1:1

ራእይ፡ ዘርእየ፡ ኢሳይያስ፡ ወልደ፡ አሞጽ፣፡ ዘርእየ፡ በእንተ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወበእንተ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም፡ በመንግስተ፡ ዖዝያን፡ ወኢዮአታም፡ ወአካዝ፡ ወሕዝቅያስ፡ እለ፡ ነግሡ፡ ለይሁዳ።

當烏西雅、約坦、亞哈斯、希西家作猶大王的時候，亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞得默示，論到猶大和耶路撒冷。

The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

1:2

ስማዕ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወአጽምዒ፡ ምድር፡ እስመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ነበበ፡ ወይቤ፤ ውሉደ፡ ወለድኩ፡ ወአልሀቁ፤ እሙንቱሰ፡ ዐለዉኒ።

天哪，要聽！地啊，側耳而聽！因為耶和華說：我養育兒女，將他們養大，他們竟悖逆我。

Hear, heavens, and listen, earth; for Yahweh has spoken: “I have nourished and brought up children and they have rebelled against me.

1:3

ላህምኒ፡ አእመረ፡ ዘአጥረዮ፡ ወአድግኒ፡ ምቅማሖ፡ ወቤተ፡ እግዚኡ፤ እስራኤልሰ፡ ኢያእመሩኒ፡ ወሕዝብየኒ፡ ኢጠየቁኒ።

牛認識主人，驢認識主人的槽，以色列卻不認識；我的民卻不留意。

The ox knows his owner, and the donkey his master’s crib; but Israel doesn’t know. My people don’t consider.”

1:4

አሌሎ፡ ለሕዝብ፡ ኃጥእ፣፡ ሕዝብ፡ ዘምሉእ፡ ዓመፃ፣፡ ዘርአ፡ እኩያን፣፡ ውሉድ፡ ጽልሕዋን፤ ኀደግምዎ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወአምዐዕክምዎ፡ ለቅዱሰ፡ እስራኤል።

嗐！犯罪的國民，擔着罪孽的百姓；行惡的種類，敗壞的兒女！他們離棄耶和華，藐視以色列的聖者，與他生疏，往後退步。

Ah sinful nation, a people loaded with iniquity, offspring of evildoers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken Yahweh. They have despised the Holy One of Israel. They are estranged and backward.

1:5

እፎ፡ እንከ፡ ትቈስሉ፡ እንዘ፡ ትዌስኩ፡ ኃጢአተ፡ በዲበ፡ ኃጢአት፤ ኵሉ፡ ርእስ፡ ለሕማም፡ ወኵሉ፡ ልብ፡ ለኃዘን።

你們為甚麼屢次悖逆，還要受責打嗎？你們已經滿頭疼痛，全心發昏。

Why should you be beaten more, that you revolt more and more? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

1:6

እምእግር፡ እስከ፡ ርእስ፡ ዘኢኮነ፡ ቊስለ፡ ወዘኢኮነ፡ ፍቅዓተ፡ ወዘኢኮነ፡ ጸልዐ፡ ዘይመግል፤ ወአልቦ፡ ከመ፡ ይጠይዕዎ፡ ሥራየ፡ ወኢይፀምምዎ፡ ወኢይቀብእዎ።

從腳掌到頭頂，沒有一處完全的，盡是傷口、青腫，與新打的傷痕，都沒有收口，沒有纏裹，也沒有用膏滋潤。

From the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness in it, but wounds, welts, and open sores. They haven’t been closed, bandaged, or soothed with oil.

1:7

ምድርክሙኒ፡ በድወ፡ ወአህጉሪክሙኒ፡ ውዕያ፡ በእሳት፤ ወለበሐውስቲክሙኒ፡ ፀር፡ ይበልዖ፡ በቅድሜክሙ፣፡ ያማስኖ፡ ወያመዘብሮ፡ ፀር፡ ነኪር።

你們的地土已經荒涼；你們的城邑被火焚毀。你們的田地在你們眼前為外邦人所侵吞，既被外邦人傾覆就成為荒涼。

Your country is desolate. Your cities are burned with fire. Strangers devour your land in your presence and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.

1:8

ወትትኀደግ፡ ወለተ፡ ጽዮን፡ ከመ፡ ልገተ፡ ዓቃቤ፡ ቀምሕ፡ ወከመ፡ ዳሰ፡ ዓቃቤ፡ ወይን፡ ወከመ፡ ሀገር፡ ሕጽርት።

僅存錫安城，好像葡萄園的草棚，瓜田的茅屋，被圍困的城邑。

The daughter of Zion is left like a shelter in a vineyard, like a hut in a field of melons, like a besieged city.

1:9

ወሶበ፡ አኮ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ጸባኦት፡ ዘአትረፈ፡ ለነ፡ ዘርአ፡ ከመ፡ ሰዶም፡ እምኮነ፡ ወከመ፡ ገሞራ፡ እመሰልነ።

若不是萬軍之耶和華給我們稍留餘種，我們早已像所多瑪、蛾摩拉的樣子了。

Unless Yahweh of Armies had left to us a very small remnant, we would have been as Sodom. We would have been like Gomorrah.
