15:1
But when he saw that he was not sufficient for the deeper study of the divine things, and for the examination and interpretation of the sacred writings, and besides for the catechizing of those who came to him—they not allowing him even to draw breath, one after another from morning until evening frequenting his school—he divided the multitudes, and choosing out Heraclas from among his acquaintances, a man earnest in the divine things and otherwise most learned and not without a share of philosophy, he established him as a partner in the catechizing, entrusting to him the first introduction of those just being instructed in the elements, while reserving for himself the hearing of those already advanced.
