2:1
ወሀሎ፡ ብእሲ፡ እምሕዝበ፡ ብንያም፡ ዘስሙ፡ መቃብዮስ።
有一個便雅憫支派的人，名叫馬加比。
And there was a man of the tribe of Benjamin whose name was Maccabeus.
2:2
ወቦቱ
他有幾個兒子，都俊美健壯，是大能的勇士，深得眾民喜愛。
And he had sons, handsome and mighty warriors, who were beloved by all the people.
2:3
ወረከብዎሙ፡ ወይቤሎሙ፡ ኢትስግድኑ፡ ወኢትሠውዑኑ፡ ለአማልክተ፡ ጺሩጻይዳን፡ ንጉሥ፡ በከመ፡ አዘዞ።
王的人尋見他們，對他們說：「你們豈不向策魯查丹王的眾神叩拜獻祭嗎？這是照王所吩咐的。
And the king's men found them and said to them, Will you not bow down and will you not sacrifice to the gods of King Tseerutsaydan, as he has commanded?
2:4
ወእመሰ፡ ዓበይክሙ፡ ንእኅዘክሙ፡ ወንወሰደክሙ፡ ኀበ፡ ንጉሥ፡ ወናጠፍዕ፡ ኵሉ፡ ንዋየክሙ፡ በከመ፡ አዘዘ፡ ንጉሥ።
你們若不肯，我們就要拿住你們，把你們帶到王那裡，並照王所吩咐的毀滅你們一切的財物。」
But if you refuse, we will seize you and take you to the king, and we will destroy all your goods, as the king has commanded.
2:5
ወአውሥኡ፡ ወይቤልዎ፡ እሉ፡ ሠናያን፡ ወራዙተ፡ ንሕነሰ፡ ሀሎ፡ ዘንሰግድ፡ ሎቱ፡ አምላከ፡ አበዊነ፡ ፈጣሬ፡ ሰማያት፡ ወምድር፡ ወባሕር፡ ወኵሎ፡ ዘውስቴታ፡ ፈጣራ፡ ፀሐይ፡ ወወርህ፡ ወከዋክብት፡ ወደመናት፡ ውእቲኪ፡ አምላክ፡ ዘበአማን፡ ዘንሕነ፡ ናመልኮ፡ ወነአምን፡ ቦቱ።
這些善良的少年人回答說：「至於我們，我們所叩拜的乃是我們列祖的神，就是創造諸天、大地、海洋與其中萬物的主，他造了日、月、星辰與雲霧。他是真神，是我們所敬拜、所信靠的。」
And they answered and said to him, these good young men: As for us, there is One to whom we bow, the God of our fathers, the Creator of the heavens and the earth and the sea and all that is in them, the Maker of the sun and the moon and the stars and the clouds. He is the true God whom we worship and in whom we believe.
2:6
ወእሉሰ፡ ወዓልያኒሁ፡ ለንጉሥ፡ አርባዕቱ፡ መሳፍንት፡ ወበበ%፡ ሐራሆሙ፡ እለ፡ ይፀውሩ፡ ንዋየ፡ ሐቅሎሙ።
那些奉王差遣的，是四位首領，各帶著為他們扛抬兵器的軍兵。
And these were the king's servants, four princes, and with each of them were their troops who carried their weapons of war.
2:7
ወሶበ፡ ፈቃዱ፡ የአኀዝዎሙ፡ ለእሉ፡ ቅዱሳን፡ አምሠጡ፡ እምእዴሆሙ፡ ወአልቦ፡ ዘነከዮሙ፡ ወሖሩ፡ እንዘ፡ ይፀውሩ፡ ንዋየ፡ ሐቅሎሙ፡ እስመ፡ እሙንቱ፡ ወራዙተ፡ ጽኑዓን፡ ወኀያላን፡ ፈድፋደ።
他們想拿住這些聖徒，他們卻從他們手中逃脫，無人能傷害他們；他們便帶著自己的兵器離去，因為他們是極其堅強有力的少年。
And when they wished to seize these holy ones, they escaped out of their hands, and none could harm them; and they went away carrying their weapons of war, for they were young men exceedingly strong and mighty.
