📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

And the desert places of the Jordan shall blossom and exult; the glory of Lebanon was given to her, and the honour of Carmel. And my people shall see the glory of the Lord and the loftiness of God.
Take comfort, you who are faint-hearted in mind; be strong, do not fear. Behold, our God renders judgement, and he will repay; he himself will come and save us.
Then the lame shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of stammerers shall be clear; for water has burst out in the desert, and a ravine in a thirsty land.
And the waterless place shall become marshes, and in the thirsty land there shall be a spring of water; there shall be the joy of birds, a haunt of reeds and marshes.
There shall be a clean way there, and it shall be called a holy way; and no unclean person shall pass by there, nor shall there be there an unclean way. But the scattered shall walk upon it and shall not go astray.
And those gathered because of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with gladness, and everlasting gladness shall be over their head; for upon their head is praise and exultation, and gladness shall seize them; pain and grief and groaning have fled away.
