📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

Awake, awake, Zion; put on your strength, Zion; and put on your glory, Jerusalem, the holy city; the uncircumcised and the unclean shall no longer continue to pass through you.
And now, why are you here? Thus says the Lord. Because my people were taken for nothing, you marvel and wail. Thus says the Lord: Because of you my name is continually blasphemed among the nations.
As a season upon the mountains, as the feet of one who brings good news of a report of peace, as one who brings good news of good things; for I will make your salvation heard, saying to Zion: Your God shall reign.
For the voice of those who guard you has been lifted up, and together they shall rejoice at that voice; for eyes shall look upon eyes when the Lord has mercy on Sion.
For you shall not come out in tumult, nor shall you go in flight; for the Lord shall go before you, and the one who gathers you together is the Lord, the God of Israel.
So shall many nations marvel at him, and kings shall shut their mouths; for those to whom nothing was announced about him shall see, and those who have not heard shall understand.