2:8
ወቦ፡ እምኔሆሙ፡ ዘይቀትል፡ እንዘ፡ የሐንቅ፡ ድበ፡ ወየሐነቆ፡ ከመ፡ እንተ፡ ዶርሆ፡ ሶቤሂ።
他們中間有一個人，能掐死豹子，把牠掐死如同人掐死一隻雞一般。
And there was among them one who could kill while strangling a leopard, and he would throttle it as one throttles a chicken in that moment.
2:9
ወቦ፡ እምኔሆሙ፡ ዘይቀትል፡ አንበሳ፡ በአሐቲ፡ ዝብጠተ፡ ዕብነ፡ አው፡ በውግረተ፡ ዕፅ፡ በአሐቲ፡ ጊዜ።
他們中間又有一個人，能用一塊石頭一擲、或用一根木棍一擊，便殺死一頭獅子。
And there was among them one who could kill a lion with a single cast of a stone, or with one stroke of a staff, at one time.
2:10
ወቦ፡ እምኔሆሙ፡ በውስተ፡ ቀትል፡ ዘይቀትል፡ ምእተ፡ በአሐቲ፡ ጊዜ፡ በአሐዱ፡ ሰይፍ፡ ወከመዝ፡ ሰሞሙ፡ ወንዒዎሙኒ፡ ዝኩር፡ በኵሉ፡ ምድረ፡ ሞዓብ፡ ወለከለዳውያን።
他們中間還有一個人，在爭戰中能用一把刀一次殺死一百人；他們的名聲便是如此。在摩押全地、在迦勒底人中間，他們都這樣著名。
And there was among them one who, in battle, could kill a hundred men at one time with a single sword; such were their names. And so were they renowned in all the land of Moab and among the Chaldeans.
2:11
ወጽኑዓን፡ እሙንቱ፡ በኀይል፡ ወቦሙ፡ ሰን፡ ወሞገሰ፡ ወቃል።
他們的力量強盛，又有威儀、恩寵與言語的口才。
And they were mighty in strength, and they had dignity and grace and eloquence.
2:12
ወኅዲ፡ መንክር፡ ስነ፡ ላህዮሙ፡ ወእምኵሉሰ፡ ዘይኂይለ፡ ስነ፡ ልቦሙ፡ በእንተ፡ ዘአምላ፡ ክዎ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወኢፈርህዎ፡ ለሞት።
他們容貌的俊美令人希奇；然而勝過這一切的，乃是他們內心的美善，因為他們敬拜主，並不懼怕死亡。
And the comeliness of their countenance was wondrous; yet stronger than all was the beauty of their heart, because they worshipped the Lord and did not fear death.
2:13
ወሶበ፡ አፍርህዎሙ፡ ለሐራ፡ አልቦ፡ ዘክህለ፡ የአኀዞሙ፡ እሙንቱሰ፡ ጽኑዓን፡ አምሠጡ፡ ውስተ፡ እዙዝ፡ ደብር።
他們驚嚇了軍兵，無人能拿住他們；因為他們勇猛，便逃到一座高山上。
And when they had frightened the troops, none was able to seize them; for they, being mighty, escaped onto a lofty mountain.
2:14
ወእሙንቱሰ፡ ሐራ፡ ገብኡ፡ ውስተ፡ ሀገረ፡ ወዓደዉ፡ አናቅጸ፡ ሀገር፡ ወገረምዎሙ፡ ለሕ፡ ዝብ፡ እንዘ፡ ይብሉ፡ ለእመ፡ እያምጻእክምዎ፡ ለእሉ፡ ዕደዉ፡ መቃብያን፡ ንሕነ፡ ናውዕያ፡ ለሀገርክሙ፡ በእሳት፡ ወንልዕክ፡ ኀበ፡ ንጉሥ፡ ወናጠፍዓ፡ ለሀገርክሙ።
那些軍兵回到城裡，關上城門，恐嚇眾民說：「你們若不把那些人，就是馬加比眾子交給我們，我們就要放火燒你們的城，並打發人去報告王，毀滅你們的城。」
And those troops returned to the city and shut the gates of the city, and they terrified the people, saying, Unless you bring us these men, the Maccabees, we will burn your city with fire, and we will send word to the king and destroy your city.
