And He makes their dwelling shine with a light beyond telling, where Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are, and David and Solomon and Hezekiah, and all the good kings whose dwelling is bright because they did the will of the Lord; and it is not like a hall that is on the earth, but a hall that is in heaven, exceedingly awesome and pure, paved with gold and silver and sapphire.
It is far beyond the imagining of man, its appearance exceedingly bright, that hall of the kingdom of heaven, bright with topaz and emerald and crystal and pearl.
And with every precious stone, beyond the imagining of man, is that hall of the kingdom, exceedingly bright, which He Himself fashioned with skill as He alone knows, that hall of the kingdom of heaven; and its pavement is pure, of gold and silver and crystal and emerald and jasper, and crystal and silk.

And thus it is beautiful and goodly exceedingly, and pure and bright.

And it is established in righteousness and in uprightness, and built in grace and in mercy.
And in the courts of His house, it is planted with the sweet fruits of the garden, each after its own appearance and its own fragrance, and vineyards of vines and olive trees and oil, and the fragrance of its fruit is exceedingly sweet and goodly.
And when one who is in the flesh came near to it, from the sweetness of the fragrance of its fruit his soul would go forth out of the greatness of the gladness that was upon him.
And there the good kings who did the will of the Lord rejoice in their deeds; and their station too is sure, at the station of life for ever in the kingdom of heaven.
And He showed that as it is in heaven, so also on the earth; according to the greatness of their kingdom on the earth, and according as men honour them and bow down to them, so also in heaven they are honoured and exalted and made glad, if they have done good in their life upon the earth.
But those who are wicked in their kingdom and in their rule which the Lord gave them, and who do not judge in righteousness and uprightness, and who do not deliver the oppressed and the stranger and the orphan, because they despised the cry of the poor and the needy;
and who did not deliver the poor and the needy from the hand of him who oppressed them, and did not satisfy the hungry out of their food, and did not give the thirsty to drink out of their drink, and did not turn their ear to the cry of the children of men;
such men they shall carry away into the dwelling of Sheol, the place of thick darkness; and as great as their honour was, so much the greater shall be their shame and their distress, when that great day which the Lord has made comes upon them, and His wrath; even as David said in the psalm, O Lord, rebuke me not in Your anger, neither chasten me in Your wrath.
yet in heaven there is the One who holds all, and the souls of all are in His hand, and the life of all is in His mouth; who gives honour to those who honour Him, and gives delight to those who love Him; for He rules over all and judges all.
And He tries the heart and the inward parts, for He is the King of heaven and earth, who grants his petition to him who prays to Him with a pure heart.
It was not by your own power that you took this kingdom, nor by your own ability that you sat upon this throne; but He Himself, of His own will, set you upon the throne of the kingdom, that He might prove you, whether you are able to rule His people, as Saul did in those days when he ruled His people; and he became blind to the word of the Lord and to the word of Samuel the prophet, and did not slay the king of Amalek and his people.
For the Lord said to Samuel the prophet, Go, say to Saul, Go and make war upon the land of Amalek, and slay all their kings and their inhabitants, both man and beast; for they have provoked Me by transgressing the law and by worshipping idols and bowing down to graven images, and by their abominations and by every defiled deed that has no profit.

And therefore, when they had provoked the Lord, He sent that he should slay them.
But he spared their king, and much of the cattle also, and the women and the virgins, and the choice of their young men; and therefore the Lord said to Samuel the prophet, Because he has transgressed My word and has not heeded My commandment, go, tear away his kingdom.
For I gave him the kingdom that he might do My will; and when he refused to do My will, I plucked him out of his purity. And as for you, go, speak and say to him, Do you so set yourself against the Lord, who made you king over His people Israel and set you upon the throne of His kingdom?
6:26

And you did not know how great was that which He gave you, even great honour and majesty.
And then the king was afraid and rose up from his seat and took hold of the garment of Samuel, and as Samuel turned to go, the garment of Samuel was torn.
6:30
And Samuel said to Saul, The Lord has torn away your kingdom.
And again Saul said to Samuel, Honour me before the people, and make reconciliation for me before the Lord, that He may have mercy on me; but Samuel refused to turn back his word, for he feared the word of the Lord his Maker, and did not fear the mortal king.
And as for that wicked one who transgressed the word of the Lord, a foul spirit seized him and smote his head; for the Lord does not respect a king who works iniquity, since He is the King of kings who is ruled by none.
And from Saul too He took away the kingdom, from him and from his son, even as He said: The house of David goes up to be exalted, but the house of Saul goes down to be brought low.
And the Lord took vengeance on the seed of the house of Saul because he provoked Him; and He did not let his rebels go unpunished, those who provoked Him by the evil of their deeds; for whoever is not avenged is no enemy of the Lord, but he who is the enemy of the Lord is avenged.
And he who does not take vengeance on the sinner while he is able to take vengeance, having authority himself, that man is in truth an enemy of the Lord, who slights the law of the Lord that is without fault.
