衣索比亞馬加比一書 第 31 章

Kings are not appointed save by My will, and the needy are not impoverished save by My commandment, and the mighty are not made strong save by My will.

And I gave David favour and wisdom to Solomon, and I added years to Hezekiah.

And I shortened the days of Goliath, and I gave strength to Samson, and again I weakened his strength.

And I delivered David My servant from the hand of Goliath the watchman.

And further from the hand of Saul the king, and further from the hand of the other watchman who opposed him, and from the hand of all who opposed him and contended against him, because he kept My commandment.

And I loved him; and all those who keep My commandment, kings and governors, I too love them and give them strength and victory over their enemies; for they too have gladdened Me.

And again I will give them the land of inheritance which I swore to their fathers, a land pure and bright, that they may inherit the land of their fathers.