2:15
ወውእተ፡ ጊዜ፡ ወፅኡ፡ ሰብአ፡ ሀገር፡ ነዳያን፡ ወብዑላን፡ እድ፡ ወአንስተ፡ ዕቢራተ፡ ወእጓለ፡ ማውታ፡ ወኵሎሙ፡ ጸርሑ፡ ኅቡረ፡ ወአንሥኡ፡ አዕይንቲሆሙ፡ ውስተ፡ ደብር፡ ወጸርሑ፡ ኀቤሆሙ፡ እንዘ፡ ይብሉ፡ ኢታጥፍዑ፡ ኪያነ፡ ወሀገረነ።
那時，城裡的人都出來，無論貧窮富足、年老的婦人與孤兒，眾人一同哀求；他們舉目望向那山，向他們呼喊說：「不要毀滅我們，不要毀滅我們的城。」
And at that time the people of the city went out, poor and rich, and aged women and orphans, and they all cried out together; and they lifted up their eyes toward the mountain and cried out to them, saying, Do not destroy us and our city.
2:16
ወሶቤሃ፡ በከቱ፡ ኅቡረ፡ ወረርሁ፡ እምእግዚአብሔር።
那時，他們一同哭泣，並滿了對主的敬畏。
And then they wept together and were filled with the fear of the Lord.
2:17
ወዓረዩ፡ ገጾሙ፡ መንገለ፡ ምሥራቅ፡ ወጸለዩ፡ ኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ሰፊሆሙ፡ ኅቡረ፡ እደዊሆሙ፡ ወይቤሉ፡ ንዕበዮሙነ፡ እግዚኦ፡ ለእሉ፡ ዓላውያነ፡ ሕግከ፡ ወትእዛዘከ።
他們面向東方，一同向主禱告，並伸開雙手說：「主啊，為了你的緣故，我們豈能勝過這些違揹你律法、違揹你誡命的人嗎？
And they turned their faces toward the east and prayed to the Lord, spreading out their hands together, and they said, Shall we overcome for Your sake, O Lord, these who transgress Your law and Your commandment?
2:18
ንሕነሰ፡ ኢንፈቅድ፡ ንስማዕ፡ ቃሎ፡ ለውእቱ፡ ዕልዉ፡ ዘኢተአምኖ፡ ለሕግከ፡ አላ፡ በወ፡ ርቅ፡ ወበብሩር፡ በዕፅ፡ ወበዕብን፡ ግብረ፡ ዕደ፡ ሰብእ።
至於我們，並不願聽那悖逆者的話，他不信你的律法，反倒信靠金銀，信靠人手所造的木石。
As for us, we do not wish to hear the word of that rebel who does not believe in Your law, but trusts in gold and in silver, in wood and in stone, the work of men's hands.
2:19
ወይረሲ፡ ርእሶ፡ ከመ፡ እሉ፡ ዘፈጠርዎ፡ እንዘ፡ ሀሎከ፡ አንተ፡ ፈጣሪሁ፡ ዘትቀትል፡ ወተ፡ ሐዩ፡ ውእቱሰ፡ ከዓዌ፡ ደም፡ ሰብእ፡ ወበላዒ፡ ሥጋ፡ ሰብእ።
他自高自大，彷彿是這些物造了他，其實你纔是他的創造主，是叫人死、叫人活的；而他卻是傾流人血、吞喫人肉的。
And he sets himself up as though these things had created him, while You are his Creator, who kills and who makes alive; but he is a shedder of human blood and an eater of human flesh.
2:20
ወንሕነሰ፡ ኢንፈቅድ፡ ንርአይ፡ ገጾ፡ ለውእቱ፡ ዕልው፡ ወንሰምዓ፡ ለቃሉ።
至於我們，並不願看那悖逆者的臉，也不願聽他的話。
And as for us, we do not wish to look upon the face of that rebel, nor to listen to his word.
