָ֝שִׂ֗יחָה בְּמַ֣ר נַפְשִֽׁי׃
我不禁止我口； 我靈愁苦，要發出言語； 我心苦惱，要吐露哀情。
“Therefore I will not keep silent. I will speak in the anguish of my spirit. I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.
7:12
הֲֽיָם־אָ֭נִי אִם־תַּנִּ֑ין כִּֽי־תָשִׂ֖ים עָלַ֣י מִשְׁמָֽר׃
我對上帝說：我豈是洋海， 豈是大魚，你竟防守我呢？
Am I a sea, or a sea monster, that you put a guard over me?
7:13
כִּֽי־אָ֭מַרְתִּי תְּנַחֲמֵ֣נִי עַרְשִׂ֑י יִשָּׂ֥א בְ֝שִׂיחִ֗י מִשְׁכָּבִֽי׃
若說：我的床必安慰我， 我的榻必解釋我的苦情，
When I say, ‘My bed will comfort me. My couch will ease my complaint,’
7:14
וְחִתַּתַּ֥נִי בַחֲלֹמ֑וֹת וּֽמֵחֶזְיֹנ֥וֹת תְּבַעֲתַֽנִּי׃
你就用夢驚駭我， 用異象恐嚇我，
then you scare me with dreams and terrify me through visions,
7:15
וַתִּבְחַ֣ר מַחֲנָ֣ק נַפְשִׁ֑י מָ֝֗וֶת מֵעַצְמוֹתָֽי׃
甚至我寧肯噎死，寧肯死亡， 勝似留我這一身的骨頭。
so that my soul chooses strangling, death rather than my bones.
7:16
מָ֭אַסְתִּי לֹא־לְעֹלָ֣ם אֶחְיֶ֑ה חֲדַ֥ל מִ֝מֶּ֗נִּי כִּי־הֶ֥בֶל יָמָֽי׃
我厭棄性命，不願永活。 你任憑我吧，因我的日子都是虛空。
I loathe my life. I don’t want to live forever. Leave me alone, for my days are but a breath.
7:17
מָֽה־אֱ֭נוֹשׁ כִּ֣י תְגַדְּלֶ֑נּוּ וְכִֽי־תָשִׁ֖ית אֵלָ֣יו לִבֶּֽךָ׃
人算甚麼，你竟看他為大， 將他放在心上？
What is man, that you should magnify him, that you should set your mind on him,
7:18
וַתִּפְקְדֶ֥נּוּ לִבְקָרִ֑ים לִ֝רְגָעִ֗ים תִּבְחָנֶֽנּוּ׃
每早鑒察他， 時刻試驗他？
that you should visit him every morning, and test him every moment?
7:19
כַּ֭מָּה לֹא־תִשְׁעֶ֣ה מִמֶּ֑נִּי לֹֽא־תַ֝רְפֵּ֗נִי עַד־בִּלְעִ֥י רֻקִּֽי׃
你到何時才轉眼不看我， 才任憑我咽下唾沫呢？
How long will you not look away from me, nor leave me alone until I swallow down my spittle?
7:20
חָטָ֡אתִי מָ֤ה אֶפְעַ֨ל׀ לָךְ֮ נֹצֵ֢ר הָ֫אָדָ֥ם לָ֤מָה שַׂמְתַּ֣נִי לְמִפְגָּ֣ע לָ֑ךְ וָאֶהְיֶ֖ה עָלַ֣י לְמַשָּֽׂא׃
鑒察人的主啊，我若有罪，於你何妨？ 為何以我當你的箭靶子， 使我厭棄自己的性命？
If I have sinned, what do I do to you, you watcher of men? Why have you set me as a mark for you, so that I am a burden to myself?
7:21
וּמֶ֤ה׀ לֹא־תִשָּׂ֣א פִשְׁעִי֮ וְתַעֲבִ֢יר אֶת־עֲוֺ֫נִ֥י כִּֽי־עַ֭תָּה לֶעָפָ֣ר אֶשְׁכָּ֑ב וְשִׁ֖חַרְתַּ֣נִי וְאֵינֶֽנִּי׃ {פ}
為何不赦免我的過犯， 除掉我的罪孽？ 我現今要躺臥在塵土中； 你要殷勤地尋找我，我卻不在了。
Why do you not pardon my disobedience, and take away my iniquity? For now will I lie down in the dust. You will seek me diligently, but I will not be.”
