📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

I became manifest to those who did not seek me; I was found by those who did not inquire of me. I said, Behold, here I am, to a nation that did not call on my name.
This is the people that provokes me to my face continually; they sacrifice in the gardens and burn incense upon bricks to the demons, which do not exist;
and they sleep in the tombs and in the caves for the sake of dreams; they eat swine's flesh and the broth of sacrifices, and all their vessels are defiled.
their sins and the sins of their fathers, says the Lord, who burned incense upon the mountains and reproached me upon the hills. I will repay their deeds into their bosom.
Thus says the Lord: As when a grape is found in the cluster and they say, Do not spoil it, for a blessing of the Lord is in it, so will I do for the sake of him who serves me; for his sake I will not destroy them all.
And I will bring forth the seed from Jacob, and from Judah, and he shall inherit my holy mountain; and my chosen ones shall inherit it, and my servants, and they shall dwell there.
I will deliver you over to the sword; you shall all fall in the slaughter. For I called you and you did not obey; I spoke and you did not listen; and you did what was evil before me, and chose the things in which I did not delight.
Therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, those who serve me shall eat, but you shall be hungry; behold, those who serve me shall drink, but you shall be thirsty; behold, those who serve me shall rejoice, but you shall be put to shame.
which shall be blessed upon the earth; for they shall bless the true God, and those who swear upon the earth shall swear by the true God. For they shall forget their former affliction, and it shall not come up into their heart.
And there shall no longer be there one untimely born, nor an old man who does not fill out his time; for the young man shall be a hundred years old, but the sinner who dies at a hundred years shall also be accursed.
They shall not build and others dwell in them, nor shall they plant and others eat; for according to the days of the tree of life shall the days of my people be, and they shall long enjoy the works of their toil.
And my chosen ones shall not labor in vain, nor bear children for a curse; for they are a seed blessed by God, and their descendants shall be with them.
Then wolves and lambs shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like an ox, and the serpent shall eat earth as bread. They shall not hurt nor destroy on my holy mountain, says the Lord.