2:21
ወባሕቱ፡ ለእመ፡ አዘዝከነ፡ አንተ፡ ኀቤሁ፡ ነሐውር፡ ውንሚጡ፡ ነፍስነ፡ ለሞት፡ በእንቲ፡ አከ፡ ወኢንሰምዕ፡ ቃሎ፡ ለውእቱ፡ ዕልው፡ ሶበ፡ ይብል፡ ሡዑ፡ ለአማልክትየ።
然而你若吩咐我們，我們就去他那裡；我們寧願捨命赴死，也不聽那悖逆者說『向我的眾神獻祭』這話。
But if You command us, we will go to him; and we will give up our souls to death for the sake of evil rather than listen to the word of that rebel when he says, Sacrifice to my gods.
2:22
ወንሕነሰ፡ እግዚኦ፡ በኵሉ፡ ልብነ፡ ኪያከ፡ ተወከልነ፡ አምላኮሙ፡ ለአበዊነ፡ እለ፡ ይገብሩ፡ ፈቃደከ፡ ወሖሩ፡ በሕገከ፡ አምላከ፡ አብርሃም፡ ይስሐቅ፡ ወያዕቆብ፡ ዘትፈትን፡ ልበ፡ ወኵልያተ።
主啊，至於我們，已盡心信靠你，就是我們列祖的神，他們行你的旨意，遵行你的律法；你是亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的神，是鑒察人心腸肺腑的。
And as for us, O Lord, with all our heart we have put our trust in You, the God of our fathers who did Your will and walked in Your law, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who tries the heart and the inward parts.
2:23
ወትጢይቆ፡ ለጻድቅ፡ ወለኃጥእ፡ ወተሐትት፡ ዘውስተ፡ ልበ፡ ሰብእ፡ ወአልቦ፡ ዘይሤወረከ፡ ኅቡዕኒ፡ ክሠት፡ በኀቤከ።
你鑒察義人與罪人，洞悉人心中的事；沒有什麼能向你隱藏，連隱密的事也在你面前顯露。
You examine the righteous and the sinner, and You search what is in the heart of man; and there is nothing hidden from You, but the secret thing is laid open before You.
2:24
ወንሕነሰ፡ አልብነ፡ ባዕድ፡ አምላክ፡ ዘእንበሌከ።
至於我們，除你以外，再沒有別神。
And as for us, we have no other God apart from You.
2:25
ወባሕቱ፡ ኩነነ፡ ኀይለ፡ ወጽንዓ፡ ወፀውነ፡ ውስተ፡ ዝንተ፡ ግብር፡ ዘንትቀነይ፡ ለከ፡ ከመ፡ ንመጡ፡ ነፍስነ፡ እሞት፡ በእንተ፡ ስምከ፡ ቅዱስ።
求你在我們為你所盡的這事上，作我們的能力、堅強與避難所，叫我們為你聖名的緣故捨命赴死。
But be for us power and strength and a refuge in this work to which we are bound for You, that we may give up our souls to death for the sake of Your holy name.
2:26
ወአመ፡ በዓቶሙ፡ ለእስራኤል፡ ብሔረ፡ ግብፅ፡ ሰማዕከ፡ ጸሎቶ፡ ለያዕቆብ፡ ወይእዜኒ፡ ንስአለከ፡ አምላክ፡ ቅዱስ።
當以色列進入埃及地的時候，你垂聽了雅各的禱告；如今我們也照樣求你，聖潔的神啊。」
And when Israel entered the land of Egypt, You heard the prayer of Jacob; and now also we ask You, O holy God.
2:27
ወሶበ፡ አስተርአይዎሙ
他們禱告完畢，有兩個容貌俊美的人向他們顯現，站在他們面前；那如閃電般可畏的火劍落下、砍斷他們的頸項，他們便死了；但就在那時，他們又起來，痊癒如初。
And when they had finished praying, two men of fair appearance appeared to them, standing before them; and as the fiery swords, terrifying as lightning, came down and cut their necks, they died; but at that very time they rose up and were whole as before.
2:28
ወፈድፋደ፡ ስነ፡ ላ፡ ሳህዮሙ፡ ወበርሁ፡ እምፀሐይ፡ ወሠነዩ፡ እምዘቀዳሚ።
他們容貌的俊美越發出眾，比日頭更加光亮，比先前更為美麗。
And the comeliness of their countenance became exceedingly fair, and they shone brighter than the sun, and they were more beautiful than before.
