衣索比亞馬加比一書 第 26 章

But the poor again take thought upon their bed; and if the rich do not receive them, they become like a dry tree that has no moisture; and where there is no moisture, the root does not sprout, and where there is no root, no shoot sprouts forth.

And if the shoot does not sprout, it bears no fruit; for the shoot serves for the production of fruit, and that which has no fruit has no good deed; for the head of a man is the fruit of righteousness.

And if he does righteousness, he bears uprightness as fruit, and the Lord rejoices in a man who does righteousness and uprightness.

And He grants his prayer to him who prays, and the labour of his lips, and does not oppress the righteous because of the righteousness he has done.

And He does not justify the sinner without repentance, because of the evil of his deeds which he has done; for the Lord is righteous and loves righteousness, and shows no partiality to the person of the rich nor of the poor in judgment; for He is the Lord of heaven and earth, and the soul of all is in His hand.
